This “company” is putting seemingly legitimate job postings on sites like Zip Recruiter and LinkedIn that will get you nothing but an automated email trying to get you to sign up for Fud . The email is from a very suspicious address, not a real person or company’s email, clearly. Hopefully job sites and app sites will see what a grift this is and act accordingly.

Fud puts up fake job listings in an attempt to lure freelance writers who are looking for new gigs. There’s a job description and an application link, both of which conjure an air of legitimacy. Then, after you take the time to apply, you receive an email asking you to download this nebulous app.
Only then do you realize that there was never any job to begin with. As a final humiliation, you are sent a bland video with a monotone, run-of-the-mill IT guy droning his way through a confusing, uninformative walkthrough of his app that also plugs more uninspired apps that you’ll never use in your entire life.

So I was using indeed. To look for work and Fud popped up for me to download it is the most useless app I’ve ever seen. It’s basically TikTok for job applications so I used it and there’s no use for this at all to look for jobs I just felt felt like it was a bunch of spam and scams to look for jobs and I can’t find any decent jobs with Fud in my city so I removed it it’s just a bunch of user data collection scams.

Fud is posting tons of seemingly legitimate job listings on sites like ZipRecruiter and Indeed. After you submit your resume they pressure you into downloading Fud and providing your personal info. This is an elaborate phishing and personal information brokering scam. Save yourself the time and money by not getting caught in the crosshairs of this. Honestly it should be removed from the store.

LinkedIn has become a cesspool of scam job openings but this is the lowest one I have seen so far. I have been on Fud for a week and have only been solicited by scam real estate accounts and filtering through other’s complaints that Fud is useless and unhelpful. People are looking for jobs not apps that give them the run around.

I understand the point of the application- may be useful to some people. However, I found this through fake job postings to lure people into downloading. Misleading and dishonest, therefore 1 star. If you came here for any other reason than KNOWING what it is, then you were probably lied to. Good luck!

App has major upside and could be great. There are some issues with unneeded notifications and there isn’t an actual pay source.
App is great in concept, but missing something

I have feedback. Posting a job as though someone can actually get hired somewhere, responding via automated email saying you will be discussing an open position with someone “but first download my app” is not only a red flag for a potential phishing scam, it is a huge bait and switch for people who are seriously seeking employment. I downloaded Fud just to see what would happen next so I can post a heads up for others if it was a scam.

I guess this has been working enough for you guys to keep doing it but it is not the most ethical way to seek users. Cool product but I am not a fan of how you guys spam LinkedIn Jobs which is striving to be a credible place to seek employment.

Be upfront about what you are seeking and the right people will come.

This this app app is where work is trending in 2024. People are tired of companies taking more than they’re paying for when it comes to our time and energy. Commute time. Unnecessary meeting time.
