Logo in middle of screen blocks out daily and hourly info! Have to scroll to see....cannot get all info at a glance! Deleted app within 10 minutes of downloading🤷🏻‍♀️

Starting around Monday, October 25, 2021 PortlandWeatherfromKGW8 has changed slightly. Now asks users to be tracked for targeted advertising and the video feature now continues to play even after exiting PortlandWeatherfromKGW8 . When I try returning to PortlandWeatherfromKGW8 to turn off the video, I’m unable to find the video and turn it off. So I end up deleting PortlandWeatherfromKGW8 and reinstalling it. What was once a 5 star app is now a 1 star nightmare.

Why can I be watching the TV and PortlandWeatherfromKGW8 and the weather report on the TV are completely different this seems rather absurd?!

I loved the old app! It let you know with a steaming banner when and how the weather was going to change down to the minute. Was incredibly accurate! Loved that feature. Miss that and this is too slow. Too dark.

The info is good, but I cannot make the logo disappear from the middle of the screen!!! Everything scrolls behind the logo so it is very hard to feel relaxed while trying to read what’s on the screen.

I'm trying clicking on the high wind warning in the conditions tab in my iPhone and it cannot pull the information. I tried to follow the support link
And I could not report the issue... :(

The logo is in the way. Why doesn’t it go away once I’m in PortlandWeatherfromKGW8 . Really annoying. Otherwise a good app

I love weather apps and am always trying to find the right one. What happened to "regional" settings? I live in the west Gorge and wish I could get better detail out here. Also, I never know if app is updated to real time. I would like to be able to search for cities/towns/areas, too.

It is mostly good but frustrating at times. Problems include: video forecast not updated, webcams not updated, not clear which day Day Planer is for. I supplement with Weather Bug to fill in some of the gaps.

Generally good, but the video forecast is often out-dated. Recent changes apparently resulted in loss of the regional forecasts. Or else they've made them difficult to find.

I'd mainly say this is a solid local weather app, despite a few bugs, which may be due to general problems with the latest iOS on my 4s.

Great for local weather report and 7 day forecast. Occasionally the report seems to be stuck, not changing for days, thus only 4 stars.

Good app, easy to use, good interface, etc. It has one very annoying feature. The KDW logo remains floating over much of the text making it difficult to read on the iPad. I can’t see a way to get rid of it.

It’s really annoying because it’s right on top of what you are reading.

Always count on the guys on 8 for the forecast....and having a Clark Co neighbor making sure we’re included in the conversation is great!

My wife and I check out the forecast with PortlandWeatherfromKGW8 at least twice a day. Besides the graphics and text, I like the radar; I can watch the rain coming down all over the country!

I thought PortlandWeatherfromKGW8 would just be good for Portland Metro area. I have found it works across the country, also identifying the city I was in like when traveling by train. It seems plenty accurate enough to know how to dress.

Rod Hill, Matt are the best in Portland!!
The logo stays on throughout the maps...
Very frustrating.
I tried deleting and reinstalling but it stays... fix it!

Now a 5 star app! Everything I need, clearly available AND easy to read. Thank you!

It’s really a 5 Star app with everything most people wud need.
BUT
I gave it 3 Stars because it’s very difficult to read. As lovely as it is, the background photo of kayak on the dock makes it too hard to read print for hourly and daily forecasts. Perhaps I’m missing how to change it in settings but if that’s the case maybe where & how to change it needs to be easier to find. If there isnt a way to change it plz consider adding that option
