This light app completely useless and only offers a giant vocabulary set and not a reduced field size. PRC should remove this and put something more functional on. We’re going to go with Toby DynaVox instead or a different provider.

Why would you have an app for people who cannot speak that doesn’t have a voice. What a bait and switch! Disgrace

There is no vocal output!!! I bought this to use with my students for AAC in the school. Very upset there is no voice, a waste of money.

This "lite" app was useless in my practice and for my clients. Lots of icons but no speech output. Not useful for functional communication. The fact that there is no output is not made clear prior to purchase.

These are just example buttons that do not produce speech sounds. It’s what I’d expect to see for free, not pay $10 for. Waste of money. 😣

I got TouchChatDiscover to trial it with a client to rate response prior to recommending a family to purchase. I thought it would have limited capabilities, but TouchChatDiscover produces no speech output, which makes it completely non functional.

New update broke my paid license and support won’t help me fix it.

I got TouchChatDiscover and I played around with it but I tried pushing the message bar to see if It would repeat I said but it didn’t and I couldn’t add new words or new category’s to it, it’s useless and waste of money don’t get TouchChatDiscover

TouchChatDiscover is completely nonfunctional. The speech therapist nor I saw the notation that there is no speech synthesis with the lite versions. We thought the vocabulary would be limited but that we could introduce my son to this version while waiting on the funding to process for the full version. Exactly what is the point of the lite versions? You can see the program in action online, so it befuddles me why the developer offers these versions.

Does not work with iOS 16 and new iPhone

Though I would have preferred voice output, I knew what I was buying. The first sentence of the description says it is "non-communicative" and also says there is no speech synthesis. Perhaps the description was different when others bought it, but you need to be very careful when purchasing apps.

What happened to the teenage voices that you could choose from, I can’t find it I love TouchChatDiscover

I use it for practicing Spanish. Sure it doesn’t have sound features, but if you want to pay over $100, go for it! For (whatever I paid for it), it is an excellent resource for visual language-learning!

TouchChatDiscover is a great diagnostic and training tool for the TouchChat program. It provides access to all of the wonderful Vocabulary sets in the full TouchChat program. Well worth the money. Sure, it would be great to have the full program with voice output for trials but when that's not possible, this is a great alternative.

I beg to differ with the other review. The point of reviewing an app is to see if the language features will match your users needs. If you need to see if voice output is helpful, you can download many free apps for the user to see the benefits of voice output. I personally appreciate that I can see all of the vocabulary options that are available, while other Lite versions only give me limited information.
