The profiles were a turning point in my exploration. As I finished each section, I realized that these profiles aren't just humorous creations, but creative challenges. I thought about how one must balance the seriousness of the subject with the lightheartedness of BookyCall 's approach. The profiles meet that challenge gracefully, and, while not always humorous due to the topics, I still find myself engaged and interested.

Saw this was a thing from a post in a group on Facebook. I saw there there were people saying it was glitchy. But I downloaded it anyway hoping that the glitches were maybe their phone. The loading is very slow, if anything loads at all. I have my phone open and loading for 15 minutes and nothing showed. I was unable to set up any preferences and wasn’t even totally sure I was signed up. This is an amazing idea and I’ll keep BookyCall in hopes there is an update and everything smooths out for it.

Great idea and something I’ve been looking for for a while however the execution isn’t quite there. Why not start by having the user input books they’ve read and enjoyed as well as books they’ve read and not enjoyed and use an algorithm such as knn to being making recommendations and allow to learn over time based on user input. Isn’t that how all the big guns make recommendations that work?
If there’s a way to do this already, I haven’t found it and I’m more than happy to edit this review if it’s there and I haven’t seen it.

Within minutes of opening BookyCall it served me up books based on my input that I never heard but I feel are a perfect match.
I’ll never go anywhere else to discover new books and authors that I want to learn from!
This is a must app for all those looking to expand their growth mindset!!

BookyCall is super cute and a fun way to search for new books. However, browsing books for things I’ve read to let BookyCall know I liked them (or not) returns zero results. I was hoping to seed an algorithm so it would suggest books based on my reading history. But that’s a no go.
And swiping through, the suggestions are all for genres I’ve said I’m uninterested in. It appears the available books are extremely limited. So BookyCall is too new for me to use or recommend.

I love reading, but I don’t have time to look through hundreds of Amazon & Goodreads reviews to find a book I’ll like. I also don’t have time to partial start a book, only to find I don’t like it!! The “dating profiles” in BookyCall give me a detailed overview of what the book is really about in a few minutes. If I like the book, I can swipe right and purchase the physical book, audio book, or ebook right from BookyCall . Done and done! There are SO many awesome books that I would’ve never heard of if it wasn’t for Booky Call! My reading list is full!
