Day 1 of my baby being home I started using BearCare - worst decision so far as a new parent. It wouldn’t register my subscription plan and kept asking me to reselect it when I tried to log. I thought it was just a trial glitch. Now that it’s a new day, I went back to look at yesterday’s log and it’s all gone!! It’s showing yesterday’s date as today’s day of the week and has reset to no logs. This terrible app doesn’t even have the correct calendar. I’m so annoyed and frustrated. Seems BearCare is closely named to a way better app (called just Baby Tracker) and this one intends to bamboozle new exhausted moms like me into thinking this was BearCare recommended by a friend. Glad I at least figured this out before the trial period was over.

This is not thoughtful to have that cell to fill. How should I know how many the baby ate if I am nursing he/she. Not good app.

BearCare won’t let multiple people input information

Force you to pay, when I used another app that does the same thing for free! Disappointed

BearCare is exactly what I wanted but omg sooooooo pushy with asking to rate them it I teetered with the use of BearCare and stopped storing some of my info.

Not able to back log after the day is over. No progress charts.

“In app purchases” usually means there’s a function you won’t get. Fine. I wanted a simple way to track feedings and diapers. BearCare can do more. After 2-3 days of use I’m not blocked from seeing information on my daughters first days of life. As I sit to nurse her I wanted to check where I left off- nope. No access to my information just an add to purchase before I can continue. I hate that. Be upfront that it costs money to use all the features.

This is easy to log and track throughout the day. Some improvements that need to be made: allow editing of previous entries, get rid of feature requiring the notes section to be filled in to save, and include feeding totals (as in ounces per day) at the top instead of number of feeds. I don’t care if my kid has fed x amount of times. It’s more about ounces for me and I’d rather see that number than have to count it up myself 🤷🏼‍♀️.

A couple of things:

If you’re a nursing mom, you can’t know how many ounces of breast milk they are getting. So that requirement to log is an estimation at best. 2 oz, 10 oz… who knows? I’d also like the option to select right breast, left breast, or both. It would help me keep track.

Also, PLEASE make it possible to log when the sleep starts without having to simultaneously log when it ends. I am tired and I can’t keep the start information reliably in my brain for the duration of baby’s sleep period. I’d like to add when she went down then return to add when she woke up.

Do those things and there would be no competition. I’ve tried them all and BearCare is very near perfect for new parent needs.

I wish it let me track sleep with when it started and add when it ends later. It only allow you to track after the full nap is taken which is hard to remember. I use another app for my 2 year old that allows me to put the time he fell asleep then come back and add when he wakes up.

Very helpful and handy but needs more improvement for user friendly
