Went out with four coworkers and pulled the app out when the check came. The other three glanced at each other awkwardly and one said they assumed we were going to just split the bill four ways. I explained that I had only one drink while two of the others had two drinks (additional tax), one of colleagues ordered a starter, my meal (vegetarian) was several dollars cheaper than the others, and wouldn’t it be more equitable if everyone selected what they’d ordered off the receipt and then Venmo’d me what they’d ordered?

Needless to say, the app worked, but I haven’t been invited out for dinner and drinks in a month. Buyer beware.

I love this idea and it definitely works well. The only thing that is annoying is I want to be able to just spit the bill on MY end without having to invite people. I picked up the bill at a restaurant and days later my friends reminded me to charge them. I remember exactly what everyone got and partook in and want to be able to just assign the items to my friends quickly on my end just to calculate what they owe me, but i HAVE to invite my friends to the bill in order to do that? I just want there to be a way to skip the invite step and be able to use the split function to avoid the awkwardness of sending my friends an app invite just to do the calculations

This app is so effective at splitting the bills on the spot. It is a game changer when you have someone willing to front the bill and don’t have to inconvenience the wait staff. You just scan the QR card mark what you had and you’ll be taken straight to the frontera Venmo or Cash App. The Developers also clearly care about making sure this app runs as smoothly as possibly. I ran into some bugs, messaged them on Instagram, and they fixed it within 10 minutes.
