Nice for reading. Could use a good update.

Update: notifications for subscribed threads no longer work. They stopped sometime back in March. This makes AirstreamForums far less useful, especially since the search feature does not work well.

Really handy for reading the forums. I find it easier to sift through watched threads than the website. The forum emojis don’t work in AirstreamForums. vBulletin uses proprietary emoji so that’s probably why. Not a big deal but sometimes it’s confusing.

For writing posts, it lacks some things. Namely you can’t add photos, and I take nearly all my photos with the phone.

The search feature doesn’t always work. Sometimes you have to do it multiple times for it to work.

Member views lack some features. If you want to view all posts by a certain member you can’t do that from the member’s profile, which is a bit of a bummer when someone references a post they’ve written in another thread but doesn’t link to it, which happens quite frequently in my experience.

I use AirstreamForums daily and hardly use the website. That’s because I’m mostly foraging for info and learning as I lounge around in the evening. It’s fairly good for that. If AirstreamForums had the features mentioned above, and updated to use modern UI conventions, it would be super!

That said it’s a free app and I appreciate that it’s available. The forums are priceless!

A great app and community, but missing one feature.

Others have said this, and I’m in complete agreement. AirstreamForums is wonderful and easy to use. The community is thoughtful and always there to help. AirstreamForums layout has been cleaned up with the latest revision. But one key feature from the website is not available on AirstreamForums - the ability to mute/ignore a thread.

Sometimes the discussion isn’t relevant to my needs, or is about something that I’m. It concerned with. On the website, it’s easy to mute the conversation, and it won’t show up in my thread. On AirstreamForums , the thread will keep showing up as long as users are commenting. It’s a great feature and I cannot understand why it’s not included on the mobile app.

Frustrating

I am an app developer and Application Analyst for a Fortune 500 company. I guess my expectations for a simple forum application may be too high but this one is frustrating. So far I have Run into a situation where my user ID which is also used in another forum run by the same company will not allow me to post in the airstream forum. I had to create a new user ID from a different email address in order to use the form. I’ve also run into an issue where there are selection lists to fill in some values but there is no way to null that value once you’ve selected it. Other issues as well but I am tired of wasting my time with this review. Just wanted somebody at the company to hopefully see this and fix the issues.

So Easy to Use!

Brings Airstream social media solidly into the digital age. Great user experience from mobile devices. Well done!

Can’t Update User Profile

Entering anything into or editing your user profile is a hit or miss proposition, mostly miss. Seems it is determined I’m from Arkansas and not Texas and there seems no convincing it otherwise. Probably tried to enter my trailer info 50 times but with no success. Also you have to be a less looking for a motor him even if you have a trailer. AirstreamForums needs work.

Crashing now

I've used AirstreamForums for several years, but recently it started crashing when I tried to open it on my iPad. I guess it's an update issue? The website itself is still fabulous but I can't use AirstreamForums anymore.

Grrrrrreat!

Half the fun - well, ok, maybe not half, but a lot of the fun of having an Airstream is being able to access AIR Forums and communicate with other owners. It is also probably the best resource available for owners and want- to-be owners. Most of what I know about our Airstream, I learned on the Forums.

One caveat - it is little bit tough to use in only a few respects. Posting photos is difficult for new members sometimes. Otherwise, it is pretty straightforward and self explanatory. The moderators do a great job!

Airstream forums is a must if you own or ever hope to own an Airstream.
You'll have to tinker around a bit to learn to post photos, etc. but you can start reading and learning right away.

Without Airstreams forums we would have been lost! Now we have studied the forums to the point we're pretty confident we could make most any repair and would certainly know how to evaluate an Airstream.

That's not to mention that most of our best camping pals, we met on the forums!

Information overload

It's a great site for info for people who already have general knowledge of the Airstream industry, but for someone starting at zero, it can be very confusing and information overload. Many contributors are very thoughtful and helpful. But there is a contingent of contributors who like to hear themselves type and love a good debate. Overall, it's a great site. I'm on it everyday, looking to help and debate when necessary. I don't type well. :) enjoy and keep the shiny side up.

iPad2 + Airforums app = fantastic pair

Best and quickest way to check in with previously subscribed threads, add photos to a post, and use most -- not all -- features found on the web site. Adding photos and other media is actually far less complicated than the full web site's process. Still some missing features, such as automatically returning to the place where I was reading after being interrupted by a text message (iPhone) or a notice from another app. Maybe I will figure this out, or maybe it is a limitation of AirstreamForums . Otherwise, I love the simpler version of the web site. I use it every day for my 68 Trade Wind remodeling project.

Great for sharing tech advice

Airstream owners are a special breed, just like their special trailers. Tech advice, how to, what's best for this or that is shared openly between owners. I've found the answers to so many questions here. The forum is moderated well. AirstreamForums is easy to use. One thing needed on the site is a special place for important "how to" posts to be stored for easy review.

Airstream Forum ap thumbs way up

Super job for first release ap!! Kudos! It is practically perfect. I was finally able to crash it by loading pics and flipping them back and forth, but that was after an hour of use. Very
Fine product for 'streamin' on the go.
