I just downloaded the new app and it’s not sending me the verification email despite email being correct and requesting it at least 5 times. I also don’t see any way to join waitlist. Maybe some new release bugs?

Reward points didn’t transfer after KuraSushiRewards upgrade.

Took 15 minutes to download, no WI-FI in Plano store. If you're so forward thinking why no customer WI-FI? At first use no transfer of previous purchases or ability to scan bill (Try Later) Maybe I try later to pay. New and improved Really?
Lost a good customer over this poor attempt to upgrade.

Look out for the robot drink servers

I entered my promo code at checkout but never actually checked out. They marked my coupon as “redeemed” and now I can’t even use the coupon

I went for the very first time and I loved it. The food is amazing and the place is a whole different experience, and omg the little robot serving water, adorable 👏.
My server was José, and was super nice, helpful and patience.

Migrated my account with no problem. Love the rewards and the improved location search feature. Nice to see these enhancements.

Be aware if you have used the previous app and have had two people or devices connected to the same account that this configuration is no longer permitted.

The downgraded functionality means my wife and I can’t use the same account in KuraSushiRewards .

While it may be harsh to downgrade KuraSushiRewards for disabling useful features, this one seems particularly short-sighted on the part of the product team.

It means we’ll only use KuraSushiRewards when we are going together and not when I am going to lunch with co-workers.

It feels like the product team have no idea how people actually use technology as a family.

Boo.

Very frustrating to actually redeem coupons from severs. I had an issue with Russell at the Irvine location in which he refused to scan coupons on a split bill, despite us asking before hand to bill us separately

The restaurant is fantastic. KuraSushiRewards, not so much. Constantly reloads, can look at the menu before it bugs and sends you back to the main page.

The old app wasn’t great either, but was at least usable. Hopefully some updates will help in the future.

Why would you advertise for people to download app but every time at the restaurant your scan for bar code or input bar does not work. I should sue your company for false advertising.

I love eating here, especially how every couple of months they change the theme and prizes. I especially love the quick response when I emailed them through the Kura website about my reward points question!

Trying to place a pickup order is nearly impossible. It is very slow on loading and scrolling half a centimeter at a time makes ordering unbearable. KuraSushiRewards may also be inaccurate. Many items are listed as Out Of Stock on KuraSushiRewards . But while dining in, I started a mock pick up order. The items that were “out of stock” were on the conveyer belt and I was also able to order it on the touch screen and it was sent to my table. There much room for improvement with KuraSushiRewards . I how the devs see this review.

I had 400+ points under my old account. When I Migrated to this new app it brought over those points but with the first receipt I scanned my points went to 17. What why??

On top of that I made a mistake and didn’t update the year on my birthday and now it says it is going to delete my account because I’m in violation of their TOS and I can’t fix it in KuraSushiRewards . My only recourse is to file a complaint.

KuraSushiRewards is garbage, I’ll be calling the restaurant tomorrow to see what I can do to fix this.

The restaurant is phenomenal, but KuraSushiRewards feels ancient. The takeout option is soooo slow at loading it makes navigating impossible. Japan has no takeout culture, but the USA is all about takeout! More takeout doesn’t mean less of the Kura experience, you just need to cater to two different types of consumers here. If you want to increase sales in America, Kura needs to step up its takeout game.

I cannot order or even look at the menu from KuraSushiRewards because it’s really slow. When I scroll it will not move till full minute or longer. I also feel like they do not update the menu as often. Items will show out of stock but they have it at the restaurant.

KuraSushiRewards is honestly so slow. It took me about 30 minutes to put my order in. I had given up in previous attempts but I wanted to see how long it would actually take this third time. Please fix this. I feel like I’m waiting for a MySpace page to load in 2005.

It’s super slow on my old phone and even my new phone even with the fastest connection please fix KuraSushiRewards

After 20 min trying to order online I just gave up because KuraSushiRewards would move at a GLACIAL pace.

Great restaurant but good luck if you want to order o line.

It was great that the old all allowed you to add your scan code to Apple Wallet. It’s a shame that this functionality was taken away. Please bring it back.

A little pricey, I liked the conveyer belt. They had good choices but most were on the menu not many came around on the belt.

KuraSushiRewards, while pretty, makes it nearly impossible to actually place a pickup order. It takes forever to load the menu, then it’s extremely slow to scroll - then it just stops functioning all together. Please fix this

KuraSushiRewards is incredibly slow, it placed my order at a different location, and sent me 26 emails about the order.

There isn’t a way, a clear way at least, to add a coupon to an online order.

Very easy to earn rewards but then they expire within twenty days. KuraSushiRewards should let you keep your points until you are ready to redeem them.

Can’t scroll thru the menu without KuraSushiRewards freezing

KuraSushiRewards cannot be used to order if you hope to scroll through the menu. There seems to be a memory leak or errant miscalculation upon display of the menu that disallows scrolling past nigiri section. If you're lucky, you might be able to search for specific items and add them to your order, but I have never gotten past that point before the return to the menu freezes the rest of the UI out.

As you can't make reservations at locations the old app allowed them, I've decided to just give up on the entire franchise.

Mutenmaru needs more plates; he will no longer be receiving them from me.

The food itself is amazing.

KuraSushiRewards is a disaster. Constant lagging & drain my battery like crazy. Even small orders takes at least 10 minutes because of the lag. Not only that, sometimes my order gets canceled randomly, so I’d have to spend another 10 minutes re-ordering everything.

Just a little advice, you can’t do anything about the lag, at least have a “save order” function of something. So people can come back and finish their order after scraping up more patience.

I joined the waitlist from home and left to be in time for the estimated table but then I have to check in for my waitlist. When you get a text confirmation, it doesn’t say anything about this, just “We’ll tell you when your table is nearly ready”. Nothing about check in still which is frustrating. Stood outside for 15 minutes before I noticed other people checking in and then I was 10th on the waitlist. Very frustrating system. Seems kinda pointless

KuraSushiRewards forces you to redeem your $5 off rewards once you've hit 500 points, then forces it to expire in 3 weeks, making you perpetually need to go back to make full use of the rewards. This is terrible for people who live 1+ hrs away and still want to take advantage of the rewards, but don't want to have to come every 3 weeks.

I liked KuraSushiRewards better when you can see what number you are in line. It’s frustrating not knowing if they are taking in customers in order or just taking people randomly. Also, what is the point of KuraSushiRewards if after joining the waitlist, I still have to check the status through a text message that takes me to a different website?!

I eat here quite often and the rewards only give you $5 off coupons that expire within a month and you can only use 2 at a time. Nice to get a slight discount on a regular $75 to $100 bill but it’s pretty useless overall. It’d be nice if you could choose a discount based on your rewards points accumulated. I currently have 7 $5 rewards I’d have to go 4 times to use in 20 days.

Downloading the new app and using my email somehow caused my device be recognized as an unknown device by Google gmail. I use my email daily on my device and have never been prompted to have to recover my email because gmail doesn’t recognize my device. I am now unable to access my gmail on my device all together. KuraSushiRewards tampered with my phone!

The new app doesn’t work at all for me. I can no longer log in even after resetting my password, I just get error messages. Before this issue KuraSushiRewards always ran very slow. I hope they fix it because the restaurant really is super fun to go to their app just isn’t functional

Maria was my server and she checked on me a few times to make sure my table was clear and was attentive!

The order experience is horrible. App does not respond when Swiping up/down. Or it just takes a very long time to refresh. KuraSushiRewards needs improvement on responsiveness.

Someone needs to retest KuraSushiRewards before release. Why do i have to “Reload” every time I move from one tab to another. It takes me about 15 minutes to order about 4 or 5 items. Its really not acceptable!

I went here twice and it was fabulous but the last time I went after a 3 hour wait there was almost no food coming out. We had to resort to ordering on the tough screen and even that took a long time. Hard to say how often that will be the situation.

Don't try placing pickup orders through KuraSushiRewards . KuraSushiRewards is completely unresponsive and when it does work I can scroll for a split second then it'll stop working again. Not convenient at all as I can't even scroll through the menu items. Let alone add them to the cart to checkout. So frustrating.
