I accidentally deleted the sleep app on my Apple Watch. I tried to replace it with SleepCycleBedtimeCalculator, but I can’t seem to figure out how to set it up correctly or get the information I want from it. It has the same icon as my previous app, but it’s not user friendly.
It requires me to write a review and I haven’t used it yet
SleepCycleBedtimeCalculator is not user friendly.
All SleepCycleBedtimeCalculator does is tell you how many hours of sleep you’ll get at 6 possible times based on what time you tell it you want to go to bed, or the exact reverse, what time you need to go to bed if you want to wake up at a particular time and want to get X hours of sleep. IOW, all it does is 1st grade arithmetic, which you can obviously easily count yourself, whether forwards or backwards, by just adding or subtracting X hours from your desired bedtime or wake up time. It actually skips two hour twice in each section, so if you want a time in between those pairs, you’ll have to manually calculate it anyways. In fairness, that’s really all it says it will do, and the changes are instant, as you turn the dial. The problem is SleepCycleBedtimeCalculator came up when I searched on “sleep tracker” - and it just doesn’t actually track anything at all, so it seems that the developer has miscategorized it. But s/he *did* say it’s a sleep tracker, so the fact that it definitely isn’t what I’m basing my stars on. *And* the thing about the skipped hours.
This may be user error, but the info isn’t set to a graph. I’m a visual person and enjoy a good graph. Also, it’s just data. No other helpful information as to how my sleep is affecting me…as in general research about my specific sleep patterns. It did say that “a (generalized) sleep cycle is typically about 90min” and that more cycles are good. I didnt see it show me how many “sleep cycles” I achieved. Again, may be user error? Not a very helpful app.
Compared to other apps that are free to use this one lives up to the name of being advertisement free. Such a breath of fresh air to have an app not distract me before bed with ads and to provide accurate data that I can adjust to my individual behaviors!
I’m lazy and hate to do math but I still want to know how many hours I sleep if I go to bed at a certain time and need to be up by a certain time. Now that I start the gym at 4:00 am in able to know what time to go to sleep to get my needed hours of rest. Great app.
Great functionality, no ads that compromise your ability to use it, and i love the different options for calculating times and the fact that it lists all possible times. A beautifully made app, 10/10.
I have only had SleepCycleBedtimeCalculator for a few days and still trying to interpret the graphs and information. I could use some tips if available.
It’s a handy way to keep up with what time to go to sleep
It is very interesting to see my sleep patterns and it nudges me to go to bed on time and get better rest.
I like the straight forwardness of SleepCycleBedtimeCalculator!
Perfect sleep time calculator app. Does exactly what it says it’ll do.
