Covenant Eyes says on their website “The Covenant Eyes app captures a screenshot on your device at least once per minute.”
This is not true. Victory is downloaded and VPN is on and it does not screenshot once per minute. If that was the case then we wouldn’t have gaps in screenshots captured. We started to notice that what was being searched for was not showing up in the activity feed. We have called support numerous times only to be finally told that it screenshots at random and not as advertised. We are using this product to block porn but to also hold what is being looked at, non explicit content wise, accountable. Porn is a big issue but other non explicit content like bikini photos can still be searched and if a screenshot is not being taken once per minute to capture what is being searched, then this product is not effective because the non explicit content can still be viewed undedcted. Very disappointed that this product is being advertised for something it doesn’t actually do.

I just found accounts on my husbands phone. Opened them, took video and pictures of these accounts. And later sent them to him in text messages to prove what I’d found. Victory cannot tract anything but web use. Well my friends there are TONS of apps that have plenty of content and private messaging. This morning after KNOWING there was opened photos and text messages with these images in then... I was still sent a “Green check Mark-We didn’t detect any potentially concerning events” today! It’s FALSE HOPE and a FAKE SENSE OF SECURITY! I didn’t buy into it from day one… the God of wisdom and discernment will guide you. Trust your institutions!!! Period.

Victory , for some reason, does not remember your login info or allow you to stay logged in. That’s one thing, and that would be enough for just a message or a report submitted through Victory . My friend entrusted me to watch their activity through Victory as they tried to quit. However, the notification function does not notify me when concerning events transpire. I have checked app and software settings. I will get caught up in the day to day, and completely forget about the whole thing, only to come back and find uninstalls. This is contrary to the entire purpose of Victory , and seemingly the “Covenant” part of the name. PLEASE fix this.

Overall, good resource. One big complaint: It’s ridiculous that I have to have two separate accounts to be an accountability mentor for more than one person. I shouldn’t have to log in and log out multiple times to check on these guys with something this important. I should receive notifications for as many guys as need me and should be able to log in once and see how they’re all doing. Please fix this. Thanks.

I get pegged over images that are clearly safe. Although pixelated, the image was clearly a man wearing a shirt and tie. I called customer support about this. I was told that the software for Covenant Eyes will flag images where the screen sees 2/3rds flesh tone. Really? At least the image wasn't pixelated enough so that my two accountability partners couldn't tell that it was a man with a tie. Can't we do better than this?

I think they should not require you to log in everytime when using Victory . Thats what happens to me. My alley has my login info so I dont delete the software, I think the developers should implement a separate pin for Victory login, I would assume they have it this way for other ppl not seeing the content in Victory thats is not the original user; but again, the pin could solve that problem.

I installed this app and signed up to be an Ally. Victory seemed duplicate of the web page, and offered a 7 Day Free Trial. I received an email invite from my friend, created an account and logged in. I went through the intro training. I clicked on the link: View Activity in this app App. This took me to this app App and the first screen is Start a 7 day free trial, yet it also states I can Ally without paying. It just feels like a bait and switch scheme.

Update: Victory login had not synced with the web login. After proper log-in, the 7 day trial message went away.

Overall I would say this is a good app that monitors the web. However it doesn’t monitor apps which is the only downfall I see. Recently tho I’ve been having an error pop up and can’t get into the this app app to see activity nor is the website link working on any device I type it into. Probably a technical issue on the apps end but it makes it hard to keep live track of my partners online use.

Victory offers some of the greatest accountability I’ve experienced in my life, and the opportunity to have a partner go on the journey with you is incredibly useful.

I would love to see a form of accountability for apps, as some of the biggest problems we face in the modern day is things such as Instagram and Snapchat.

Victory has some really great articles on helping understand the issue of pornography and how to work through it. You can also see a feed of screenshots that are regularly updated from the Covenant Eyes monitoring app.

Time to get serious and with vigilance conquer this quagmire that I’m stuck in for years. One of the steps to accomplish that is to install the Covenant Eyes software on all my devices. I need that protection. I need the this app app to learn what error has been formed by me in my life. I need the truth!

They’re very easy to navigate and have subtle ways to check in on the person you’re keeping accountable. As a wife, I love how it will alert me if there’s something the system catches for me to check in with my husband or even send little reminders to check in with his web searches. It’s thorough and informative. I like this one:)

I switched to covenant eyes after years of ever accountable. When EA updated to a safari extension there were connection issues galore but covenant eyes sets the standard. Highly recommend. The only drawback, it’s not compatible with Chromebook, hopefully that will change but other than that stellar!

I appreciate the hard work that went into this and that I didn’t have to pay for it when I’m using it just to be an ally. The articles/training modules are concise and well written; I look forward to downtime to continue reading them. They’re very helpful in knowing how to respond to be an effective, compassionate ally. Heard about this on a sermon for a Men’s Discipleship class. It takes screens shots of anything you’re looking up, It doesn’t even have to be explicit. My Pastor is my accountability partner, so knowing my Pastor can see what I’m looking at already keeps me in line. Since I’ve downloaded Victory, I’ve been free from looking at porn. Adding to this, you have to discipline your prayer life and what you look at outside Victory . Tik tok, twitter, Instagram, Facebook, have all kinds of things that can come across explicit things. One of the things my Pastor said, “the best filter you can have is yourself.” So my brother and sisters in Christ that are struggling, keep fighting the good fight and flee from it like Joseph did from Potepher’s wife. Look at sin, the same way God looks at it. God bless

I’ve been on this journey with covenant eyes for awhile and never used the this app app. I should have though because it’s really informative and helpful. Only thing that I can think to add that would improve it would be to have some kind of marker to let you know to scroll down to see there is more text to read on the courses. Great app though and thankful for it!

Such an amazing app to have on your phone. I’ve had it for over a year now. I have it on mine and all my family’s devices. It comes in clutch! My brother especially appreciates Victory, as he’s going through his own journey of healing and escaping his old habits that only led to self destruction. Victory has been heaven sent, to say the least.

Bringing God's kingdom to earth sometimes looks like bringing his rule to bear through systems we put in place. This is a great example of that.

I love the teaching section of Victory , too. Before booting it up I'd heard a lot of advice about quitting porn, but never anything about its relationship to my inner child, for example. You can't quit if your heart isn't in it or your mind doesn't understand what's going on!

There are still bugs (following the link to write a review caused Victory to close, for example) and there are still loopholes, but this is overall a very professional piece of software for a Christian company (that might have less resources than a secular one).

This is not the first app I’ve used before but I’ve got to say is the best one I’ve enjoyed this, the platform is so great. The Content is so good. And the challenges are so helpful. Praise be to God for this kind of ministry, and the impact that Victory is doing on the lives of many.
