I signed up for TeuxDeux over a year ago under the email I use for my iCloud account. I stopped using it for about eleven months and since it had been so long, I wanted to try it again before subscribing. I attempted to delete that account about a month ago and TeuxDeux said they would. I made another account with a different email so I could try it out again before paying for a subscription. I loved it (TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo itself is 5 star worthy) and tried to do a monthly subscription but it refused to let me because of the other account, I guess? I was emailing TeuxDeux support on how I would be able to subscribe to TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo with this new account (since this one now had all my information) when I got the email from Apple saying I'd been billed by TeuxDeux (for the account I wasn't even using, which I guess they never deleted).

I loved TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo, and was obsessed with it. I told everyone about it! Liked it better than paper and pen.
Unfortunately, the new update happened overnight a few weeks ago. It’s too complex now with too many hidden fundamental features. The sidebar of lists has been reduced to a side to side swipe wheel. It takes forever to find someday lists, and the calendar doesn’t make sense anymore. It used to be a perfect layout, and now it is clunky and difficult to use. It LOOKS streamlined, but the functionality and simplicity is totally lost.
Regrettably, I have opened it only twice and immediately closed it since the reboot. I have moved to other apps.

TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo once it started was the BEST to do list ever! It was simple to use and I would pay the anual fee without complaining. But they have done a few changes which made it so difficult to use. My to dos that I check on my phone are still on the web, so I have to remove those twice. I have to click the button + to add new things, instead of just pressing return as it was before. I sent a few emails hoping that they would bring back TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo as it was, but they didn’t see the need for it. Deleting it from my phone and not renewing it again. I hope you guys could hear what your customers say because apparently I’m not only the one complaining about the updates.

It’s a rather user friendly app. I have been using it more and more on my iPhone to plan out my weeks. I like that it easy to move tasks around on a day by day basis and or by priority. I do think however, that there ought to be an easier way to delete tasks rather than to cross them out and scroll to the bottom of your list of tasks to delete it. You could just leave them crossed out but then you would require effort to remember what was done that day and what was just crossed out because it wasn’t a relevant task.
There could be more tabs or properties that can help TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo be more flexible. Like an ability to save and duplicate tasks if you need to do a single task another day but it is not a weekly, monthly or annual basis, to help mitigate the steps needed to add an already existing task more than once.
Again, this is a great app. I see great potential in it’s simplicity.

HTML version is great, but the iOS app needs work. However, both versions suffer from the disappearance of recurring list items (they show up as future to-do’s but disappear on the present day). Once this happens I have to recreate the affected item and set it to occur daily...again and again. I’m on my third try with some items.
Aside from that, TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo isn’t quite intuitive, despite the simplicity of its design. I often find myself checking off items that I mean to edit. I don’t like that moving an item requires so many steps and a lack of push notifications is a curious omission for such a pricey app (the email feature is not an adequate replacement and looks messy if you’ve decided to use markdown to make an item bold or italic).
All this for $3 a month subscription? Nah.
by TaylorPlayer
They have now raised the subscription cost of TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo from $24 a year to $36 a year but have added no features. Yes you can use the iPhone app for free but if you want anything else you have to subscribe. There is no iPad app, there are no widgets, TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo doesn’t do reminders or notifications. They removed the Timeline feature from iOS and that was one of the best things about TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo .
They say they are going to keep TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo as simple as a paper list so that would suggest there won’t be any new features coming. Why do they need to raise the subscription price? I no longer use TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo because I just don’t see where they are headed with this.

There is no other note taking app that has such an amazing UX & UI - clean and simple. Giving 3 starts because it meets expectations. What does it need to have to exceed expectations — Apple Watch support, Mac app, iPad app, apple shortcut support. There are so many note taking apps, if I am an iOS user then the eco system matters the most and across device support is a must. Plus add integrations - maybe if I create a reminder to book an appointment with my doctor I want to auto push it to my calendar (add to calendar button). Notes should open in email (superhuman email)

I have been using TeuxDeux for years and I love it. But the new update is so glitchy. I’m hopeful that they work out the bugs, but the new version glitches every time I try to reorder tasks on my phone, it doesn’t allow you to delete tasks unless you cross them off first, and when I add new tasks they sometimes appear at the top and other times at the bottom which is confusing. The website on desktop is great though and I recommend it to people all the time.

I love the design of this product and have been using it often throughout my workdays, but I’m afraid I’m going to need to switch to another to do product that’s compatible with Apple Watch. I sometimes need to leave my phone behind while working, and would love to just be able to cross tasks off on my watch without having to grab my phone or go back to my computer.
Developers, if you’re listening, please build an Apple Watch version!
Otherwise, I’m a big fan of this product.

I love the set up of TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo and I find it so beautiful and simple to use. I’m a big fan of the flying cats and the customization as well. I also like that it is free for iOS, as I never use my computer to plan anything. I’m just not near it enough but I always have my phone on me. I also really like the lists category, as I can just brain dump everything I need to remember and shop for.
While I love TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo and the simplicity of it, there are a few small things I would change.
1. I am not sure how to stop reoccurring tasks (besides cancelling them via the website version of TeuxDeux. Maybe this is a feature but I can’t seem to find it.
There were a few reoccurring tasks I created by accident and I was scared they would just be there permanently and bother me for eternity.
2. This is very small and nit-picky, but the ability to delete something without crossing it off first. Being new to TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo , I struggled trying to delete something for 5 minutes before realizing I needed to cross it off and then delete it.
3. Creating the # headers seem to be a tiny bit glitchy.
Overall TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo is great! But I do think it could be a little more user-friendly for iPhone users who rarely go on their laptops. The reoccurring tasks thing is a big one specifically for me, as I’m prone to accidentally typing stuff. I also think that it is a bit confusing to figure out for a beginner and could use a little more instruction.

This is TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo I’ve been looking for! I can capture all those thoughts when they come to mind, jot down book and movie recommendations and even that spice I just ran out of, all in one well designed, intuitive app. Thank you for this product which has already immensely helped me make my life more organized and under control! And unlike my old paper list , Teux Deux doesn’t get lost or misplaced, forcing me to rewrite and risk missing something important! Clever name as well! Also, thanks to Dawn at the Minimal Mom for recommending!

I used TeuxDeux years ago and slowly transitioned to using reminders in Google Inbox. Now as Inbox is being shuttered and I won’t have that easy reminder button anymore, I remembered how much I loved TeuxDeux and thankfully it’s still here. I just like how tasks float to the next day, and I’ve really missed seeing a week of reminders all together.
The one thing missing in both TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo and the web is the ability to set alerts on tasks on a per-task basis. Sometimes I need a push notification to motivate me! A badge count would be useful too.

I’ve been using TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo both on desktop and iPhone for 5+ years. The website has always been great for managing to-do lists (both daily and long-term), and TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo was pretty good but occasionally buggy. No more - the recent rebuild has delivered a superb and seamless experience whether I’m on the web or the iPhone app. The product remains powerful yet simple and exquisitely user friendly. The design of the interface is as intuitive as putting pen to paper. I happily have an annual subscription on auto-renew - this is a must-have app for me.
by MarissaB23
I just started using this and I love the “someday” tab. It has all the lists for all the things I would need individual ones for. It’s a good scrap pad to make those notes when they come to mind. However my adhd loves to forget what those thoughts are by the time I open TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo and get there. Also being able to see the lists without having to open it (because honestly, I forget to do that and what good is a list for if you don’t use it lol) and I know that For me personally (and I’m sure plenty others) a widget would take TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo from a 5/5 stars to like a 10/5. PLEAAAASSSEEE I’m begging 🙏🏻

I am a service manager for a repair company. I have tried to stay organized because my attention has to be on so many things at once. A friend told me about TeuxDeux, so I thought I would try it. It works perfectly for me because you can actually sit down and plan out your week. Start a list of things you need to get done and then you can assign them to whatever work day you wish. The re-occurring tasks are also very helpful!
by Topkoala
This is the best and only to-do app I will ever use. I just wanted something as simple as a paper planner, but that would always be accessible (on my phone or laptop), and easier/neater to use as the unfinished to-do’s automatically travel to the next day. Every morning I arrange my to-do’s in the order in which I need to accomplish them, and it’s so satisfying to get them all checked off. I also keep several lists on TeuxDeux, including a grocery list and a list of books I want to read. Please never change or discontinue TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo!
by Gogglor
Struggling to remember to do things is a constant struggle with my inattentive-type ADHD. TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo had been tremendously helpful to me. I love that the interface has today and “someday” as the two main buttons you can get to quickly. What that means for me is that every time I think of or notice something I need to do (“Call Uncle Joe” or “Clean out fridge”), instead of it disappearing into the void of “later,” which literally does not exist in my brain, I can very quickly write it somewhere I can revisit. TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo has really helped me get things done that usually wouldn’t be started until they were an emergency. Thank you so much for developing this great app.

I have been faithfully using Teuxdeux for years, and it is by far the easiest organization tool to set up and begin using immediately. I love how simple it is to customize the lists. I can set up recurring tasks, divide my day into any type of sections I need such as morning, afternoon, evening or by priority level or type of task. It is simple enough for even the most digitally-challenged to use, yet customizable enough for the most complicated schedules. I love how it syncs with my phone and laptop. I use it to organize tasks, goals, schedules- everything! I use the someday lists for future goals, info I need to remember, Christmas lists, etc. Thank you, TeuxDeux staff, for this incredible product!

This is TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo I use to organize my Simple and Minimal life. Other than a Morning Pages journal, I don’t have a piece of paper in my house. I don’t use the calendar as Google calendar keeps track of the few appts I schedule. This is where Teux Deux comes in. I use it to remind me of projects and steps to complete them. An empty list is what I’m going for — Goal Zero style. I like how fluid it is with the ability to arrange and rearrange according to my priorities. I have an ideal day mapped out at the very top, to remind how I want my day to unfold. Tasks and Errands seem to be the categories I stick with and projects come and go. I like being able to personalize the border to color in the rainbow. I used Microsoft To-Do/Everlist for the past few years which is more robust in that endless detail can go into each objective with a ‘notes’ feature but Teux Deux without the ability to add details, forces me to keep it simple. I wish I had the ability to hide the calendar because I just don’t use it. This is the cleanest and most minimal digital organizer I’ve found so far.

This is the best app I’ve ever had for my to do list.
I downloaded several apps like this to compare them back to back and decide which is the best and what stuck out about this was that it’s beautifully designed and easy on the eyes, easy to use in a simple and fast way, void of useless features that bog it down.
I think the perfect app like this really varies depending on how you’re using it. It’s definitely not meant to compete with something as complex as a protect management tool like Asana, but if you’re using it for yourself and not work, it’s a solid recommendation.
by Jmccrarey
I like how TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo allows for me to have a side-list of things to do “someday” like what I’ll read, or what I should buy for groceries. It also doesn’t clutter the main list, and it carries over tasks from the day before. It’s also simple. Not too cluttered as the list itself is overwhelmingly cluttered enough for some people. It’s been helpful. Perhaps the only side-request I’d make for an app like this but be a place where you could list or category its importance, but it does allow you to arrange the list in order which is the same thing, so I’m really just being nit-picky about a wonderful app. I’d recommend TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo for anyone who needs lists, while simultaneously disliking them. It’s fairly minimalistic but still intuitive.

This is the only scheduling app that I have ever enjoyed using. (I hate the way most calendar apps are bound to time blocks- I don’t know when I’ll do something or how long it will take) I love that tasks roll over to the next day, you can add tasks to specific dates, and have reoccurring TeuxDeux. The side lists are a life saver. My manager at an old job made me download this back in 2017 and since then my whole life has changed bc I’m so organized. Literally went from a part time receptionist to running my own business. Also I never forget anything at the grocery store or forget to pack my contacts when I go on vacation.

I’ve tried every to-do list app out there. I’ve also tried offline systems from bullet journaling to sticky notes to my own homegrown paper-based system. Every couple years I throw in the towel and come back to TeuxDeux, and I’m always so glad when I do. Everything else requires too much maintenance to actually be usable as a day-to-day to do list. TeuxDeux brings a feeling of calm to my overcommitted life, and lets me keep track of what I have to do, simply. The recent UX and UI improvements are delightful, and have only made it more of what it’s always been: a piece of paper that’s a lot harder to lose, doesn’t make you rewrite things, and comes with just enough structure to keep you on track. I still use Todoist for managing projects like home improvement or planning a vacation, but for keeping track of everything I have to do each day and keeping the overwhelm at bay, there’s nothing like TeuxDeux. I think that actually points to the big idea behind TeuxDeux, and I’m so glad they’ve stuck with it all these years: if your to-do list app has the power to manage projects, your to-do list app is probably too complicated to manage your to-do list. Thanks TeuxDeux for keeping it simple all these years, and especially for all the recent improvements to the iPhone and web apps! They really make a difference. TeuxDeux is a joy to use in 2023.

I’ve tried so many apps & this one isn’t just another productivity app that takes forever to learn & set up. It’s simple & it works! I’ve never found anything close to the method I use to use in my Bullet Journal & it always worked for me & helped me relieve so much stress & anxiety because I was able to write anything & everything that came to mind every day in my daily log. TeuxDeux gives me the same feeling especially because I’m able to make my own lists & customize the colors I see everyday & there’s a bunch of other preferences you can change in its simplicity. Just try the free trial! I promise you won’t regret it!

Most todo applications are either too complicated and you have to go through multiple steps to move things around or they are too simple. Additionally I needed something that I could access from my desktop as well. TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo flawlessly syncs between the desktop and iPhone app. It has just the right balance of features that allow you to plot out your week, move things around, create projects. Maybe it's a personality thing but TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo literally changed my life and boosted my productivity where other apps have failed. If I have something scheduled for Monday and want to move it to Friday I love the drag and drop functionality. Try it out!!!

Love pretty much everything about TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo ! If you’re looking for a clean to-do list that is better than just a list in your phone notes and will help keep you organized this is it! I especially love that you can put to-dos on future dates and move them around. Really helps me not forget to do the small things I said I would do. There are a lot of other really helpful features too. Absolutely worth checking it out. Thanks, TeuDeux!

I’ve used TeuxDeux for over a year and I’d never use anything else. It keeps my lists in one place plus my to-do lists are easily organized and seen. I love crossing out an item and seeing a little celebration. Don’t often cross out everything in a day but when I do, there’s a big celebration. Makes me smile. I like the recurring items. Allows me to not think about some things as they pop up when necessary. Highly recommend.
by Jsc1987
I’ve used TeuxDeux for probably 10 years now. I used to keep to-do lists on post-it’s or notebook pages and I’d always find myself running out of room and needing to create a new list when I’d only crossed out a third of it. With TeuxDeux, everything automatically ports over to the next day and you can schedule recurring needs or future needs which makes it way more capable and helpful. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without it!

I’ve been using TeuxDeux every single day for a little over 8 years now and I can’t praise it or recommend it enough. I’m not sure why I haven’t written a review sooner to be honest. I use it to keep track of my employees schedules as well as mine so I can make sure everything is running smoothly. I’ve gotten many coworkers throughout the years to use this to organize their day-to-day schedules also. It just makes life so much easier.

I have been struggling to find a to do/calendar app to support my needs before I found TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo. I am a college student who isn’t the
most organized and TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo has helped me get back into a great habit of planning and doing. Unlike planning on other to do apps or tangible ways, I actually feel accomplished marking off my achievements with TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo. It may be as simple as seeing a small, happy cat on my screen but it really helps.

I just started using TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo yesterday when Dawn from the Minimal Mom mentioned it.
I love its simplicity! But what I love even more is their absolutely fantastic Customer Service!!
I had a few questions regarding the set up and was so very impressed by their super speedy turnaround time and thorough responses. This kind of CS is nothing that I take for granted these days. So thank you guys not only for creating a super helpful app but also for the attention you give to your customers!
by Ksipes1130
This has been my go to to do app for years. The simplicity of what doesn’t get done showing up on the next day’s list is perfect for my needs. The capability of reflecting back on what did get done is helpful. Setting simple recurring to do’s is ideal. It only lacks the ability to set a notification for a to do, but I think that’s the point. Keep it simple. Look at your list daily. Get it done.
by Bad_gurl-jay
I have been using TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo for a couple of months now and I am liking the Redesign better than the old one but I do wish that timeline feature was still available because I loved to see my week without having to click on all the upcoming days or going onto my computer to see my plans for the week. You guys are doing a great job. 😊
by Andrew-Dee
TeuxDeuxDailyChecklistToDo does everything I want it to: daily view, easy navigation, great support from devs, ability to do other lists concurrent with daily tasks, and most importantly web support. Desktop view is super important and well done. Add to it recurring tasks, move to other days, and ability to view completed tasks and look no further for Productivity Managers.
by Jjmix50310
Other list apps ask you for way too much info at every interaction. TD let’s you just brain dump and get things down. The ability to add a date to an item—but only when you want to—is a lovely thing to have not appear in the primary UI. Way to go team! This is my dream list app with whisper quiet calendar functionality only when I need it. xoxo

I absolutely love using TeuxDeux to organize my life and work. I’ve been using it daily for the better part of a decade now, and it’s incredibly reliable and worth every cent. Protip: I have both the iPhone app and web version, where I’ve book marked it in my toolbar. This makes using TeuxDeux totally seamless in my personal life and work. 10/10 would recommend.
