I have used PeriodTrackingCalendar for almost 5 years and all of a sudden it stopped letting me add my periods. I'll click to add the period to my list of periods, and it will look like it saved but it won't actually show up. I have tried to reach out to PeriodTrackingCalendar support but have received no help. Therefore, writing this review was my last option. I really don't want to have to delete PeriodTrackingCalendar, but if it's not tracking my period, which is the whole reason I downloaded it, then I'll be deleting it and finding a new one. If the support team sees this, I would appreciate it if you'd please help.

I was pretty unimpressed with PeriodTrackingCalendar when I first opened it. I hadn’t decided whether or not I was going to delete it UNTIL a horrible, demonic sounding robotic female voice started reading some weird “empowering” platitude to me. I cannot begin to describe how unsettling this robot voice was. WHY WOULD YOO CHOOSE THAT VOICE? And why does it automatically start reading to you???? It’s so awful.
I immediately closed PeriodTrackingCalendar , deleted it and searched for literally any other period tracking app.
If you don’t want a robot demon screeching “Live, Laugh, Love” at you, don’t get PeriodTrackingCalendar. It’s also just kinda crappy looking in general. There are period apps out there with much more attractive UIs.

I hate the new home view. Bunch of junk I don’t want to see. When I open PeriodTrackingCalendar I just want to see the view with the circle that shows me how soon my period comes and NOTHING else. Please bring the old one back as the first thing I see when I open PeriodTrackingCalendar. Who designed this? A man?! Now the view that shows the circle of my cycle, has a giant useless “cycle day” number making it much harder to read the one thing that I actually want to see, which is when will my period come??? Cycles aren’t always regular that number is irrelevant to me.
Before It was delightful to come in and see the bunny around my cycle view. I could tap it and sparkles would explode. It showed the data I needed. It was clear when my period would come. The new one is so hard to read.
Very very sad it’s gone. Bring it back please, please, please :-(
If it Ain’t broken don’t fix it. This is NOT an improvement.

Downgraded to 2 stars, July 2021
I don’t write a lot of reviews. I used to love PeriodTrackingCalendar. Really love it. Recently it’s been entirely revamped and I can’t just see or keep track of my cycle like I used to. Now there is a bunch of crap on the home page when PeriodTrackingCalendar opens that I don’t need or want to see and I have to scroll through just to find out what day my period is supposed to start (unless I want to do math, which I could do without an app). I’m currently on the market for a new app after using this one for so long. I’m really disappointed.
2018:
This is one of the best apps I have ever owned. I have used it for years and it just gets better and better. It tracks everything I need, sends me only the notifications I need, and I love that I can easily go back and compare symptoms and dates from month to month or even year to year. I recommend PeriodTrackingCalendar to every woman I know. It is, hands down, the best menstruation tracker app out there. Look no further.

PeriodTrackingCalendar is great and you can also log other things with your weight, spotting etc. the only downfall they should look into fixing is... I just had a baby. He is a month old and I haven’t had my first period after having him yet. Well when I opened PeriodTrackingCalendar , it asked the first date of my last period... that was a LONG time ago and I deleted it from my phone calendar so I have no clue.. I put in the closest date I thought it might have been, well PeriodTrackingCalendar should have a first period setting or first period after pregnancy setting, but no. It said I was almost a year late for my period bc of that date I put in and EVERYTHING was off. So I put in the date he was born as my last one just so it would have the right dates and such on there. It’s seriously something the company should look into. Bc as a period app. That’s one of the reasons we women track it! And if the data is off that could cause problems.

When I first got PeriodTrackingCalendar (maybe a little over a year ago) it was awesome! It did what I needed it to do; logged and predicted my periods and let me know when I was ovulating. It even has a cute bunny to tell you inspirational things everyday!!! Oh, and there is a freaking period game where you catch pads and tamps in a basket... PeriodTrackingCalendar was legit great! Until....
Just recently, it has been flooded with adds. Which is just a tad annoying. Now I don't mind a simple add banner at the bottom of my screen, but the pop up adds are just bothersome. Whenever I click around on PeriodTrackingCalendar !BAM! an add pops up. I just wanna log my period without being bombarded with adds. Also, the free way to get rid of the adds is to text 10 friends and invite them to use PeriodTrackingCalendar .... sorry, but it's a tad weird for me and it's just a really random text to send. I'd rather tell my friends about things like this by word of mouth. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ that's me though

I’ve used PeriodTrackingCalendar to track my periods, sexual activity, and pms symptoms for 9 years. (Yes, really - first data is from Oct 2009!) Overall, it’s a great little app. I’ve learned to ignore the ads for the most part because PeriodTrackingCalendar is useful for data continuity. I’ve had to learn how to pause period tracking data after 2 pregnancies and reset the review timeframe so my dates would be accurate again. I’ve enjoyed some of the updates over the years like the Touch ID unlock but for the most part I still just use it for the basic tracking and predictive skills.
But now orgasms are locked(!), and if I try to track my ONE custom item, when I look at my entry from the calendar page, there’s all these locked icons I can’t get rid of - a sad face, a bomb, etc. - along with the icons for data I did input. What the heck?

I have been a user for I don’t even remember how many years. Have always loved PeriodTrackingCalendar and have recommended it countless times to friends and family members. However, there have been many changes lately that are unnecessary. Now, you get to see when you’re next period starts, the day count until your fertile days, etc. from the Home page. Before, that same info was highlighted on the calendar for previous, current and future months. Not anymore. The calendar will only show the day you marked as your period start date from the previous month. It doesn’t show when you’re period will start on the current month, or even the days leading up to it. It won’t show your fertile days either. Very disappointed. I hate having to find another app because I’ve had this one for YEARS and it’s always gone beyond my expectations until now.

I’ve used PeriodTrackingCalendar for years and never had any issues, until today. I logged on and all of my data is gone. When I click on a past date to see my entries, the only thing that populates is a screen that says “custom items”. I’m very frustrated that the info is not there anymore.
Update: I received a response from a developer and was given the directions to edit the settings. Obviously the settings were turned off by default with the latest update. More > Journal > Show/Hide.

All I want to do is track my period/symptoms and guesstimate when my next ovulation/period symptoms will be (irregular cycles).
I really like the custom field and used it to track the number of clots.
I really do NOT like the cycle day functionality. If I enter a period flow, PeriodTrackingCalendar asks if I’m starting a new period cycle. Yes, automatically overwrites my entry for the day and pre-populates the next few days data. The default data is not derived from my history. No, automatically deletes my entry for the day. I.e. I am forced to always say yes and then remember to write over the default data. There is not another way to adjust the cycle day that I can find either. Example: cycle day 15 I have bleeding heavier than just spotting. The only way to enter it as period flow is to “start a new cycle”, which throws off all other predictive dates.
I also don’t like all the clutter of the locked data categories, but understand it’s your way of trying to make money.

Newest update takes away the how many days left till period and just shows where you are in your cycle. Now we have to do the math. Please bring back the OPENING Screen that has how many days left till next period!
UPDATE: Corrected the mobile spelling error. Thanks for pointing out where we can see the days till next period. Upped the rating but still preferred the old opening screen format to see the visual with the days left versus just the words and having to press another button.

I’ve been using PeriodTrackingCalendar for about 8 years. I’ve tried others but always keep coming back to this one. I love that they’ve started adding additional details to track during your cycle. The only thing I dislike is that when adding the first day of a period it automatically changes your period flow to “normal”. I’ve obviously chosen my period flow to fit my needs and it is very annoying that I have to go back in and change it to what I originally set. Other than that PeriodTrackingCalendar is great.

I like the ease of keeping track of my menstrual cycle and the notification of when my next period is expected. This has really helped when going to the doctor and they ask the, “When was your last period?” question. My only complaint is I wish I could see everything from the calendar and I’m not sure what the colors really mean.

I love that PeriodTrackingCalendar has the ability to track everything from periods and symptoms, ovulation, sexual encounters, and customizable symptoms as well! It makes tracking everything easy. I also like that you can see what the likely future cycles look like for those of us who like to plan ahead. Love PeriodTrackingCalendar!

I’ve been using PeriodTrackingCalendar for years. The last several times I’ve changed my phone I’ve tried to recover my records for the last several years to restore back into my new iPhone. First you have to email yourself the records. Then second you can’t restore them back into PeriodTrackingCalendar when you get a new iPhone.

To be honest with you PeriodTrackingCalendar is great! I was going on vacation and went to my bathroom and found blood and I was like.. My period just came two weeks ago!!! I told my mom about this and she said “Download a period tracker so you know when it’s coming “ So I download PeriodTrackingCalendar and it Fantastic! I am 11 years old btw... But anyway, This is super handy thanks for your hard work! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ve been having PeriodTrackingCalendar for years and haven’t reviewed it. It has grown and added many features. I still use the free version bc it offers what i mainly use it for as free which is, logging period, cramps, breakouts, and few others. It also it has a fun period game. Awesome quotes, blogs. PeriodTrackingCalendar has a lot to offer and the developers are on top of it.
I mean you can get lost in PeriodTrackingCalendar for hours with all their enticing information and offerings

I have been using PeriodTrackingCalendar for about 3 years and it has been amazing! After using it for a few months the accuracy is on point! I used PeriodTrackingCalendar to determine ovulation for each of my pregnancies and it was accurate for each! Be sure to use it for a few months before fully relying on it. The more periods you log the more accurate it is at determining when your next period will start and ovulation days.

Been using PeriodTrackingCalendar for years. It was great until an update took away a lot of the features and wanted to charge you for what you once had for free. The most recent update permanently puts stress and migraines at a 5 without the ability to change it because that’s a feature you have to pay for. So now all of my data says I have a migraine and I’m stressed even though that’s not the case. Currently looking for a new app because of this.

I need to know when my periods are coming because the first two days of my periods are extremely heavy. They so bad that I can’t go anywhere those days which makes me have to plan my life around it.
Before I plan a vacation or activity, I check PeriodTrackingCalendar and make plans accordingly around my period. It’s always been right on. Thank goodness for PeriodTrackingCalendar!!

Been tracking data through PeriodTrackingCalendar for YEARS. All of a sudden averages are off, data is wrong (as in I KNOW dates are off). Has something to do with developer trying to input automatic entries. Why? I have NO idea! (Predictions are one thing. Auto-entries are another.)
Two stars because the developer has taken the time to respond to my issues when I inquired, but I still can’t figure out WHY the updates over the last 4 or so months. Can we just go back to simple tracking? And alllll that data lost . . . [sigh].

PeriodTrackingCalendar worked alright when I used the free version. Since upgrading I don’t get any notifications in spite of having all of them on. Also thought I’d be charged once, but have been charged twice so looks like a monthly thing. That is not spelled out. Giving it a few more weeks to see if there is an update that fixes it.
Response to developer: like I said, my notifications are all on. I know how to manage my notifications. I’ve been charged twice now. Once in January at the time of upgrade and then once in February.

I’m slow to update changes so when I found an app that I loved for period tracking on my iPad I refused to use a phone app that didn’t come close to my Pink Pad’s features. While it seems that to fully benefit from PeriodTrackingCalendar you need premium, what the standard has does compare to Pink Pad more than any other phone app I’ve seen.

I’ve used PeriodTrackingCalendar for a few years now and it has been awesome. I haven’t had any problems with crashing or losing data. I still have my information I put in 2 years ago. App give great option and is very accurate if you use the prediction features. I would recommend PeriodTrackingCalendar to any woman.

I have tried soooooo many tracker apps. This is the most accurate and user friendly. I’ve been using PeriodTrackingCalendar for years and rely on it to keep me on track. I love the pop ups, they have truly have saved me as some points when I’m losing my mind. Then a pop up and I am reminded to just remain calm. 😹
