Ads are ruining this game

I’m very used to playing a game with ads and I don’t even mind letting them play out, especially when I comes to playing an add to restart, get some ‘undo’ benefits, or even a tiny bottle. However, what is really irritating me is that the ads do not play. There is nothing but a black screen, occasionally a mute button, and sometimes a banner of what the ad should be. Sometimes, there will be a progress bar at the bottom. I’ve waited for this bar to run its course and nothing shows up to close the ad.
This needs to be fixed. I’m tired of having to close the game, lose my progress, and have to start over again in the hopes I can remember the steps I have taken and that the next time I need something that requires an ad, it might work.
Play on Airplane Mode

Only bearable to play on airplane mode to avoid ads. Played for about 30min and will be deleting because it was so frustrating. The ads lasted 3-5x longer than it took me to get through a level and I had to go through three different screens in order to get them to go away. Airplane mode fixed the issue, but I don’t want to risk missing important notifications because of the stupidity of developers making it impossible to actually play the game I have downloaded without being force-fed ads for inane apps.
Update issue

I used to love this game. I play it when I’m rocking my nanny kid to sleep. I have to play white noise on my phone(Spotify/pandora) and then I wouldn’t launch the app. I’m not sure if it is due to the last update or the face that I bought the upgraded version, but I can no longer run music apps and play at the same time. The second I launch water sort, it cuts whatever music is playing. I’ve read all help articles and toggled all the setting(even though I never touched anything to begin with). Super frustrating, as for me, I can’t play anymore.
