NBC Nightly News Reviews

Regardless of how many times one completes this APPs "fix it" form, whoever manages NBCNightlyNews , fails to fix the issue of the news updating! This mostly occurs on weekends so one attempts to read the "NEWS" only to find the news is unchanged from Thursday or Friday, through to Tuesday! What good is a News APP with a smattering of news from maybe Tuesday through Thursday? That is not NEWS, but SNOOZE!
Additionally, The so-called news is just fairy-tales through rose-colored glasses! The format needs to be changed; it needs to be hard-charging and hard-edged! NBC NEWS as it is currently presented in NBCNightlyNews, tells me that NBC spends more on its anchors than it does on reporting and investigating. Clean up your act, NBC!

NBCNightlyNews has been very glitchy for some time. When opening NBCNightlyNews to read the news, the screen is blank with bare headlines outlined. NBCNightlyNews can take up to a minute to load before anything can be read. Even once NBCNightlyNews is loaded, it can still lock up when reading a story and not being able to scroll up or down. I like NBC news but using NBCNightlyNews is frustrating. I'm still hoping it gets fixed.

I like NBC Nightly News but NBCNightlyNews is almost nonfunctional. Until recently, it wasn’t bad (not great either) but now, forget it. As other reviewers have noted, the ads run smoothly but when the news starts, there’s often a banner that the network connection is weak. Once you get past that, the video constantly freezes. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling but that doesn’t work. I love Lester Holt but I’m switching to CBS.

I love to watch NBC Nightly News. But NBCNightlyNews is never kept up to date. As a result, the broadcasts available to watch are days behind and consistently never updated. It baffles me that a highly respected news organization cannot find a way to keep the content updated daily. I love the show, but it gets really old to pull up NBCNightlyNews and have news from days ago. I’ll be finding another news source. Very disappointing.

Surprised to see all the complaints. I’ve never had a problem, and you can’t get a better content to ad ratio anywhere. It’s part of our nightly ritual now. Thanks for such great content!

Overall ok, but glitchy at times. With a recent update, the bar now appears on the bottom of the screen when double clicking the home button and is very annoying as it overtakes the apple menu. Ready to delete the nightly news app if not fixed.

Great app!! Enjoy being able to see today's broadcast anywhere I may be. 2 stars off for missed episode S (not uploaded to app for some reason?!?!) and adds that run during the broadcast. Otherwise, good stuff.

I don’t understand why all the ads stream without any difficulty, but when it comes to the actual news, NBCNightlyNews immediately says “weak network connection detected” and the thing spins and spins. I can stream any movie, music, or other app without problems; but NBC Nightly News? It’s like the servers are out of the 60’s!

I like NBC news, but obviously you have to watch live because they can write an app that maintains history. Why is it that CBS can retain 6days and NBC barely manages 1-2 days?

For awhile...about a month it was great, newsfeeds coming in daily like it should. That guy must have been a temp!

Come on fix your app! I welcome the chance to speak to the developer if you wish to discuss and discount my review.

Why on earth does NBCNightlyNews always show the “weak network detected”? I literally have the fast internet speed in my neighborhood. Fix this. It’s annoying.

Freezes all the time and says poor network connection no matter which internet connection you use anywhere you go so that is a programed lie to take the blame off NBCNightlyNews itself. NBCNightlyNews is a piece of garbage looking for a different news app that works without constant freezing and buffering.

You really need to fire who ever is managing NBCNightlyNews, the video are incorrectly labeled, some don't have sound or are the wrong date. And it is never up to date your always 2 days behind so dumb, Bring back podcast cause your app is horrible!!

NBCNightlyNews 'works quite well on iPad Mini / iOS 10.3 but on my brand new iPod Touch / iOS 11.4 I get "Unable to download stories, please try again later". This has been goingon for the last couple of hours yet the iPad works fine... same location and LAN.

Since they changed the format, I do not like it as well. I would rather read rather it like in the prior format than to have to play a video.
