Scoutible: Discover Yourself Reviews

Shared it with some of the people i work with.

Here’s some issues I noticed:

1) Empathize. It’s that it’s quite hard to empathize with the characters on the screen. You just show up in the middle of nowhere and given a task with very little context and character development. Given time to immerse in that world, I felt my actions would be different.

2)Consequences. In real life you might not rudely end a convo with a possibly dangerous person while in the game you can freely do so with no physical or social consequences.

3)Eurocentric. Setting is in a western format. It’s even harder to feel immersed when you’re not from western culture. All kinds of lords and dukes that is completely foreign. A more culturally neutral setting would bring more accurate test results to non-westernized individuals, especially asian cultures which are more contextual given different social settings.

4)POV. Looking at the character from a eye in the sky third point of view, it’s easy to feel that you’re controlling a ‘Sim’ character rather than that character being yourself.

5) Gender. Even choosing the he/him pronouns I am still assigned to a female character. Another roadblock with immersiveness.

Summary: I felt too distant from the playable character to really feel that the actions I compel it to do are actually ‘my actions’. Thus made me doubt the accuracy of the results.

I was referred to this app by an employee of theirs, who we’ll call Fletcher. Let’s just say Fletcher changed my life.

The game itself is phenomenal, up there with the likes of Skyrim and Zelda. While challenging at times, it piqued my interest with a racing plot and plenty of choices. I really felt in control, and that’s important to me ;).

More importantly, however, was the post-game analysis. I’ve never felt as understood or seen as I did viewing my results. I am #teamprodigy for life! My wife also played the game, and with our results we were able to communicate like never before. We cancelled our next marriage counseling appointment and decided to use that time for something more productive. We’re now expecting a child next March!

I really love the whole game angle as well as the accurate and detailed personality analysis however the one thing I have to critique is the “jobs you are interested in” field at the end of completing your resume. Me personally I am an animal science major in undergrad and for some reason when I tried to type that in the interests box (or basically anything related to biological at all) nothing in the drop down menus showed up for me. In addition the box wasn’t marked complete unless I picked something from the drop down box. (I ended up picking a talent scout). Besides that the game and evaluation is amazing however because of that bug. I would only use this site as a reference instead of a main hub to tie all of my job accounts and resumes together.

I really like the idea of playing a game and being able to learn one’s strengths. My profile really clicks with me and I feel like it does a good job of representing who I am. However, I’m really disappointed I didn’t get to read info about the other teams and skills. (I couldn’t find this info anywhere, if it is out there I’d love to know! Can you tell I’m team savant?) I want to be able to understand what others strengths can be and what skills they have. I think this could also be a great tool to help teams better work together as they can use it to understand each other’s strengths.

Let’s play a game of Never Have I Ever. I’ll go first. Never have I ever loved any app on my phone more than this app. Honestly, Scoutible deserves 6 stars. I’m not sure who decided the reviews would be limited to 5 stars but they need to rethink that. This game is a pleasure to play and doesn’t feel at all like the powerful tool it is. Once the game has determined enough about your decision-making to create an assessment for potential employers, your portfolio is in your hands to distribute. Employers should take note and other job search/application sites should be quivering in fear. this app is the future.

I liked it! it was pretty fun and really helpful in deciding what to put in the “skills” area of an application or job website. I really never know what to put there and this was a fun way to maybe discover something about myself while also making a stronger resume!

This application analyzes your dialogue and approach to solve challenges. It detects how thorough you are at accomplishing the task with what degree of accuracy. This does in a lot of ways reflect real world skills depending on how seriously you take it. This truly involves zero gaming experience and is just a serious of dialogues like a RuneScape/Skyrim Quest although there are no wrong answers which is where the analysis comes into play. Would recommend for many people to see their strengths in real world scenarios. To have accurate results, take the experience seriously while having fun :)

Very interesting method to discover your personality and traits through playing a game. The job hiring process has been flawed in many ways and often times employers end up picking the wrong candidate or missed out on someone with great potential because they may have lacked the experience on their resume or had a bad interview. This could be the future of the job hiring process to finding the right candidate for employers.

I enjoy Scoutible because it stands out from other standard personality and skills tests that contain multiple choice type questions (i get bored during those). It was fun to play and I loved that it reminded you that there are no wrong answers and to just play like yourself. Also, the description that I got matched up with some of the traits I like about myself that I want employers to know about!

Scoutible is way ahead of its time, and it provides an interesting way to discover more about your leadership/work style. This is a great way to expose qualified candidates to positions that might not have been available to them without a strengths resume. Scoutible is still developing, but it definitely has the potential to transform the way employers hire talent.

After playing this game, I was very impressed with the accuracy of the results. Even though Scoutible still needs improvement, it has come a long way and honestly has the potential to be a huge player like LinkedIn in the professional networking/job finding space. Better get on this early!!

Scoutible uses a series of games to determine your "work personality", talents, skills, etc. I am amazed how accurately it described me, and it was really fun to see the kinds of people who think and operate like me. Scoutible is pretty incredible; the graphics are great, the personal interactions are really interesting, and the games are fun and challenging. Well done!!!

this app was able to calculate my strengths and interests spot on. The game was intriguing and I am amazed that it was able to gather so much accurate data in a modest amount of time. I feel confident that this app will help match me with job opportunities that fit my interests, seek my skills, and value my strengths.

Played the game and little puzzle, was redirected to a loading screen to get results - but it seems stuck loading.

Scoutible develops a great way to find people’s character traits through the fun of a game. The game is short and relatively easy. The results at the end are spot on and are applied to different aspects of your social and work life. Overall, 10/10 would recommend.

At first I downloaded Scoutible thinking nothing of it. I start playing them campaigns and everything and I was like hold up this game be hitting ya feel it be putting a brotha into a whole ‘nother world dude was seriously astounded. And on top of that it gives valuable career advice. Immaculate.

Really interesting concept that is pretty revolutionary. Simple to use and understand and gives good insight that similar products fail to give. Overall I would recommend it.

This is a very interesting concept - synthesizing information about a player’s personality traits through their decisions in a RPG. Only took ~20min, as advertised, but the feedback you receive is invaluable. I can see this becoming big.

Scoutible is perfect for undergrad students (like me) who want to get their resume out there for internships and careers out of college! Such a simple and effective way for anyone who is job seeking to not only get recognized by employers but to identify your personal strengths!!

I’m surprised at the innovative approach Scoutible uses. The clean interface created an overall enjoyable experience, and I was pretty satisfied with the results. I got a Team Savant, pretty accurate if I do say so myself.

Great features so far. I think this has potential to change the game. Great stuff. Would recommend to a friend.
