What ever we try to enter it just does not work. Great idea poor execution!

Handshake doesn’t work. It’s a good idea, but it doesn’t let you actually do anything because you need to “update” it but there’s no update’s available?

My girlfriend and I tried this and never got a match even though we were swiping right on the same movies. Also never heard of half these movies.

Loved the idea of it, but doesn’t work. Tried to start a game, so I could send a game code but you can’t start a game without a game code 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
I just don’t understand how to start a game, and when I try to set one up it glitches and either says “error occurred while retrieving game” or it won’t for example let you select a genre for movies so you can’t start your game. 1/10 stars. 1 star is only for the idea that would’ve been good if it even worked a little bit.

None of the games on Handshake even work.

Title says it all. App doesn’t function

I’m a smaller phone the intro wouldn’t let you start because it does not show the start button

It’s a great idea but no matter how many times I try, it keeps giving me an error. “Unable to fetch game data. Try again with another game.”

It’s not a well made app. It’s a great idea, but horribly executed. Kicked me out and wouldn’t let me back in. Stopped on the swiping screen and wouldn’t move. Wouldn’t Recommend

i really like the idea but it’s SO glitchy and needs to be fixed before it could become something people can integrate into their lives

Can’t create anything, can’t join anything. A pop up shows telling me I need to update but there’s no update available to download. Had the same issue in Apple and Samsung app.

It just does not work for the majority of time, we have to crate so many games until one finally worked. Then, it simply did not respected the categories we selected.

Good concept but every time you try to create a game and someone joins, it either just keeps loading or shows an error message saying to try again with a new game

After a long time We matched then got into an argument about the movie, and ended up playing among us

My fiancé and I have difficulty choosing a movie so we thought Handshake would be great. We are in our early 20’s and all Handshake did was reccomend movies that were from before we were born. So unless you are into older movies, I would suggest staying away unless you want to swipe for an eternity

It’s honestly a great concept but I was never able to connect with my partner, the server kept saying could retrieve data.

Handshake is a great idea, but it kept having issues with not loading on at least one players phone. With some work, Handshake could be great.

Handshake is a really good idea, but Handshake itself, it just won work. I chose specific movie categories and it shows movies off my selection. Handshake also have many bugs, which can sometimes make it slow. Its a really easy to use app, but it doesn’t work the way it should. A new update with many bug fixes should be released.

No way to see what you swipe right on (like) after game, only what you matched on. Now I don’t remember all the good movies I wanted to watch and can’t go back and see which ones I swiped right on.

Usually my girlfriend and I always end up getting the same handful of movies over and over again. We like rewatching movies and all, bug we rarely find anything new. Maybe that’s more of a movie problem than an app problem.

You’re missing Hulu.

I downloaded Handshake on my iPhone 8, it says to update Handshake to the newer version implying i have the "older" version, but my app store does not have an update for Handshake. Im on IOS 16.3 so i know its not my phone.

Very cool idea but in some cases Handshake will not prompt and sync to location services required to use Handshake . Developer needs to fix this asap Handshake is unplayable for some users I’ve attempted to play with.

Only thing I would change would be able to see the rating of movies. I don’t watch rated R so if that could be a filter or you could just see it while you’re swiping that would be great.

I like Handshake ! It works really well but it would be awesome when Hulu is also a option.

Really enjoy Handshake and its features, but the “it’s a match” panel with the buttons close to the swipe make it hard to keep the flow going. Maybe reposition them if you can, that would be helpful!!

Handshake would be amazing for people like me and my hubby or my mom who can’t ever figure out what she wants to eat! Only thing is it would be SO much better if we could edit or add restaurants. I saw a couple on here that didn’t exist in my city anymore and there’s a LOT of restaurants we have that weren’t even available on Handshake to be able to “swipe”.

Idea is great but app is buggy. When trying to create game on iPhone 12 Pro Max window “new version of Handshake is available” but just just was downloaded and have no updates now. “Verify Version Compatibility” button does not work.
On iPhone 14 pro max “Create game button” clicks only after several attempts without changing anything. So can’t use Handshake (

Handshake is awesome for couples or groups who have trouble deciding on things. my boyfriend and i used it to agree on a movie and a recipe for dinner!! the options are fun and it makes deciding a lot easier. we will definitely be using Handshake in the future :)

Just played around with Handshake so far, but it’s amazing! Works well and does exactly what it promises! More advertisement and this could be one of the post popular apps
