카카오내비 Reviews

Here is what Kakao did: They bought the best GPS app, called, 김기사, and completely ruined it by changing everything and making everything worse than before! Now I use Mappy. If I ever find anything good about 카카오내비, I will give it more stars, but it is so so disappointing.

When I tried to link my car, it crushed frequently and I couldn’t use 카카오내비.

It change the direction too open, i was in a strange way, leading me to a traffic accident.

I updated and now "bike mode" and other previous features are missing. As a motorcyclist in South Korea (1 of 5 countries that doesn't allow motorcycles in the express way) these features missing is a big deal. No other app had this feature, and not I'm left in the cold. I'm giving 카카오내비 a low rating until they get things back in order.

Even if you drive a car the controls from the previous 2.0 version are missing.

카카오내비 now is useless to me.

I got it for carplay support. But I am very disappointed because every time it announces direction or warning which is every 5 seconds, it pauses anything that I am listening at the moment and doesn’t resume.
That means my favorite audio app like NPR One or TuneIn radio is useless once I start this navigation. Even apple’s own podcast app isn’t immune from this malaise. Until Kakao fixes this critical flaw, I am going back to T map.

영어로 세팅이된 아이폰에서 영어안내가 기본으로 맞춰져 있는 것은 맞는데 기본 한국어 음성을 덮어쒸운 격의 버그가 생겨서 한국어를 윈하는 한인교포나 외국인들의 this app 사용이 불편해졌습니다. 테스트해보시고 수정해주시기 바랍니다. A more regular sounding Korean male voice is available at the bottom of the list, pick 남자음성 as a workaround.

카카오내비 is great. Watching one of my Korean American soldiers use it to navigate the highways in Korea with easy tells me that this is 카카오내비 to have. Only problem is, it is limited to those that understand the language. At least an English option would help us out that are in South Korea for less than a year.

if there is a way to minimize lots of ads, this should be nice app.

However, why don't you guys support apple watch navigating? I hope it could be available ASAP! 애플워치 지원해 주세요 ~~~~~

Tried with little doubt but love it. Fast and light.

I want to be able to set the language of the map to Korean even though my iPhone hone’s system language is in English.

This is my favorite navigation app in Korea. Almost as good and easy and Waze. If you are driving in Korea, a must have.

One thing, is there any way you can make this available with CarPlay? Apple Maps is woeful in Korea. However, I assume that may not be Kakao's fault but rather Apple.

Other than occasional advertisement every once in a while, this is the best GPS I have ever used.

I like the new feature of leaving useful comments left by other users/drivers.

Accurate and simple to use.

Carplay support on day 1 (actually even before it) of iOS 12!! I tried it and already love it! Thanks a lot for the quick and prompt update 👍😊

Better than others

I've been using several smart phone navi apps. Gim Gi Sa offers a light, correct, real-time traffic status with the most intuitive interface (You can designate your favorite spot on a hive-like map, click and go.. Soooo simple).
I don't know what kind of navi apps are available out there but here in Korea, Gim Gi Sa is the very one we drivers think is the best.
50허니 받으려고 하는거지만, 김기사 좋고,네이버카페에서 고객대응도 칼임. 올레네비와 김기사 두개를 상황에 따라 조합해서 쓰는 중.. 주위검색이나 대안필요시 올레,, 무조건 빨리가고플 땐 김기사~

I love AR mode of this super app.

And it has a notification feature to send a sms message or twit to family or so. Superb, I think.

My gf recommended to use 카카오내비 which would be better than others especially my poor capture's own navigation . Anyhow easy to use.
