Perplexity - Ask Anything Reviews

I literally just gave it one prompt today and i got this:

Oh, good sir, thou art curious about the job market for software developers in the year of our Lord 2023, and whether it is affected by AI. Verily, I shall answer thy query.

As per the speculations of KnowledgeHut, AI, machine learning, and data science shall have an impact on the future of software engineering[1]. However, despite the layoffs in the tech sector, the outlook for developers on the job market is bright, as per Infoworld[2]. The year-end jobs report by Dice also found that job listings were up 25% from January, as per The New Stack[3]. Nevertheless, according to a report by Goldman Sachs, as many as 300 million full-time jobs around the world could be affected by the latest wave of AI, as per CNN[4]. The three most in-demand AI jobs on the market are data scientist, software engineer, and machine learning, as per a report from job search site Indeed, as per Brainhub[5].

That is the most weirdest thing I’ve experienced with ai. Did the devs gave it an initial prompt of it to speak like this? Or was it hacked? Either way, doesn’t feel professional in comparison to other Ais

This is more feature request than review.

Devs, please consider the following UX improvements as urgently needed:

1) The prompt field is currently limited to one line. This makes entering long prompts very clunky. Perplexity needs a multi line prompt input field.

2) It’s easy to accidentally clear a prompt, and there is no undo or shake-to-undo. This is a big time waster. Perplexity needs an undo for prompt clears.

3) Reply text cannot current be selected and copied. This greatly slows down many cases of iterative prompting or otherwise rising text from the reply. All prompt and reply text needs to be selectable so that sections can be copied ad hoc.

Collectively, these issues mean that a power user greatly benefit from writing prompts in a separate text editor and pasting them over into this app. Clearly this is not ideal - a text based UI needs to have excellent text manipulation UX.

I don’t know what happened since then, but this AI flies now! And the answers are accurate. I am now finding answers to things that I wouldn’t even know how to phrase to Google.

I’ve been tired of having to use chrome or google app and seeing a bunch of links for anything I ask. Neither am I happy with chatgpt where I can’t trust what it says. Perplexity gives me the best of google and chatgpt with blazing speed and reliable to check what it says through its references. The voice search and ability to keep asking more is super fun! Well done!

The best part of this app is the fact that you offer up the sources for the information that is returned.

The second best part is that you offer up very logical extensions of the initial question.

this app is what we’ve all wanted from Google but never got…because they became too self-interested instead of being interested in serving their customers.

I really loved Perplexity and its better th than the traditional method of searching. If you could add a few basic features, then the experience of Perplexity would be great. Number one what is the adding a adding a font size to the output of the answer. Maybe creating a Siri shortcuts that will be a great integration but overall the experience of Perplexity is really good.

First--Perplexity size is nice and small. I love this more than almost anything else 😂! I use this as my quick go-to AI chat for lighter questions and subjects. The response is lightning-fast and it saves all my threads. I can't ask for more! Just what I needed. I highly recommend.

I’ve had a few “threads” with this app, and it struggles with maintaining accurate context for questions beyond the first or second message.

For example, when I ask about current events, if one of its sources happen to be not-so-current, it causes the whole focus to become less specific to recent events.

But Perplexity still responds as if it’s on-topic, when it’s actually providing outdated info.

At least it lists its sources! I was able to quickly see why the info was incorrect - out of date sources, in this case.

Perplexity shows a lot of promise, though. I’m eager for all upgrades they make to it.

Still way better than asking Google for nuanced takes on complicated topics.

I found Perplexity by accident online but I am so glad I did. One request though - can you add support for having a larger font size? My phone is a small screen and I can’t see the results very well. That would make the this app iOS experience close to perfect, in my opinion .. Cheers!

I’m absolutely mind blown, head-over-heels in love with this app! Perplexity is a search engine on steroids - I can go down my various rabbit holes faster and deeper, all without a page full of “sponsored links” littering the results. Just an amazing piece of software - bravi to the developers!

No more getting spun around the internet researching information that leads you to every where but where you wanna go. Ask a question receive and instant "right" answer followed up in a concise or detailed view listing. Bye bye Google, hello this app!!

I am extremely impressed by how this system accurately answers questions without any ads, and their answers are always up to date.

Love how concisely Perplexity answers my questions. I also like that I can share the links to answer threads with other people instead of screenshotting results. Up-to-date alternative to chat GPT.

I love how it condenses what I’m looking for. That it provides the option to follow up or fine tune. Lastly that it saves your searches so you can go back & retrieve past information.

With follow up feature, I can easily learn any new knowledge deeper and wider. The history keeps my personal questions, which reminds me what I learned before. Nice to have this talent search app.

Dang this really is too good to be true. Everything you’d want for quick and way question asking. You can even search by voice.

I won’t renew my OpenAI subscription for GPT4 because of this.

Love the search experience! This is the best AI/GPT powered search I’ve found so far! I really wish there were Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets available though! Shortcuts integration would be awesome as well!

Perplexity works so well on both the phone and iPad with no distractions! It connects to the internet and provides updated information with references.

I like Perplexity and it’s use cases, however could we have the ability to copy specific sentences from the out rather than the entire results? Thanks!

this is a wonderful app, although that wasn’t my initial thought the first time I downloaded it. As a blind user who uses voiceover on the iPhone, I thought it would be best to use the button to ask a question by voice, but when I tried to do that, it made voiceover crash, and I couldn’t use the phone until somehow managing to get rid of Perplexity . Other blind people have had the same result. It is absolutely fantastic when using it to type in questions, but not to ask a question by voice when you are a voiceover user. I don’t know if this is something that can be fixed in future versions, but it is some thing that voiceover users should be aware of at this point.

I am a voiceover user, and I am running this on iOS 16.5.1. I can go to the TextField and use the dictation button on the keyboard were necessary. However, I noticed that when trying to use the microphone, voiceover, freezes. In order to get voiceover back, I have to exit Perplexity , then turn, voiceover off, then turn voiceover back on. I also have to close Perplexity in the process. I’m hoping that the microphone issue will be fixed soon. I actually heard about Perplexity through an Apple podcast.

Multimodal input including voice and voice output using an AI generated voice of our choice. This would be perfect! Any chance of an API where we can tinker with? As a smart bot this app has been fairly accurate and most answers are reliably sourced otherwise and I hope you devs continue to improve Perplexity

Oh and have an easy to remember name. this app is good but not easy to type!

Perplexity is ridiculous. You would assume a person is responding because Its almost as if it gets offended. It asked for the population of the trans community in India. I was genuinely curious about it and it told me basically to worry about health care for trans and treating them fairly. I kept asking and finally I asked if there were no statistics on the population and it finally generated an answer. Then I asked if some women wore a front Wedgie ( I don’t want to refer to it as a camel t*e just in case it’s inappropriate) but I asked if some women wore a front wedgie as a fashion statement or on purpose and again it told me it was inappropriate and that it is not my place to judge women. Excuse me I am a woman. I cant ask about things I’m genuinely curious about?

While OpenAI is a platform company (so their chat features is forever in what feels like 'demo mode') and Microsoft Bing is a search company (adhereing to constraints that fit their goals) this app appears to be a product company that is focused on a maximal search-assistant experience while staying out of the way. Happy with the free tier, I do wish they had a 'mid-tier' offering at half the pro price, would become a paid customer instantly.

I think this is an excellent implementation of the chat feature into the browser specifically for search purposes. I’m really impressed with the fact the sources are noted! I find it much more credible as a used case versus Microsoft implementation of chat GPT into Bing. I look forward to seeing where this goes.

The more abstract the question the fuzzier the results get, but Perplexity has been masterful at being able to suss out info on websites; especially “fine print” details which are nefariously hard to find or details like luggage weight limits for specific airlines. It also helped with financial equations in a fraction of the time it would have taken for me to figure out.

I’ve been using this app since its inception and it always delivers accurate answers, when it can. If your question is too specific, vague, or obscure it doesn’t “hallucinate.”

I’m now finally leaving a review because I’ve run into an annoying bug where it won’t produce an answer and loads indefinitely. So far the only fix that’s worked is clearing my thread history

I have submitted feedback to the developers about the voiceover issues but so far I have heard nothing. Each line of an answer appears to only contain one word and when you do say all it just reads one word at a time. There’s no way to select or listen to the entire answer at once. And using the voiceover screen reader on the iPhone if you’re blind it’s just a very unpleasant experience the interface is very clunky and not fun to use and a lot of the buttons are not properly labeled. and it shouldn’t be that way.

My only criticism is that it struggles to identify truly authoritative sources on more advanced questions like identifying the best examples of journey maps from big companies. For most stuff though it’s my go-to search for quick information available on the web.

I use Perplexity daily. I can’t believe it is free and how easy and simple it is to use. It gives great results that you can verify with the source links it provides. It’s given me thorough answers about my son’s disability, about video games, and basketball scores. Thank you for this gem!

When it comes to IAs connected to the internet this app is by far the best. It considers more results than others and the way it summarizes and arranges its answers are impressive, the only downside (at least at the moment) is that the copilot feature is note yet available.

I’ve been waiting for this. I rarely need in depth research, I just need quick answers. this app is the simplest, fastest and easiest to use AI powered research tool I’ve seen. I literally almost never use Google now. To make it even better, their mobile app makes it so easy.

this app seems like it just stands in the middle of the AI war but never gets kicked around, keeps doing it’s thing and one day when the war is over will still be right where it has always doing everything other AI sources were fighting to to do, it’s excellent.

I am absolutely blown away by the this app app! As someone who has tried countless chatbot AI apps, I have yet to come across one quite like this app. Perplexity has managed to answer questions that other chatbots have failed to answer, time and time again.

One thing that sets this app apart from other AI apps is its ability to understand context. It doesn't just provide a generic response to a question, it actually takes into account the context of the conversation to provide a more accurate and personalized answer. This has been incredibly helpful for me, as I often find myself asking complex questions that other chatbots struggle to answer.

Another thing I love about this app is its user-friendly interface. Perplexity is very easy to navigate, and it's clear that a lot of thought has gone into designing it. Perplexity 's creators have clearly put a lot of effort into making sure that users have a seamless experience.

I do not usually post reviews but this app goes past “good”, and well into brilliant. I’ve tried many other chatAI apps, most being ridiculously expensive or rendered useless by a flood of ads, commercials or the like.

this app does not do this. It’s simple interface is wonderful, the follow up suggestion are usually spot on. The information itself is presented as simple text- no fluff, no ads, no commercials, no splashy colors- just the info. I appreciate the work it took to create Perplexity, and that it takes to keep it up and running.

I am just loving this app - not only is it efficient and answers most questions accurately, it’s free too!
I was stuck with an issue where I was not able to import a snowflake library in Python, only this app helped me pinpoint the issue (I had already tried other popular tools like ChatGPT, bard and Claude but not got the correct answer)

I once got an ad for this game, and thought it was sick. The even better part, when I downloaded it, there were no ads. A miracle has occurred. God bless ‘Merica. And now, that I have my own Ai assistant… I CAN DO ANYTHING I WANT!!! I can even ask it how to burn down my neighbors house if I wanted to! From, Me PS I didn’t mean the last part. Please don’t hurt me.

As with all AI tools, what you get depends on what you give (I guess that applies to life in general.)
Poor, non specific prompt input results in poor output.
Perplexity is superior once you determine exactly what you want from it. You can even enter a profile giving the ai an idea of your interests or field of research (just don't give away personal info.)
It will search customized for your profile needs. This way you don't have to contextualize your prompt each time.
I really,really,really like the references to its sources as well as the three suggestions at the end. This is useful if you want to broaden your search or explore a narrower, more detailed search.
And that's not even the Pro Upgrade!

I do a lot of research for medicine and this helps me out a ton when I need to look something up in between patients. It is flexible enough to allow for as much or as little information as you may need. Not so much a complaint, but Perplexity still has elements to catch up with the web service. Overall, really amazing stuff; definitely worth the subscription fee.

This has become my number 1 tool for doing any research. When I have a question, it’s like having an assistant who will “google” it and then sift through all the results and give me the correct answer every time, along with the sources. This is the kind of tool that really highlights the potential of AI for improving our day-to-day lives.

I am a conspiracy researcher who finds this tool incredible. However,
As powerful as Perplexity is for research, it is equally powerful in giving you answers, determined solely off of what it thinks you already know. based on the language you use you can get two totally different answers to the same question. For example, if you pre-requisite your question with an indication that you might already know the answer in the question is controversial it might give it to you, but if you indicate that you do not know the answer, it will tell you what “ they” think you should hear.

As many have stated, I’ve tried many of these AI apps, and right away, this app was different. What jumped out to me were a few things: uncluttered easy to use interface, listing of sources; copilot, ability to fine tune a search, the related questions section at the end of your answer, and just the overall thoroughness of the answers.

I am very very impressed at what the devs have done with AI in such a relatively short time, and can’t wait to see how fast and far we will go in the near future!

I do have one wish/request: to make it easier within Perplexity to save/print the answers. I know you can copy easily to the clipboard, and to use the share icon to try and accomplish other tasks, but I think having some dedicated buttons to save/print/email/etc would be the cherry on top! Many answers I get are so valuable that I want to save them outside of the library section of Perplexity , and I want a super easy way to do that.

Remember (or ever heard about) long ago when people used to just surf the web and learn new things? That’s what Perplexity allows you to do again. It’s honestly pretty amazing.

And I can’t see this lasting forever so enjoy this style app while you can! It is a tremendous value.

You can google all your curiosities and let the AI virtual workers filter the results and deliver just the bullet points. Perplexity makes the web Ad and Distraction free. I find myself googling historical facts, IT questions and even some religious historical curiosities I’ve long had. It delivers it all and based on a minimum of 3 cited sources each time.

The sad part is that the web is not sustainable if the Average Joe starts using the internet like this. The modern web is built on ads. I almost wish there would be an option for an up charge where Perplexity maker gives a few pennies to the sources of each google result.

Please enjoy it while you can! It won’t last forever.

You download Perplexity at first you will be blown away. It will give you the best answers most accurate and exactly what you want.

Time passes.. Perplexity collects data like a whirlpool. Those questions you want answers to become tailored over time. It’s like Perplexity starts pulling you more toward the side it wants you to know. It won’t give you those exacts needed and it can become frustrating.

If you use a VPN or tracker blocker, forget about Perplexity , it won’t work. It’s storing all questions and data nonstop you type, which at first was awesome but it gets to know your side better and starts to pull in opposite direction.

I was a first responder to when this launched, still using and can say it’s a part of my day to day. But I can see where this is heading.

As one of the first users of this app, I’ve seen how capable it was and was blown away by its performance and truly smart replies. But lately, I’ve noticed that the results produced by it has diminished in quality. I’m actually blown away at how terrible it is as if they were written by today’s elementary students. Try asking side by side the same question using this app, Google search engine without Bard, and Bing ai. You will see the stunning differences. this app has the worst reply below a standard Google search engine. Add in Bard and it becomes even more apparent. The results that this app spits out seems like they were pulled from the lowest quality websites created by who knows who, who are definitely not the subject experts. How did this happen? Did you guys hire the wrong trainers? I meant ChatGPT is ChatGPT right? Why is this app below par?

I rarely write reviews for applications. Only when they’re really good or really bad. In this case, this app is in the really good category. For the same price of ChatGPT+, you get access to 5 AI models… including ChatGPT! this app takes their application further with copilot running alongside these LLM APIs to dynamically interact with the data being processed by the AI model. Perplexity ’s method of responding to queries with responses that have, in most cases, web link references to cite the information being generated, makes the task of interacting with LLM query responses and, more importantly, verify the facts presented with references a breeze.

I never, EVER rate things. But Perplexity changed my life for the better. It searches like 25 sources, summarizes perfectly, and gives you the sources. You can ask anything under the sun, from those weird questions that just pop into your brain, or even nuanced questions that you need to figure out at work. I love it, and I happily pay for the premium version. Definitely give it a try.

newsletter hits a high note she doesn’t reach for casually, so I installed Perplexity on iPhone 13 Pro running iOS 17.2.1, and my first few experiments have justified what sound like extravagant claims. I’m using the free version but I know I’ll subscribe soon.

this app is many things; fast, reliable, very beautiful and stable (have you ever noticed no LLM based software has a solid and beautiful UI?), very powerful and very good for the price. I use this simple AI app for everything from finding the answers to random questions or creating fun trivia games. I find directions to games, creative activities, recipes, crafts, or just to find out interesting information because I’m curious like that! I use this in my classroom and with my kids. We use it in the car and doctors offices and sometimes around the table to generate a family conversation. Helps get the brain cells Poppin and makes our minds more curious. I can’t recommend this enough.

Upon asking any question, it provides a consolidated answer and links to indicate where the server did its research. It also offers smart follow up questions. It answers whatever you ask coherently and is editorially short and succinct. I haven’t used it enough to know more, but I will persevere.

Bottom line is, it’s far more useful and time optimal to provide one detailed answer, than to use google to hatchet together your own. That alone is a pure win.

This is such a great search engine what much more than that it gives you detailed information without going through all these different websites it’s up-to-date. It’s very easy to use. I love to look to layout I believe this is the way of the future. Google you better look behind your shoulders.

I have just started using the this app app but have found it incredibly useful already. When I ask a specific question it not only gives me a detailed response but also provides references. It saves me the time and bother of poking around numerous websites for an answer, and it actually provides answers that I haven’t been able to find in my own.

“Ask follow up” doesn’t work on iPad if I try to type a follow up. Only works with the microphone speech button. Also the subscription is expensive if I consider I already pay other AI services that can also do search and many other functions. I would pay 5 bucks if they ever offer a cheaper plan. If I could use an OpenAI API key without paying I would use it. That aside its the best search option as of February 2024.

I never ever ever ever ever thought I would say “goodbye Google” I’m not affiliated with this app, but I wish I was. This company has built a product that, even as a AI researcher, made my jaw drop. This thing can understand images. Let me tell you. I was doing trivia some really hard math trivia which I I could not for the life of me figure out. I decided to try perplexitys capabilities and well it to my surprise, recognized every single number on the paper correctly, as well as computed the math flawlessly. For the next hour, I couldn’t stop trying subject after subject of trivia, seeing if anything to trick it, and really the only thing that I found that could check it was my Chihuahua. It knew that the picture of the small weird looking dog was a Chihuahua but it told me it wasn’t sure if it was an Applehead or Deerhead. Hint: it’s an Applehead. You can literally take a picture of a hand written, love letter, a hand, written, love letter, and I even tried my, a mushroom growing and it will tell you everything you want to know. It’s three in the morning and this app AI should be banned because it’s kept me up this late playing with it.

On average and ask about 30 to 40 questions a day. I use it for calorie tracking. Keeping my clients entertained. Finding free software. Searching multiple websites to find the cheapest items online. This really isn’t an oversell. This is just what it does very easily for me every day, and a heck of a lot more. I do not use anything else unless I’m trying to generate an image. You could step up your game in that department.

Because how great this tool is- I no longer use Google or anything else for web searches.
I have a ChatGPT account and have been comparing the two for a couple months and they are almost identical in their responses, but if the data needs to be current- this app wins. Especially when you use the Copilot option. The only advantage that ChatGPT has over this app is the custom GPT tools. If this app starts to offer that I’ll cancel my ChatGPT Plus and switch to this app Pro.

Since I have gotten this, I have used the free version. I am certainly not a power user and use it in my normal searches. Strangely, there is lots. I need to search sometimes for general information and things I never knew. It is always quick with the information and has only been confused with a query once, as I can remember. One downside is that it is often quite repetitive in its replies. Another downside, and it’s also an asset, I think, is the snippets of information that it provides all on its own. These are usually interesting and worth reading. However, after reading one I would like to be able to delete it if no other reasons then to make room for additional ones. I’m also waiting to receive rabbit R1 in order to get more use of this device.

May I say, I’ve only used this outstanding app for a couple of weeks but I LOVE it! I ask the most obscure questions and it knows, it just knows! What a beautiful tool to have access to.
One thing, I would love to be able to ask a prior question again but I have to ask it all over again, instead of being able to just choose it again. Why, you ask? Because I would want to expand the sources that give me the answer, to stretch the information trail.
Other than that, Perplexity is the best. Put in the ability to choose a browser to use to link to and I’d be dancing on the head of a pixel.

Pros:
* See review title. Logical follow-ups are also suggested, which I find quite handy.
* Answers are clear and concise, in plain English.
* It’s as fast as google.
* History of questions is maintained for returning to topic, and easily deleted as desired.
* Zero click bait to distract you. Reminds me of google 15 years ago.
* Sources used for consensus information are clearly displayed, and seem to be high-end reliable (NIH, CDC, Mayo Clinic etc.)
* Queries are not sent until you hit the “go” arrow, making it easy to read and rephrase as appropriate. For some, this could be a con since it’s an added step, but I prefer it. It leads to more precise, efficient answers.

Con’s:
I haven’t found any to date. But, since nothing is perfect, 4 stars (I’m a very hard grader).

Perhaps it’s simplicity will bother some but, as previously stated, I really like that. Search interfaces are overly complex these days, and filled with invasive, self-serving advertising disguised as entertainment or knowledge.

this app makes understanding complicated ideas, thoughts or activities easy. It is like they filter search engine results and then translate that into easy to understand information. They also give you links if you want to know more. I am under the impression that they do not favor anyone, but use all the info available to give you a very balanced easy to understand explanation. I have stopped using other Search engines/software as this app is much better.

Perplexity is really good and i have been utilizing it for the past month. Ive noticed that there are glitches where when i copy and past something into the text but then theres no enter button. The blue little button disappears on me alot. Even when i get off the keyboard it is gone. Another this is that when you are writing something long like a paragraph, the same situation happens. You cannot scroll down or tap the blue button. I really like Perplexity, if this can be fixed it would be a huge help because i find myself going on chat gpt soley just because of these issues. Nonetheless, a great app, great user interface, and very explational.

Going back to a search engine feels antiquated. and the results here are usually much higher quality. plus I can bypass the dumb algorithms and censorship on google and wikipedia. I mean who isnt sick to death of useless, overly seo-optimized sites cluttering your search results? (I'm looking at you healthline, webmd, mayoclinic, clevelandclinic). occasionally an ai generated site slips into the results though, so check the sources. when you use a search engine, you ask yourself a question, write a search friendly query and start going down the rabbit hole depending on the depth of your query. well this app explores all the rabbit holes at once, and practically writes you a wiki page on the fly with all sources. amazing. then you ask a followup, and boom another wiki page with sources. easily the best and fastest way to explore a topic quickly and thoroughly. thank you this app for whacking at goog, wiki, and bull-**** SEO. if I could request one thing its this - there are people on X who I would call "aggregators" they thoroughly understand a topic and have good information linked in their messages. if you could tap into that human curation, that would be excellent.

So I’ve only been a subscriber for less than a month but I have been using this tool almost at a daily basis. Previously I had the ability to play back what was written by the AI model and throughly enjoyed asking it questions and having the ability to talk back which was AMAZING and now…. Its another tool I have to read 😐. Mostly I use this tool on my iPhone because I’m on the go the majority of the time so having a semi conversation by talking and NOT typing and READING was a great time saver. Bring this back that’s as far as I’m going to comment here. Don’t tease users with this awesome feature just to take it back a few days into using your platform. Thanks, Manny

I love Perplexity , its taken about 50% of my google searches!

Though, what would make this 5 stars if follow up questions better remembered context of my conversation. I often find I have to modify my original question in a thread to ask follow up questions (as it doesn’t remember my original question well).

For example (simplified), I might ask how do I update my iPhone and it tells me. However, then I ask how long this might take (and it has a hard time remembering initial context). This is an extremely simplified example that’s not a real case, but I do often find context of first question lost for follow ups.

I’ve tried all the major AI chat apps for a few months and this is by far my most trusted one. Time and time again the responses were the most accurate, with very recent, up-to-date information. It’s also very transparent, with the sources clearly referenced. I also appreciate that no logging is required to try out Perplexity . The only issue I’m experiencing is that when I enter a long prompt while using my iPhone, the enter button is no longer visible. So I can’t figure out any way to actually submit long prompts in Perplexity . The only workaround I found is to switch to the browser-based version.

I’m stunned at how effective this app is at answering virtually every question I’ve had for the past several weeks. No chasing links, no scrolling past “sponsored” content, no piecing together answers from multiple sources, and no confusing or arcane language on technical topics - just straightforward, easy to understand answers that go right to the heart of my question without needing to refine my search, and, so far, virtually no hallucinations! (I’ve been checking.) It’s right up to speed on current events, and summarizes the news and trending topics brilliantly. Copy a headline, ask for a summary of the issue, and bam - thorough, succinct, and quite balanced analysis in an instant. Apps available for all my devices, all for free! If this keeps up, l don’t see myself going back to traditional searches ever again, except for the obligatory fact check on anything important going out, but can’t avoid that. this app for me? Sold…!

I use this app AI like most others use Google: it is my main search engine. I’ll even use it in my profession in my domain expertise because I’m skeptical enough to know when it may be giving me wrong advice.

Where is it weak?
It occasionally gets stuff wrong. If you bother to remain skeptical and check its sources when you so intuit, you could verify that so it’s not a real problem.

Where is it strong?
Its AI-searched and -generated summary answer saves me so much time by not having to look through ten websites and not having to search within the webpage for the relevant information (buried under a dog pile of advertising).

Where am I apprehensive?
Like all gatekeepers to information, eventually someone with big pockets will pay this app to integrate its products and services favorably in the AI-answers…”pay to play.” When that happens, it will fall to 2 to 4 stars. Until then, it’s a real deal 5-star app.
