Please keep the Latter Day Saint app too!

So many things to say. The Book Of Mormon videos didn’t work. I don’t like the format of General Conference. You don’t know what conference they are from. They aren’t marked as which sessions they are. The old Latter Day Saint app was perfect for us old folks. Maybe if you fixed some of these things it would be better.

Awesome app!!

Tried GospelStream out over the weekend. Live events played well and I enjoyed the on demand content! Uplifting messages all around.

iOS 16.0 or later excludes me from using the app

I can’t use GospelStream on my iPhone because I don’t have a newer iPhone. How many people are going to be affected like me? Retirement of Saints Channel and not being able to download Gospel Streaming will leave many members wondering what options they have for current content from the Church. Thanks for addressing this question.

Good, but …

Well, I love that we can get a bunch of different gospel related media, we cannot get a tabernacle choir lifestream like we used to on the Saints channel. When will you be able to get this?

Efficient

A meaningful step forward in efficient UI

24th

Great app for watching church media.

Very much needed app

5 stars for how excited I am. Yeah the church is sometimes slow to the market, but when they get there they get it right.

General conference has always been way too difficult for me to find. Having to often resort to YouTube, it seemed unconsolidated, and I wondered if that friction ever prevented people from watching.
Also, as a father of 2 young girls, I love the idea of having a safe place for us to stay up to date with Church sponsored news, messages, and content.
Thank you!

Awesome

GospelStream is so great. There was a lot of time spent on ease of use and functionality. I’m so excited about watching these videos with my family.

So far not impressed

Retired one garbage app for another garbage app. I’ll give it another chance but right now it won’t load anything whatsoever. At least it’s not lying. Saints Channel would list things but would fail to play them. This one just doesn’t load anything. Tried on the Apple TV and my iPhone. Both running iOS 17.

No automobile interface

According to autoevolution.com, *98%* of new cars come with CarPlay and Android Auto. C’mon, man! How could you not add automobile interfaces? Using your phone to select content to play through the car speakers is more distracting and less safe than a native interface. PLEASE add CarPlay/Android Auto!!

Not working on my iPhone 13 Pro .

I don't like giving it a star rating at this point. It sounds like it's working nicely for some people so it's five star for them and we at least know it works on some devices,

GospelStream is not working on my iPhone 13 Pro. Even if I download the video, I just get a black screen with a play button that has a line through it.

I am on Xfinity Wi-Fi with between 500 MB per second and one gigabyte. I hope the fixes come soon. It's a great idea!

Needs audio-only stream

It works fine for streaming videos but please add back the audio only streaming option like the Saints Channel had. This would be good for streaming things like general conference while driving to avoid wasting data on the video feed that you won’t be watching.

Great App

Great app. Love having everything in one place. Watching conference on it now!

By

Love it but I do have a suggestion!

I was wondering if there was a way for GospelStream to play while the screen can be turned off, (even with live) Like how Spotify works. It would be for people on the go. For example, I have to move today but conference is today. To save some battery life while on the road and itd be nice to have to not worry about the screen; to allow turning off the phone and allowing it to play as a background app.

Otherwise no complaints so far! Excited to see how its first live experience will go!

It just works

UI is clear, available on all my devices, downloading to my iPhone couldn’t be easier. GospelStream nails it!

Please bring back the radio option!!!

No radio option! The podcast and radio option was so great. Please bring that back. It was so nice to have it at a click of a button. I was exposed to so many lds artists from the saints channels music channel. It was such a lifeline for me. And I’m in my thirties. It seems GospelStream is channeled toward youth age. So please bring back the radio and podcast option. It was so good.

Smooth and Simple

Never knew about GospelStream until now. It’s pretty good. The UI is simple. Videos load and play quickly. I enjoy the various sizes to choose from for downloading. Haven’t tried a livestream yet and will amend this review if anything changes. But everything feels and looks good so far.

Need the radio option

Please add the radio option to GospelStream. I would rather listen to the radio than watch videos. With the latter day channel at least I had a choice. I’m so disappointed. I guess I will have to find something else to listen to. The program “Perspective” was my favorite. Oldies but goodies.

Need to add ability to trim

With Media going away, I need the capability to trim videos for lessons. All of the content on GospelStream is available other places too. Please add features that are needed to replace Media.

Slow, hard to navigate, does NOT represent the church well.

So shocking to no one, the church has put out yet another terrible app, and deleted the up that previously worked, not well, but better than this one.

Not to worry though, because GospelStream in no way represents the Church of Jesus Christ of Later day Saints. Rather it looks like some crummy app from some random person trying to make money off of Christians. At least GospelStream does not cost anything. I keep waiting for commercials to show up on everything.

Nevertheless, fortunately for all it is fiercely slow and arduous to navigate. Once I finally found the thing I wanted it took two minutes to spin up the conference talk. (This last conference.)

I encourage you to start outsourcing GospelStream creation. For some reason the church has little capacity to hire people with vision and creativity. Folks might say “but so many people use them.” To which I would respond ‘what other choice do we have?”

This is strict terrible app.

Google Cast

It would be nice if google Cast was added.

Just wondering

The age says 4+. Does that mean that four year olds will be able to do this while we technologically challenged older folks will have trouble with it?

By

Please add Music Streams

Pretty please with sugar in top!

By

Missing the radio.

I mis the radio music! I love playing the music channel especially at Christmas! The Saints channel did an amazing job!

I miss the talk radio portion, interviews, enduring it well series.

Oh! Please add the radio channel!’please please. Please.

Is anyone at the church tech department in-tune?

I have been a youth SS teacher for 6 years now. I used the Media app EVERY lesson. Downloaded videos, photos, music, etc and with a cord, could show everything on a large tv from my iPad to my class. It worked every time. My building is old and has lousy WiFi, I have to download my content before I go to church. I was eager to start this New Year, only to find my Media app no longer works! Grit my teeth and downloaded the new gospel stream to my iPad. Tried to download a video for next weeks lesson and it won’t download. I am now in tears and wondering how a church that believes in divine revelation could do this to a diligent SS teacher. Please bring back all the features and capabilities of the media app. and bring joy to my life again.

Unfortunately doesn’t seem to be better than the previous app

Missing the radio stations unfortunately. My iphone 14 runs unusually hot streaming videos with GospelStream. I don’t see myself utilizing GospelStream regularly like the old one.

By

Beautiful app but….

Why isn’t their an easy way to find the Book of Mormon videos? Why aren’t the Testament and Legacy movies available for family movies? It doesn’t seem very organized.

By

Missing features

Please bring back the following features that were so beneficial in the Gospel Media App:
1) Trimming- This was so useful! I loved being able to quickly play shorter clips from longer videos, especially conference talks. It’s so much more impactful to be able to share instantly instead of trying to fumble around to find the portion you wanted to share.
2) create presentations/playlists—I loved the ability to categorize the videos I was saving by topic or lesson. It kept me more organized.
3) create a login to be able to save videos and access them between devices—this was a great feature. If I do all the work to save my videos to my iPad, but for some reason when it’s go-time it doesn’t work. It would be great to be able to switch over to my phone and go to my saved presentation (see #2) and have them all there in the same place without having to search.

If you’re going to bring out a new app to replace a good app, please make it better, not worse.

Apple TV 24/7 Radio issue

While streaming the 24/7 Radio on my Apple TV the screen saver comes on and then eventually the TV shuts off. It would be nice if the stream would prevent the screensaver from coming on like the old Saints app.

By

Confusing

The previous media app was great. It had images and videos all together and was easy to save, download, and find where the downloaded items were. As far as I can tell, the Gospel Stream app only has videos. I can’t find any still images at all. For those of us who are not tech savvy, it feels like things are changed so quickly that by the time we figure it out, GospelStream has been changed to something new and more confusing. Just keep in mind those of us who are more on the tech illiterate side of things when you’re developing these apps.

Slow, buggy

I use GospelStream on an Apple TV 4K. GospelStream is slow and buggy. One huge annoyance: GospelStream doesn’t remember your spot in videos. If I’m re-watching a 2hr session of conference, every time I come back to it I have to scroll through and try to find where I left off. Please add a “continue where I left off” or “play from beginning” option.

Request: make a stream of randomized music & talks

Hello, I am looking for an place that streams a combination of music & General Conference talks. I’d love for them to be randomized and for it to play 2-4 songs between each talk. It would be amazing if the talks went back 30+ years. The music can be the Tabernacle choir along with other inspiring music. Do you know if this already exists somewhere or if you can provide it here?

Thanks!!
