This version of the program is not compatible with my version 4 iPad. No problem with staying in the previous version except for the repeated notifications of the update. It would be nice to make the update compatible with my version 4 iPad or to stop the update notices.

Constant Updates! Programming & development team seem to be “Fly By Night” and constantly making so called “Bug Fixes” for the same thing. They apparently don’t test their products thoroughly before making a change. Even after the update is applied, KSDKWeather goes into some kind of automatic routine that appears to be capturing personal information to send back to them during the upgrade process before you can even check to see what overrides they may have applied to the security settings.

I just downloaded the most recent update and now my app, which was working just fine beforehand, now will not load. It just crashes every time I try and load it

The old version was way better. Simple, right to the point. New version is not user friendly. Also, the warnings and watches get in the way of the radar when it’s not in motion. Disappointing!

Update is not compatible with this IOS version. Goes to update, says it's up to date.

It’s not working.

I have used KSDKWeather for about 5 years or more. Would have given it a 5++ before latest update. I had recommended to countless other people. The recent update is very disappointing. The satellite is an old version now, at least two years old. I don’t automatically get current storm movement on the screen. I have tried updating layers and it does not fix the problem.

New version of KSDKWeather is terrible. Watches and warnings make radar impossible to see. With the old app we could adjust the opacity, new app doesn’t give that option. If I’m in my basement for a tornado warning, I want to be able to see where the storm is!

This was always my go to weather app but this latest update is horrible! I will be using channel 2 from now on.

This used to be a pretty good app for radar and wx forecasts. However, it has become very inconsistent regarding precipitation returns on the radar. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I usually have to flick KSDKWeather off the device and open it again. This happens on my iPhone, iPad, and my wife’s iPhone and iPad, too. I think it might have something to do with the recent iOS updates and KSDKWeather updates.

I don’t know what y’all did to my favorite weather app, but it will not do anything now but show me the channel 5 logo. ???? 😡

This was and still is my favorite weather app but the last update has some issues. First, as others have alluded to, hard to see map because of dark precipitation overlay. Also, the toggle buttons at top to check various locations are missing. I assume these items are known and being worked on, but wanted to pass along to be sure.

I use KSDKWeather first whenever I need to check the weather. KSDK is my most trusted source for this kind of stuff. That being said, KSDKWeather can be improved. The video section hasn't worked for me in ages. The thumbnail is ancient (it has the old school bus from your old bus stop forecasts), and whenever I watch the video, it is current, but it is choppy (almost like a delayed frame-by-frame) and doesn't play volume. This is very disappointing to me because I don't watch much TV and it would be convenient to watch the weather forecast in KSDKWeather . KSDKWeather interface is outdated, but it doesn't hinder the experience and is very easy to understand and use. Overall, it is an excellent app needing a few tweaks to really set it over the edge into being the best app it can be.

I’ve had zero issues with KSDKWeather. You can set the alerts, the radar is helpfully laid out clearly showing storm progressions and the forecast is as accurate as youll find in an app. More detailed information than most apps and easy to use.

Whatever the down falls in the past I currently don't see any. First KSDKWeather is FREE so shut up and color; also, the videos are current each night. I can store multiple cities and switch very quickly between them on map view. It shows the weather for the next 10 days and the current 3 day forecast along with current temp wind etc along with precip all on the same view. Anyone who gives this less than 5 stars is too harsh of a critic and should volunteer to write the software next time.
