Sudoku Magic Lite Puzzle Game Reviews

App just keeps shutting me out.

This is a very pretty app but alas, key features are missing.
1) No UNDO button! This alone is a killer - it's impossible not to make at least one button-pushing error, which can easily wipe out a cell's worth of hard-won pencil notes
2) Awkward mode buttons: Instead of a 1-button toggle, SudokuMagicLitePuzzleGame has three *tiny* buttons that alternately select add-note / solve-cell / erase-all-notes mode. There's no need for 3 modes, it just wastes badly-needed screen real estate.
3) Can't disable row/column highlighting, which I find very distracting. The dark highlight color doesn't help either, the result is visual confusion.
4) It's slow to load (on my antique 1st gen iPhone, that is)

Check out Enjoy Sudoku instead: not nearly as pretty, but with a *perfect* UI and feature set.

Puzzle after puzzle, SudokuMagicLitePuzzleGame can't read them. A FANTASTIC idea, executed very, VERY poorly. These developers may make good apps, but I wouldn't know because their crippled lite versions are consistently disappointing. I would have considered the pay version for undo and extreme puzzles, but not when the lite app to test with is such a letdown. At least they updated this one for 5/5c/5s screens (unlike many of their other apps.)

Great to have a tool for helping with printed puzzles but the camera capture is hit or miss and the instructions that say to zoom out are usually exactly wrong.

Most of the time this is a great game but some times the ad pop up seems to do what it wants to do. I even sat it on the table and only touching the numbers the ads just popped up like crazy.

The hint and solve buttons are practically on top of the 1-5 buttons. So if you accidently bump one while solving the game calls you a cheater! Perhaps a confirmation that you really want a hint would solve this. In the mean time I'm playing something else

I have been hooked on sudoku for a few years and find SudokuMagicLitePuzzleGame to be great. You can pick different levels and can pencil in possible numbers - a good feature.

Need to track progress, how many solved, average how hard, hardest solved, best personal times and average times for others soling same levels. Would make it more interactive and interesting.

Happy there's a pop-up box to confirm "solve" or "hint," which are a bit too close to numbers bar & which I keep hitting by mistake.

However, if your finger hits the wrong number as you enter data you are called a "cheater" when the game is completed. Other than that, found it very nice application.

I love sudoku games. This is a pretty good one. Hard level puzzles offer a good challenge. I do wish they offered different varieties like killer sudoku or word sudoku. Also, it would be great if a number faded out once used in all sectors.

Why do I have to open it twice before it works?

My school has a sudoku section printed every edition but I hate carrying around the paper while trying to solve it. With SudokuMagicLitePuzzleGame I just take a picture and boom, solve it right on my phone. Great idea that actually works!

Good interface. However, the buttons that are often used in the lower portion of the screen cause the user to access the ads accidentally, which can be annoying.

The game has good user options. This makes it very friendly. It's "hard" level games are diffcult enough for people like challenges. Where phone calls come in SudokuMagicLitePuzzleGame will self pause and allow user to take the call.

The game is fun. The graphics and colors are easy to view. I like the auto-pause feature for incoming calls.

I love how you can make your own sudoku quizzes and it lets you do them!! How many sudoku apps let you do that!!! It's one of my favorite apps I have. I also love how when you touch a tiny square, it highlights the big sqare and the vertical and horizontal line so you can look for the number you want to enter and see if it could work.

Sudoku Magic is really fun & rewarding. Helps keep my mind sharp.

This is a great Sudoku app. I've tried a couple others, but this is the one I like best. The graphics are good, the controls are responsive and the camera capture is a neat touch. Probably going to give the paid version a try, I think.
