By the time it was out for only 3 days I’d beaten the event bosses, daily missions, and every mission in chapter one on both normal and hard. The dodging is a little funky and is only viable when you do one or two attacks at a time, which at that point you won’t be able to get any of the star bonuses for completing the level in 60s> at first I thought the leveling system was a little annoying but it’s already growing on me, I’m 5 away from max level with a character of mine and it seemed to take forever until I realized I had grown so much in so little time. It’s pretty buggy, but the foundation of the game is pretty solid to be honest. I feel like the game devs set an unrealistic deadline for the game’s release and didn’t want to postpone it a bunch, so instead they published an unfinished game that has much potential. Moral of the story, as updates come their way to the game, I think it’ll become super enjoyable, and maybe even extremely popular amongst Bandai’s games. That is all

This is the long awaited direction the series has been waiting to go! I’ve always believed SAO would best function in the gaming sphere as a PVP title and this introduces that concept to the series with a bang! It’s certainly a mobile title through and through and of course relies on the gacha for acquiring new characters, but all and all it’s not terrible. There are plenty of in-game ways to nab the currency you need for pulls, which is all we can really ask for (I’m looking at you Genshin Impact). Hopefully this game is the brands test for PVP titles and we can soon get a console title that operates the same. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm but Sword Art Online? I think YES.

The game has everything it needs to be successful. I’ve already done everything there is to do at the moment, so I’m waiting patiently for more content drops right now. I only have a few minor problems with the game at the moment. The controls still feel a little delayed when playing, and there’s no auto play for when you just want the game to grind for you. I think having an auto play button is something you guys should really look into adding. There are times where I’m doing other things and have a bunch of stamina to spare but no skip tickets. The only problem is that I don’t want to grind one level over and over as it gets kind of boring. Overall though I really enjoy this game and I’m looking forward to what y’all have in store for the future.

After level 30 ur character requires wayyyy too much xp to level up. For as rare as large xp is, a handful of them won’t boost even a level of ur in the 50s. Also in this event I have strong characters but this parry mechanic is horrible. The speed isn’t a problem but the reaction time is so very very very off. It’s to the point where I am now using 3 fingers on the screen and spamming in hopes the game will pick up my tapping. But it usually doesn’t and ruins my event run and I have to start all over. Again. The timing is cool. But not cool when it doesn’t work when I am literally spamming it with so much time to spare. Should I lower my resolution to make this mechanic more functional? Please update this horrible feature because quite frankily I should not be getting hit by any of these attacks.

I really want to like this game, I do. But there are MAJOR issues with the game. Numerous bugs, horrible combat mechanics, and a lack of characters. Even for an initial release, the game is mediocre at best. You can’t combo off dodges, basic attacks, and skills. You instead have to wait for the animation to end, which breaks the fluidity of combat. Major visual bugs make it almost impossible to play, and the lack of any other characters besides essentially Asuna, Leafa, and Kirito to begin with is really sad. If you plan to keep playing the game, save your crystals and your rolls and just spam until you get Kirito and Leafa in your tutorial roll. Just wait until we see if Bandai Namco adjusts how the gameplay flows and adds characters like Sinon, Alice, or any of the ALO versions of characters.

So I’m sure most of us were thinking it. It’s 2022, it would be sick if SAO actually happened (minus the death game aspect.) After waiting nearly the entire year this is what we waited for. Finally we have a game pretty similar to the game from the show, minus the friends and the fact that this is not in vr (I know I’m just as disappointed as you all are) but after playing for a few days and getting the feel for the game, it’s actually really fun. It might get boring after a while sadly considering the fact that it’s repetitive, but overall this game is pretty fun. So yes, if you love the idea of being a part of the game that started it all, SwordArtOnlineVS is for you.

Combat feels clunky, attacking frame locks but also isnt 1:1 so it doesnt feel natural to control.
Dodging is sporadic, sometimes it feels like character isnt responding due to poor post attack animations (standing still, but cant input commands)
Dodging also feels inconsistent for direction control, im holding forwards but it keeps dashing back
Most annoying then is auto enemy lock and camera lock. Both without any control in settings to turn on/off. Consistently locks onto the worst target. Very slow to retarget. I have to run away until all enemies are on screen. Would be much less of an issue if the camera didnt auto lock or we were able to zoom out (to select what target we want to lock on)

I don’t know if other people are having this problem but I pre ordered the game even thought it is free. I’m excited for it but I am having problems with getting passed one screen then it shows something about Twitter and then back to the home menu, I also closed SwordArtOnlineVS multiple times. So is there anything you can do to fix the issue.

This game is honestly great and the gaccha doesn’t seem to bad. The rates aren’t to bad and the animations are cool. However, the combat feels unfinished and lacking and at some points the fluidity between dodging and attacking just feels bad. You can attack twice and dodge, any more and you are locked in. Once you are locked in the enemies can just barrage you while you have no recovery options. The next big thing is the targeting system. It is pretty painful to try and switch targets to a priority especially when their are multiple enemies around you. I think if this game changed some of its combat aspects it would honestly be a great game and probably the best sao game out there.

Hello, First I like say this game deserve only 4 star but only if it wasn’t for the crash so I uninstall the game. I also like to say I really do like the game and love the design and the animation of this game. Also I like to point out before anyone say anything, I had plenty of space in my storage and I just recently upgrade my iPad to ios16.1. But the problem with this game is that IT KEEP SHUTTING DOWN ON ME !!!!! after so far and then you have to reopen it NOT COOL MAN !!!!!!!! Oh and one more thing I really like the graphic it is so clear and understandable to read everything in this game.

I know this game is fresh and doesn’t have the experience needed to be great… but that should not be an excuse for the difficulty level of the enemies as well as the gameplay aspects. Enemy AIs have no problem with pushing through staggering attacks while it takes us 10 seconds to recover from one of their attacks. In addition, the sensitivity is absolutely unacceptable as it constantly lags or is caught by the enemy attacks. Why do boss enemies get to spam their attacks while we struggle to land even one of our own? Also, a full limit broken type advantage character gets killed in one shot by a same level event boss… that just doesn’t make sense even with max stats and abilities equipped to the type advantage character.

Not enough to do in the game. Finished the quest on easy and hard. The story is 1 chapter currently. Not enough summon in the game either. Also the movement doesn’t feel smooth. I feel like I press a button to do something and takes a couple second to go through. Little disappointed thought would be more. Not many Monster to fight think maybe 5 different types at the most. I think this needed a longer development time feel not even half baked but just unfinished in a lot of areas. Download if you want something to do for an hour after that hour probably done everything the game has to offer currently.

I want to play but during the data download phase mine automatically skip to 75% and when it finishes it kicked me out the game and when I go back in I have to download some more. I did the download 5 times until it was complete, and once it was complete it constantly just kept showing me the the screen that explains in app purchases and then restarts the game and does the same thing not allowing me to play. I have deleted and reinstalled 2 times and the process is the same pls fix this problem so I can play, thank you. Once I can play the Eaton will change.

I’ve noticed a little changed in battle they become more difficult when they’re too high level. And reptitive spamming attack with same moves pattern. Nothing news. I got tired of playing Kirito clashing the many enemies to caught up everything and quickly level up. Terrible main story and have some episode it reach to the episode 5, no more further story. It’s pretty boring. I spent few moneys on Gacha and give me same SR cards I didn’t get special SSR cards. I’m disappointed. I feel like I’m been fooled into buying Gacha try get SSR cards. Gacha rate is all lies. Never play this game again. I don’t recommend. I know it can be repetitive battle and annoying enemies.

When I played this game on day one I couldn’t login but day 2 this game surprised me a lot I didn’t know a sao game could go to a mmo lvl I thought it was going to fail like that tales game
This game will run forever I feel it this Sao game is gonna be the one better than the rest I Play the unleash Blading and I was like I am done Sao untill till this blew my mind The skills the action the graphics wow banco y’all out done yourselfs have a good day banco

The game so far is so fun to play. The battle mechanics are simple yet great and the overall game mechanics are easy enough to understand. However, after about 10 minutes of playtime or gacha pull my game crashes 😰 I have a lot of storage space on my phone and my internet is relatively good so those aren’t the cause of the crashes. I hope this can be fixed somehow as I really want to enjoy the game without feeling annoyed and done with it after having 3 crashes in less than an hour. 😔😭

if you liked memory defrag or rising steel, you will probably like this. if not, you probably won’t. I happen to like those, so I enjoy it. It’s unique and that it is the first of the mobile exclusives to switch to 3-D. The content right now is bare bones, which I understand given it just released, but I am excited to see where it goes. I’ve given it four stars because there’s not a 3 1/2 star option, but I think it’s better than three stars.

Don't trust the people who but one star review and say the game doesn't load "it's bad". It a newly released game. Ofc there is going to be some bugs and issue. Nothing is every perfect. But, the game is actually really fun. For those who are considering weither to download or not. definitely download. It always help to try something new, and if u don't like it, u can just uninstall the game.🥴

So far it’s a really cool, fun app! Huge fan of SAO!!! However I’ve only had it for a couple of days now and it’s asking me to download the latest update version but when I go to do that it just says “open” app. Not “update” so I’m assuming it’s a bug or a glitch of some sort? Would really appreciate this being fixed!! Thank you!

This game is great and I am happy with it, my only concern/annoyance is the touch movement controls. Its too low and doesnt follow the uses touch.

The reason its annoying is I have big thumbs and the placement of the touch pad, makes dodging so much harder or makes dodges go the wrong way.

There's many games where the touch pad is dynamic and moves depending on the users touch area, rather than staying static in one area. Also the size of the touch pad in these games can also be adjusted. it would be great if these features were implemented.

Adding controller support would also be awesome, but I can see how it might make the game easier. Nevertheless, it would be a great added feature.

I enjoy this game so far, but this game is kinda new one so need some points to be fixed.
About action(game play): Good graphics, good difficulty, bad camera works(auto target is terrible), and bad variability.
This graphic and game systems are very good but, auto targeting is terrible if there are more than 3 or 4 enemies. It can be fixed any additional tap system. The worst point is that if you have Alice, it is very easy to beat all bosses…
About gacha and any other pay stuffs, only thing you should remember is that this game doesn’t have any redeemed system or maximum redeem system. If you get same characters after maximum rank, they will be in vain. Should be added any exchange system or cap for gacha.
However, if u love SAO, pls try it once! (You can enjoy without money for the most part!)

First off, the fighting mechanics are really sloppy/lazy. Dodging feels awful and poorly timed. The game puts too much emphasis on switching teammates to string higher dmg combos. Overall this game feels like a cheap port from console onto mobile. Oftentimes the game lags. The character models also look a bit wonky, especially in the face. And too many different units share identical character models, which is a known issue across SAO mobile games so don't be surprised if you encounter other problems in this game that were the same from their other games like SAOARS, SAOMD, SAOIF, etc. Bandai Scamco is a known lazy company that just replicates its character models and digital assets across many of their games. Hence nothing is truly new or exciting about this SAOVS game. It just feels like a lazy cashgrab. The story isn't even exciting, and feels lackluster overall. I recommend skipping this game, or if you're a dedicated fan of the franchise then try it out but don't expect to be wow'ed.

SAO:VS is a great game with tons of stuff to do. As a decently-experienced player, I can say that this is definitely a game that I enjoy playing when I have some spare time. The game has good graphics, cool cutscenes, great stories, and more. There's always a new active event to keep players immersed, which some games lack. Also, the game only came out half a year ago, and there's already this much content! I can't imagine what lies in the future updates for this game.

I’ve had this game installed for several months. Not one day has it worked. Sure, the game may start, but once I’m on the opening screen, it gives me info about the privacy policy, something about things possibly changing in-game, and a puzzle captcha, I guess. Once that’s done, I have the option to tap the screen to continue. However, it doesn’t continue. I find myself tapping a second and third time, wondering about what could’ve happened. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I’ve seen the reviews for this game and I genuinely want to play this. I just wish it would work. I was hoping this would just be a bug that you’d fix eventually, but in the several months that I’ve had this, no update fixed my problem. Please, someone, fix this.

I love this game it’s the best work you all could of put out great job ! I will continue to spend money on the game all I ask is that you all add a extra stage to the gold, exp, and material missions I love to horde materials……just an extra stage to each would be lovely like a level 75 stage for exp is a example. Thanks hope you all put this in effect.

P.s can you all add some more paid gems in the game and a new battle pass would be epic
