Detroit Free Press Marathon Reviews

I have been following my father run the Detroit marathon for years; this is a HUGE improvement over previous years. Maybe next year have it available sooner.

Really nice to be able to follow other runners that I know and have all my stats and photos in one place.

DetroitFreePressMarathon allowed us to follow three racers we had come to see, all at the same time. It was super intuitive and easy to use! Fantastic!

I was pleasantly surprised by DetroitFreePressMarathon. I was expecting something quickly put together that gave only basic information, but that’s not what DetroitFreePressMarathon is. There is a ton of information that is accessible to participants or those who may wish to follow you. Split times, location, pictures, it’s all in there. For those who are more security conscious it would be nice if there was an option to request that tracking via DetroitFreePressMarathon be disabled. Perhaps this is an option, but I didn’t see it. I really enjoyed getting DetroitFreePressMarathon updates on my watch as I ran because it was a truer representation of where I was on the course than my GPS running app because it could use the bib split stations. Very well done, DetroitFreePressMarathon really added to the experience in a positive way.
