I wanted to learn how to draw in perspective. Basically, drawing a cabin in perspective. But when I tap on perspective basics I, it will not let me select that part of the course. Instead, says “oh no! unknown screen type: course.” and gets me back to the basic selections. I waited multiple times for SimplyDraw to get situated. But it kept saying the same thing. How can I pass the perspective basics I, if it keeps denying me to finish cabin drawing by telling me “Oh No: Unknown screen type: course.”?

And it is not the problem of my iPad, because I tap selected the Element Basics I (a course that teaches me how to do shading) and SimplyDraw has no problem opening the Element Basics I. But some reason, it has a problem of opening the Perspective Basics I. This is beyond frustrating. And quite frankly, this is a false hope for me because I wanted to be better at drawing one day (especially in drawing backgrounds in perspective & perspective in general), and discovered SimplyDraw with a lot of good reviews. At first, I kind of approved it. But I felt like it was a lie. I HATE false hopes. Especially when the false hopes decimated my hope and dreams in my future. I dealt with them many times in my life.
However, I am willing to change my ratings, if you fix that problem and let me continue to pass the Perspective Basics and get one in the next perspective courses. But until, I have to give Simple Draw 1 star.

Hi I’m a young artist, I’ve been looking for an app to get better at art, something with tutorials. And I came across SimplyDraw. SimplyDraw was cool I guess at first but after the first lesson, I have to pay for more lessons. I even looked for reviews to see if it was completely free and even google and it said SimplyDraw was but google isn’t really reliable for things like that. Honestly if you have money then ignore this review you should try it to see if you wanna spend your money on the monthly plan because SimplyDraw is helpful for beginners. But if not it’s honestly a waste of your time. And on the preview it doesn’t say anything about having to pay monthly for more lessons. Sorry for yapping I just really liked SimplyDraw but don’t have money just for a couple of lessons and is a waste of time for people like me (broke😔😒)

I think someone stated that SimplyDraw is only focused on certain genres at a time?

First it was nature, they spent a year on the course before moving onto animal around February-March of 2024. This means that they have two courses available as I type this review, although they show artwork from Human Figures, Illustrations, Portrait, Animals, and Nature. Only Nature and Animals are available. Probably be a year until another course becomes available.

I addressed them about the lack of courses available months, replied that they’ll have more content in a few weeks. 4 weeks later they were new content out. I used SimplyDraw previously so I could better my craft and draw my many characters I created and even draw my best friend without using someone else’s app, site, artwork. As of 2024, Simply Draw is clickbait to those who want to learn Human Figure, Portrait, and Illustrations. Unless they speed up their production and produce the other courses.

It’s disappointing that an app that advertises all courses but only have two available. They should of worked on the courses before launching SimplyDraw , instead they launch SimplyDraw with one course available in 2023 and two courses available in 2024 so far. Shame, that current rating of 4.9 is a lie. I’d give them a 2.7-3.0.

Sure there is new so stressful because it’s like parents make you stress but they’re not trying to and then they all say it’s only your first step like my sister taught me a different way how to do things that is so much better than this and it is not stressful it just takes a bit but like it’s not that long you’ll be surprised if you do it so you just print out a picture that you like then go on the back and get a pencil and like dark shade it like completely dark around the whole entire back paper and then whenever you want to draw after you finish you go to the front of the paper then get a different paper put it underneath then lightly do the out lines then you got a out line and like almost every one can shade so you could do the details and you don’t have to worry about outlines

OK, so this was a really good app. The only thing I didn’t like is that you had to pay? and now what I mean is that they didn’t warn you in the start and I wasted all my time doing all the shading and everything and then it said oh you’re ready for premium. then I even lied when I was doing the thing. like the review. i’m like what I like and what I don’t like. then it says oh you’re ready for premium every time I like, did the quiz. so basically just completely wasted my time and then it just said oh come on pay. like my world doesn’t work like that you tell me to pay in the beginning. overall, if you really didn’t have to pay or if they told you that in the start, it would be like the best app in the world for drawing. but that’s my honest opinion whoever likes SimplyDraw no hate to you. but that’s it.

Like I’m trying to learn how to draw not to waste my money, please make SimplyDraw free the parents may say no because they don’t wanna waste money on a stupid app well we supposed to learn while paying money kids don’t have money and those do the parents still have enough money to do it every single month or every single three months please make it’s free, okay because I’m not spending money, they don’t even have like I’m just a kid not a whole grown-up that pays bills in the house OK OK just do a update that you don’t have to waste your money on it if you don’t wanna waste money don’t buy SimplyDraw because you have to pay money so we can move on so if you wanna waste your money on it then buy it okay? I know people are saying this is awesome map but it’s probably because the kids don’t know you have money that is actually valuable to buy food water and also the kids can go to college because they waste their money on SimplyDraw I’m not Karen or anything but I’m just saying if you wanna waste the money waste your money on this never buy SimplyDraw you just have to pay money every single three months or so kids are trying to learn to draw not to spend money and also simply more like not simply because you have to waste your money like I get you money but doesn’t mean you have to make kids ask their mom for money to play SimplyDraw okay? Just please make a update without wasting your money bye.

It tells you to select ATLEAST 3 types of drawing that interest you or ish to improve and then skews which you want to start with, but then says the teachers are working on that “as you read this sentence” please select a different one, and then when I look t the list, they all say unavailable, leaving the least important of my list.

Additionally, the “ teacher speaks like a pre school teacher running arts and crafts at a senior living rec room, no need to try so hard to sound like an academic, he was likely a hall monitor every year and maximized his joy when reporting violators of school rules.

If you haven’t finished certain parts of SimplyDraw , don’t inconvenience the user twenty questions,… do what you know and, oh I dunno, shut up and SIMPLY DRAW. Garbage app.

Now SimplyDraw is pretty great, it has step by step easy lessons to improve your drawing skills and make your art your own. And not to mention, there are so many skills to learn! SimplyDraw would definitely be a 5 star, if 4 out of the 5 skills hadn’t been locked for like 3 years or so. To the creators of SimplyDraw: please fix this because I have been waiting for a year now, I have SimplyDraw on my iPad but I never use it, I’ve been waiting for so long for the other skills because I actually really wanna learn them. I am really close uninstalling SimplyDraw .

So it’s a great app but but the cost is unbelievable imagine you want to improve your drawing skills so you stumble across SimplyDraw and you decide to buy it and it makes you sign in and get you started you do the tutorial and then after it asks do you want to upgrade to premium for money and you don’t want to so you press the X button on the top of the screen and then you press the next tutorial and you go back to the premium page you realize that you have to pay for it so you ask your parent or if your an adult you if you can buy it if you can’t you have to delete it. It doesn’t tell in the adds that it costs money so you assume it’s free if you’re like me. But anyways I wish you could at least lower the price

The world of art is huge and the styles and creativity extend so much farther beyond teaching people to draw a realism sketch of an old man that no one would feel moved by. Simply, do your research, learn what your demographic may actually be interested in. Have the discussion to inspire people to draw what truly engages them. It completely dodges establishing that art is a big world and there’s so many styles to make something that moves people, creates works the world loves, and wins awards. Instead they instantly prescribe you the things you would learn if someone taught you how to draw 100 years ago, bowls of fruit, a baby you don’t know and don’t care about, a woman with no emotion sitting on a chair. Ask them to draw a friend, someone’s baby they do know, ask them to render a scene honoring a family member in their favorite place in the world. Creativity is about creating and expressing, it’s about having something to say. These tutorials teach you how to say nothing and just get close to that photoshop pencil photo filter.

This is amazing! With SimplyDraw I was able to create my first realistic drawing and actually like it! 😊I finished all the available ones and can’t wait for more! Thank you so much for this, I am a visual learner so SimplyDraw really helps me out and I love the jokes and pun’s really helps me feel like I have a teacher who is fun and also patient as well as kind. I’m sooo excited for the animal a plant corses though I do go through every corse available it’s just more fun to draw the things your more motivated to draw. Reader’s download SimplyDraw and give it a try even if drawing realistically isn’t your thing, it helps you understand shading, lighting and so much more! I found it 100 times better then the art classes I once took where I barely understood anything.

So, SimplyDraw is generally great, I had no problems with SimplyDraw ’s content in the like, 15 minutes of my usage, but I could not move on after the sailboat lesson, because I had to take a picture of my work. Now, normally, I would have no problems with that, but my camera is glitched and no longer works, so I could not move on to the next lesson because I HAD to take a picture, which, honestly I think is dumb, and should be optional, for privacy reasons, and I wish there was an option where you could import a photo from your camera roll, or something like that, instead, if you don’t want to take a picture directly.

I really enjoyed SimplyDraw , but why does it cost to go more why a trial it doesn’t have to be like that there’s so many things you could’ve done to make it better. I don’t want it to cost to be more even more better so I’m not being a free trial that only lasted for two days, did you really be something about this I really enjoyed SimplyDraw. It helped a lot and I just knew exactly that this would be good. All good so I thought there should be something about this. Why not something about this anyways there’s no complains about this. I don’t know what to complain about anymore, busting reviews. Well you can definitely get screwed up on this one but it’s perfect for ones. They’re looking to learn for like three minutes.

I was super happy about this game, and was excited to get it, I did the first course and tapped on the second one when it said I had to pay a monthly fee to continue. I understand that it how you earn money from it, I was just disappointed that I couldn’t use SimplyDraw without paying. Think it is a great app overall, just disappointed, probably won’t be using it any more now that I have to pay. If you can I think it would be better for a lot of people if you could add ads in and the subscription be to remove the adds so you don’t have to pay if you don’t want to but you would still earn money from putting up the ads. Hope you consider this idea!!!

So I found SimplyDraw because I downloaded Drawing Desk, but I saw you needed to pay so I went to the ‘more like this’ to see if there were any free apps like it. I found Simply Draw and I looked in the ‘in app purchases’ section to make sure you didn’t NEED to pay to use SimplyDraw . I got through one whole cute kawaii character before it forced me to buy Premium, why have it a free app at all? I tried to continue without premium but to no avail.

To be clear I am a preteen, my Mom doesn’t pay for apps and I don’t get my own online money until I get a job so like when I’m like a teenager. SOO not fair! If you want to charge kids money for creativity at least say it on the AppStore page so parents don’t end up with heart broken kids! What if I got this for my 6 year old brother? He would be devastated that he couldn’t continue. I love SimplyDraw and personally I would pay if I could I loved the lessons, the features, the feedback. I loved everything about it and now I can’t use it.

I will admit that leaves me rather….HEARTBROKEN, or DEVASTATED, or BETRAYED. But I am a kind person and naive by nature. I would so download SimplyDraw again when I’m older! But I can’t use it anymore right now. If you guys even read your reviews know that I do love your game! I just can’t give an app five stars if I can’t use it daily. Sorry.

I would really recommend SimplyDraw to beginners because it can actually help you learn how to draw. Also it sort of helped me learn how to draw somethings that I have always wanted to learn to draw but I could never. If you have anger issues like me it was kind of hard but SimplyDraw is still actually really good! Why it isn’t 5 stars is because there were things I would love to learn how to draw but it wasn’t released yet. But honestly SimplyDraw is fantastic and I would love to use it every day if I could! By the way SimplyDraw has helped me a lot with art and how to draw. How they could improve is release the things that aren’t and basically yeah I’m not sure what else to say.

So far I’ve been really impressed with SimplyDraw and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning more about drawing more realistically. The only thing I would mention is that the only course I can take is nature. SimplyDraw came out around a year ago and they still haven’t updated their courses. If your reading this, please release more. I’m going to finish the course soon and you don’t have anything else out for us. I also noticed that the nature course isn’t even FINISHED. So don’t count on seeing the other courses soon. I would say that if you’re really into drawing nature, get SimplyDraw, but if you’re not really interested, maybe wait until they have finished filming and editing the other content. I would hope that you give it a go though because it is really amazing and has kept me busy. I’ll write another review once they have released the other courses.

I really like SimplyDraw it is very useful to learn drawing and I like how I can pause it plus not much of a need to pause anyway because the teacher allows you to moves at your own pace however I really wanted to learn to draw human faces & animals not only nature scenes. I thought I’d be able to move on past the nature stuff but I see the content for the other things like humans& animals are “coming soon” however, when I have read other reviews it seems people have been waiting for a while to be able to use that part of it. I really hope you guys can work on this soon I was so excited to start that part. If I can’t get to that sooner than later I don’t see myself keeping SimplyDraw much longer. (And I’ve only had it for a week)

I know a lot of things are coming soon, but I just want to mention some thing. Honestly there should be a draw your own thing you don’t have to pick a thing like I just want to drop planet and flags but I can’t do that. Also, I want there to be an option where you can basically auto complete a thing if you already know it and you could just do a task draw or a test to draw or you could practice to draw and if you are good enough, it will already complete it I really like SimplyDraw but I wish you could just skip some things

If I am going to be honest, I am not the best artist, but simply draw is making me better and it’s very entertaining and understanding it will ask you some questions at first to get to know us to make sure they know what we would want to create at first you may not understand it, but it is very fun and teaches me very fast If you think that an art teacher can teach you in like five minutes then you’re wrong because simply draw taught me in two minutes and I am becoming a better artist every second so that is my review on Simply Draw. Simply draw helps you learn about textures., shading, gosh, there's so much. They help a lot by giving you a couple of choices on pictures, and they show you what you like and what you don't like, well, like, they let you choose 3 pictures that you like, and then you can go and practice, you can choose to answer the first questions, and it makes you cute little own profile. And then it lets you choose a category to start on. I chose shading and animals, so you can in animals, there's pandas, giraffes, dogs, penguins, anything you can imagine. Probably I'm not far into it, but I love it absolutely love it, you need to get it.

So I am a kid and the one reason that I’m using this app to make my drone better now and growing up to be just like you simply draws human teacher not the robot listen is mine sound weird I’m still a kid doing it I don’t know I’m just using the voice thing I’m drawling Saturn and his beautiful rinks you wanna know why I’m saying his check out solar balls I’m sorry I’m a kid this is what these kids are talking about these days I don’t I am say that but is your favorite character in solar balls is earth please do you reply to this I don’t know if you can hi just doing what I can understand I’m just sad And yes like I said this is the and yes like I said this is good best time of my life and this is my first time writing a review and I love it

I think your app works really good. I recommend SimplyDraw to a lot of different people that love to draw nice job on SimplyDraw. You could really upgrade it though. I don’t really know how to so I really recommend this but you could upgrade, but I know that every time you think it’s good enough it can do one upgrade. I don’t know. I think it looks perfect to me, but that’s what my teacher always tell me. So try to upgrade it kind of basically that’s what I’m trying to say it’s probably a really good app. I definitely really recommend this. That’s gonna be my review or review Leah signing off. I downloaded a few weeks ago and have gone through the selecting process of what I would like to draw. I have completed the work for nature up to the advanced and the animals to textures. I also, chose to draw human figures in different ways. I have paid for the subscription and everything says coming soon. I make sure to update as often as is allowed and still I am waiting. I love SimplyDraw I didn’t know I had the talent to draw but always wanted to learn. I would like to know what do I do from here and how long will the wait be for the next segments to be finished. I expected to be able to move right along after paying for the subscription. Please advise. Thank you.

I downloaded SimplyDraw because i knew i needed help with drawing skills because, i love drawing/sketching because i find it peaceful! But my art work isnt great. I always make sketches of whatever comes up to mind. But if i find a picture i always make it how i like it to be. When i saw SimplyDraw i knew i would improve with my art skills. I love drawing nature and forest type of drawing so I chose that as what i wanted to practice on. I also chose on random face portraits. I started on by sketching with the different tones. I drew the tree trunk and im starting to approve with my first ever lesson! Im so happy i fond SimplyDraw and i will be using this forever and ever! Thank you guys for helping me so much i really appreciate it and im super duper grateful i found SimplyDraw.

When I first got SimplyDraw, I thought it was just showing you how to draw but it does WAY MORE. It gives you support and feedback with ai! It even lets you customize your artwork to fit your personality even more! I personally feel like SimplyDraw is amazing. There is just one thing im confused about- why can’t I do different pathways? (Ok ok I just passed essentials I on nature) also I really wanted to do animals since I’m already pretty good at them but I wanted to learn more like how to make fur ya know. But it’s still really good! ONE MORE THING: if you want to keep using SimplyDraw you have to pay $8.99 per month. You also unlock ai and other pathways. At least that’s what SimplyDraw said lol.

This game had me improving so much I started off with an acorn that did not look very realistic but after all the hard work mine drawings looked like it was gonna pop off the book the payment was totally worth it it’s like you have a personal art teacher that makes it so much funer and I love it when he did some silly mistakes i learned that not to give up is something very special for me and I liked when it stopped the video for time I never knew some shapes could make a masterpiece .

I like simply draw I I drew the cutest and my best panda out of all my years. But after one thing after one drawing you have to pay for the rest of the drawings and I am not buying 9.00$ per month just for a drawing. I mean it’s a great app but every drawing app I downloaded I to pay for it. Just for someone wanting to draw doesn’t mean that they have to pay $9.00 for a drawing each month. Some people may be Brooke or poor and just wanting to learn how to draw.i mean they need to stop with all this nonsense. So STOP paying for app pls!

SimplyDraw is amazing! The best part about it is that you can get better at drawing AND if you think your not so good, you’ll think your drawing should be in a art museum! I know, I know, I sound like I’m one of the people in the simply piano ads but it’s true! The only thing that I’m really mad about is the courses. I just heard about SimplyDraw today even though SimplyDraw came out like a year ago or something is what i heard. So I’ve read all the other reviews and I’ve seen that people have written that they could only take the nature course AND that when they did take the nature course they could only take the tree, the mushroom, the sailboat and the cabin. But they also said that this has been going on for a year so I would really appreciate if you fixed that! Thank you for reading!

Hey! It’s Kai. I really recommend SimplyDraw for those wanting to learn or wanting to improve their drawing skills! This had really taught me a lot, especially blending the different shades together! I’m still near the intro but this is really cool! It tells you so much important information about how draw, what to draw, and how you want to draw it! At first when you enter SimplyDraw , it gives you some questions to answer. For example, ‘How often do you draw?’ Or ‘Do you prefer digital art, or drawing on paper?’ (Digital art means drawing on Phone, Tablet, Computer, any type of electronic).

I really hope you enjoy this amazing app! Hopefully you will find it as amazing as I do too! Bye!!! ✨✨😄

I love SimplyDraw but waiting for the developers to open up the rest of the course. I chose the nature pathway and finished the first part. The artist instructor is very good with explaining and the illustrations are precise. I took many painting and drawing classes, but haven’t done anything with it for a long time, so I took this course to help stir up the creative side of me because I have some pretty amazing landscapes, architecture and other still life to produce. As well as relearning the posturing techniques used in full body poses of animals & human creatures.
I hope they will start up soon, I’ve been waiting for several weeks now…

Like most apps, there would be tons of ads, pay to learn most lessons, watch ads for lessons, etc, but SimplyDraw has none of those. I just finished my first lesson, the winter tree. But I honestly think landscapes are more my thing. I will soon start my 2nd lesson but i would want landscaping next. Im deciding to start with the winter tree, mushroom, daisy, and more. This is because the landscapes has more nature in it, so it would be good to learn how to draw nature then add a thing humans use. (House, boat, tent, and more.) I do agree simply draw makes creating art easier. I rated 5/5 because I mean it. SimplyDraw is perfect for a beginner artist. Thank you for reading!

One like you draw you like it and then you draw it again and then again and you can sell it but like this is definitely so good because when you draw it looks realistic when you shade and the mushroom sailboat cabin is good too and I also love the countryside but the only thing I don’t want is I like it because it’s still so good and when it’s drawling time I always get my pencil out same with the guidelines. I always draw it kind of hard but it’s still really good to draw.
