First of all it did not read old coins well 1930, 1944. Then I ask for notification prior to renewal and I did not get any notification
Next , I could not find anywhere to tell me when the trial ended It showed it when I signed up but no where now
Last they make it difficult to communicate to ask when the trial is over and it looks like the charged me and do not make communication easy. I am now going to complain and dispute through my credit card and Apple. Bad business practices

App doesn't do what it says and barely makes a good match. Contacted customer support and they never responded back about poor image quality within CoinIn and also not doing what CoinIn claims it does.

Horrible app. Says you can identify any coin just taking a picture, but none of the coins I took a picture of were “identifiable”. Said I could look it up by entering the name of the coin. If I knew the name of the coin, why would I need to take a picture to look it up? Save your money.

Update: Received an apology from the developer, but my issue wasn’t just over the weekend. I don’t think CoinIn is reliable. Save your money. Not worth the investment.

I cancelled my free subscriptions when i downloaded CoinIn from AppStore but even after cancelling my membership. I got charged 4 times for weekly subscriptions. As soon as I saw that I immediately tried to contact them but didn’t got my refund. This is the worst thing I ever saw. Also, the subscriptions were unused as I wasn’t aware of the charges that were getting charged automatically from my account.

Before you download, this know that they take every single thing out of your phone every bit of your personal data and information for their own use. It is ridiculous for a coin app to hold your entire life in their hands. Do not recommend and I have serious questions as to why this company needs, not only my information but everybody else’s information that is linked to me absolutely not worth it. Downloader beware.

Listen I was excited to use CoinIn but let’s be honest it stinks at scanning coins. Crazy clear photos well lit and still it doesn’t get the year right it’s always kinda close but this is money I need the actual year included in its swath. And if gets that wrong then how can I be sure it’s checking all the other details correctly. On top of that it’s constantly barraging me with pop ups to subscribe. Which is nuts considering it doesn’t work. Do not waste your money or time unreliable app it’s a money grab.

After the trial ends, it will automatically start billing you. I never even used CoinIn. Not one time I requested to refund the refund status to complete that customer was refunded. yet I never received a refund back to my bank. I called Apple support. They said sometimes it can take up to 30 days for to get back into my bank account. I’m familiar with the process of refunding a customer being on the seller side.. It’s not a good look. It didn’t take 30 days for you to receive the payment. It shouldn’t take 30 days for me to receive it back.

I got the free trial for CoinIn and I tested it with some coins I been saving to check the accuracy of the scanner well I it couldn’t identify a basic us ¢25 coin or a us ¢penny both times it gave me a exotic coin I’ve never heard of that was worth thousands and every time I kept scanning I got a rare coin this is a waste of space on my phone I’m using a iPhone 14

Absolute waste of time and my, it doesn’t identify anything it’s a worthless app with no point or value literally takes your subscription money for no apparent reason! it offers no solution for any dealing with coins! I guess we can all develop apps and do absolutely nothing, promising the exact opposite! What a flaw and pathetic concept💯

Literally downloaded to try and see what it can do. Can’t even scan a quarter and give me the right quarter. Scanned a 2002 Tennessee quarter and CoinIn found it as a 1999 Delaware quarter. Not even close on what the reverse is. Do not use if you wanna make money. Learn the real way to see what you have. The red book is a great help.

Almost every random penny was worth .01-$10k… it really can’t tell you anything. It almost never even got the right year, or it gave me a range of years. And $9.99 a WEEK?! Basically CoinIn exists so you will try it and hopefully forget the trial ands and they’ll get $10 out of you.

This can't tell the difference between a 1937 buffalo and a 2001 buffalo, only gives prices based on what it's sold and its own marketplace. Has not a single notion of grading or distinction of value as a result of grade amateur collector knows more than CoinIn provides.

I did a trial base for three free days and I bought one month I canceled and you guys will not let me cancel and you keep taking my money now we need to solve this one way or the other. You see my emails plenty of times.

Tried a few US quarters and a 1967 US half dollar. It got quarters completely wrong and messed up the date of the latter. The text search is busted too, couldn’t manually search. Useless.

I have tried coin after coin with different lighting and zero results with the identifier camera. I have gone through all the helpful tips CoinIn provides and still nothing. Just wasted $50🥴

Completely worthless app beyond horrible. claims to be able to identify any coin I’ve yet to find a coin it does identify doesn’t even identify a silver dollar 50 Cent pieces, wheat pennies anything save your time and money.

This is the worst app I have ever had. They will not allow me to remove CoinIn , they keep trying to take my money and I didn’t even want CoinIn . My kids did a trail run and I removed it after the second day and a week later I got a message saying they took 9.99 from my account. This is the worst app ever. And I can’t remove it no matter what I do

I have a steel penny that was mistakenly covered in copper and I don’t wanna put all the information down because I have a few of them but it told me every single one of them was only worth like $.80 when they are worth well over 5 to 10 grand and it doesn’t pick up that it is a steel penny but it is because I’ve already had it looked at

I got CoinIn because I saw it in an add while sitting with my dad. We scanned two of our coins and then it started asking to start a trial. The prices probably aren’t even real too. I read the other reviews and everyone else says the same thing. It’s a stupid app, nobody is going to waste their money. Just let CoinIn be free, you’ll get more people using it!

I have some coins dated back to 1942 and older and CoinIn doesn’t help value them whatsoever! It doesn’t even bring up the correct coin you scan on top of the correct year it doesn’t give neither. You can’t get better service than going to see an actual person. Don’t always put your beliefs that technology and an app can value something tangible.

‘Wasn’t told that I was going to be charged $9.99 per week, and I did NOT authorize the charges.
Apple, for some unexplained reason, will not refund the six charges. I contacted Coin In by email and they still have not responded. I had to have the case escalated by Apple with a case I’d number and they haven’t responded either.
I am a widowed senior raising a disabled child on a very tight budget. I would never authorize these kind of charges for an app. I used one time.
I feel like I was scammed!

I keep receiving notifications of interest for my coins. However, there is no way of finding the interested party. I’m beginning to think CoinIn is not real.

As was misleading. Downloaded app and tried about 5 times to identify 5 different US coins. Didn’t work for any of them. Light was good, pics were clear and centered. Deleting app.

I downloaded and got the free trial and started scanning quarters. They said some were worth a lot of money. So I downloaded another app called coinsnap. It said they were worth a lot less. I don’t trust this app.

when i was i think 12 my grandparents passed down to me an extemely valuable coins collection with a bunch of rare coins and a very old dollar bill that was like pretty big and in bad condition but still extemely rare, now im 13 and i got CoinIn to scan my coins and saw that u need to pay a monthly premium subscription thingamajig which dissappointed me. overall CoinIn is wonderful i just wish that it was free thanks for reading bye

I was need to download CoinIn to use it for free trail they require bank card to use for free trail however the reason they require bank card they say is because in case you need to renew so u don’t have to enter your card that really bad very bad reason they should give people the option to not put the card at free trail and that if they are trust worthy but who wanted to stole you that what they well do is ask for ur bank card even if they offer u free try. Second reason I write review is that I read all negative reviews on CoinIn so even if I was think to add my bank card and download then now I don’t anymore cuz I find I was right about what I think about them in regard free trail.

Also if anyone see that they have 4.7 star out of 5 star. If all their reviews is negative so that mean they are paying for to get star

Warning beware of this company and app use. They are disingenuous frauds whose business practices are unprofessional and unfair. They charged my card for a free trial they advertised and when I tried reaching out to Apple and to the merchant they were unwilling to refund my money even when I told Apple I didn’t authorize any subscription fee/charges. I’ll be making further claims of fraud with my bank since they refused to settle or refund payment. #WORSE COMPANY #WORSE APP TO USE!! SMGDH🤦‍♂️😤😡

Tested it out with a quarter and first told me it was a half dollar from some random year, tried it again and it said a quarter from the 1922. When it was simply a 2022 Quarter. 🤔

Tried it with a 2019 West Point mint quarter. It didn’t recognize the year or mint mark and I tried taking multiple photos.

Useless with an iPhone 12, can not read the year or even with the image pull up the right coins devaluing them to older years. Also if I try to type in mercury dime or liberty dime 1945, it doesn’t even have that in the directory.

Many of the coins I took pictures of brought up the completely wrong coin. No matter how many times I made sure to get a clear image it would consistently give me terrible results. The price ranges are also way off of a standard PCGS range for example

I have some basic American coins. Silver dollars, half dollars etc. it failed 5 out of 6 times. It got an 1898 O Morgan, but I think that was due to its excellent condition. Most of them were identified as International coins. At $9.99 a week, it’s much too expensive. Hopefully, when they upgrade and tweak CoinIn, I’d be happy to try again.

I accidentally left 2 stars, should have been 1 star. Look, I know the coin is worth between one cent and 80 million dollars. What I want to know is exactly how much it’s worth and where do I take it to cash in.
Bottom line: I just wasted ten minutes of my life that I will never get back.

I subscribed and I try to list my coins and it says I’m not subscribed ..hit restore it says purchases restored but still does the same thing ..what a nightmare

CoinIn caught my attention since I enjoy collecting coins as my hobby and CoinIn seems pretty amazing!
But I also like to Read Reviews of apps before Subscribing and based on what I read for CoinIn I’m glad I didn’t subscribed.
Unfortunately I can’t give you a 1 or 5 star rating because I didn’t even try CoinIn so to be fair a 3 rating to be allowed to post this review. Good luck with your App.
