Purge: Porn Blocker & Safe DNS Reviews

Purge seems to do exactly what I would hope for. It does a fantastic job blocking unwanted content across all apps. The only issue is that after a few hours it will block all access to the internet until you pay for the pro version. Purge itself offers a free upgrade if you leave a review - I'll find out soon if this is true. Note that Purge can be deleted unless you set the restriction settings on the phone to prevent the user from deleting apps.

**UPDATE** My app was upgraded to pro after writing this review. I assume this is a limited time offer, but it's very much appreciated. Filter works like a charm!

Love the user face friendly design. Tutorial is a nice touch as well. I like the sincerity put into this application. I can tell your team is Not seeking profits but to genuinely help humanity. Almost all the features are for free especially the most important one… porn blocking! This actually enticed me to check the premium package and its so affordable. I appreciate your team for your work and sincerity. It was hard to find an affordable porn blocker with at least the bare minimum to block porn before asking for any monies! You guys fulfilled this grand service offering lifetime premium memberships for such an affordable price anyone can pay for towards change & you guys did all without stripping away the necessary value needed for people seeking real self help. App works wonderfully!! It blocks all unwanted content with no internet slow down. The only downside is that you need to upgrade otherwise after so many hours your internet browser becomes completely blocked. However, it may be with it if you are looking for change in your life. Extremely helpful and may be the best app out there to block unwanted content without feeling the annoying restrictions that Apple provides for your device. I would 100% recommend it!

This is hands down the best porn blocker on iOS. It has changed my life! It not only blocks porn on safari, but on everything on your entire device. It does this without effecting your applications in a negative way. Other applications may make some apps not work properly or make them function worse because of the active blocking, not Purge. It's super smooth! The best part Is it's only 1.99$ , which is amazing. Way cheaper than other apps. This is Purge I've been looking for.

I am really happy for finding Purge. Porn addiction has been something that has been making me depressed and just negative overall for years. With so many relapses I decided to actually block the websites this time and not only use will power alone. Only thing was that most blockers were not usable without a fee which I could not pay so I am very grateful to the developers who allowed a free access to this app and I hope I will change to be a better person in the future!

When I first saw this on Purge Store I thought it was a godsend. But after installing it and having my wife implement a password. But I quickly found out this apps fatal flaw. within 24 hours of first installing Purge it will lock up and leave you almost 0 Internet activity you can't you can't access anything on the Internet not social media and not email absolutely nothing. unless you spend a dollar to upgrade to the pro version so they're giving you this amazing concept and then they are forcing you to either get rid of it or to pay for the upgrade. Add insult injury the description tells us that it needs a password to delete Purge . I deleted it without a problem or a password. Fix it!

Purge seems to work very well ...but only in the beginning. I’m not sure if it’s my fault or the phone setting or what but Purge seems to stop the phone from connecting to the internet completely. I wasn’t able to get Lowe’s or Home Depot app to even open. I’m hoping to try the pro version and maybe that will be the fix.

It works as advertised. Searchers only return vanilla results with nothing explicit. Any attempt to go further is blocked and shut down. Doesn’t seem to matter which browser. I have tried a chrome Browser on the iPhone and it is shut down there as well. Best of all, this comes across as a family friendly technology on your credit card so it makes it easier for my sanity.

I’ve been suffering from porn addiction for quite some time. I looked everywhere for a free porn blocker, but no such luck.
Until I found this app. this app blocks just about everything inappropriate you could possibly search up. There is a pro version, but I’m 100% content with this one. Life changing. Thank you for caring.

It’s like having safe search always on with lock on TYSM!!! Pls always work to make this better and more powerful <3 Love the work you guys are doing! And pls make a notification something like “are you sure you want to turn this app off? Think of the consequences.” and then it would be ever better

This is the only app to block image search on other browsers such as Mozilla and duck duck go which would have made it the best purity app ever. BUT the firewall shuts off by itself pretty much every day. So you need to keep going back to your hidden password to sign on and turn it back on. Now it won’t even let me turn it on. The button is just completely unresponsive. I wrote to customer support but they never wrote me back. Such a terrible waste of hope.

Purge is very very great! When I connected it and I went on google to see if it works and it did! I typed in "p.ornhub" and that came was stuff about preventing p.orn addiction!
10/10 would keep for life! This will keep people who need help and children away from that nasty stuff.

Purge is awesome. I found it in a vietnamese blog and be impressed by its productivity. I think the developers should add some more features and do some more advertising campaigns so it would be more widely known by ios user.
I am looking for an similar app on my PC, someone can tell me whether there is any high-productivity app like this on window 10. thanksss

App works great and is by far one of the best of its kind. BUT. Purge uses a vpn and as long as you have another vpn configuration or even a junk one you can switch to it so your phone no longer uses “this app”. Additionally Purge can be turned off in settings by turning off “connect on demand” and then turning off your devices vpn capability.

So far Purge does exactly what I need it to without all of the extras. No ads or annoying pop ups to deal with either. Very simple, straightforward and easy to navigate. Interface is user friendly and the passcode is a huge help. Look forward to seeing how much more it can do!

I have been trying to find quality porn blockers, like BrainBuddy and CovenantEyes but every one of those are expensive. This gets the job done- is simple AND it goes across all browsers, and even works in private browsing. I will gladly update to the pro version.

You might have just saved my relationship with Christ as well as many others. So many apps make people pay awful amounts of money for something that should be free. God bless!

Had the pro version and it worked fine. However today it is acting like I don’t have pro and keeps asking me to upgrade and I couldn’t open any apps because of this. I had to delete Purge to even access Purge Store to get here. Was working fine and was happy but now something has happened and I am not satisfied.

... but after a few days it just bounces the network connection back and forth between WiFi and LTE, I think with some sort of issue with the VPN staying up. Tried more than one different DNS site. Makes your phone unusable when it gets to this point. End up having to reinstall to get back working for another few days.

Its a great app but sometimes after a while it starts disconnecting and connecting automatically till i have to reinstall again than after a while it starts doing same thing again

This is an amazing app, but DO NOT BUY, not until you can lock the VPN with a passcode. All you have do is click reset on the network settings on your iPhone and the VPN is disconnected. If the developer fixes this it would be worth an easy $30-40 for purchase. Not kidding, Purge works great it they fix this one thing otherwise it is really a useless app giving you a false sense of security. :(

I have a problem, a real problem looking at “things” on the internet. I used Purge to block it and haven’t did something that I do looking at these “things.” Feels amazing. God bless Purge Fr.

Purge does exactly what it says it will do with out paying unlike other apps. Would recommend to people dealing with a porn addiction.
