You can see my initial review below, when they demanded a review only a few minutes into the game in exchange for rewards.
After playing a bit more, the forced ads do ramp up, but slowly, so it’s not too terrible. But the ads that you choose to watch become more and more obligatory—make a choice where two options are obviously terrible and the third requires watching an ads; watch an ad for nearly 10 hours worth of income right after the stuff you need to buy to advance has gone up by almost 1000% instead of about 50% so you need that income; etc.
That still wouldn’t be so bad, but more than half the time, when you watch the ad, you don’t get the rewards; the game freezes with a spinner popup that never goes away, so you have to kill and relaunch the game, at which point you’re back to before you watched the ad. The third time I tried to pick up and play the game for a few minutes during a break and ended up having to watch a 90-second ad, kill IdleGuy , relaunch it, and watch another ad to progress, I decided that I know the game well enough to rate it. My initial guess of 2 stars was right on the money.
I get the feeling that the game is going to ramp up either the forced ads, or the waiting that you have to pay to skip. So far, it’s not too bad—but that’s after only a few minutes. The fact that they want to reward me for rating the game this early, before I’ve gotten a chance to find out if it’s any good, is not a good sign. Hey, if it is a decent game, I’ll come back and increase the rating later. But at this point I’m guessing it’s 2 stars at best.
