Beat Duel - Music Battle Reviews

I’m an avid Friday Night Funkin gamer, and I can safely say this is one of the best made games in the music category. However, there is a bug in the game. I do not have the premium version of the game, so I unlock all my songs via ads. But after unlocking 5-6 songs, this function stops working and I’m forced to try and repeatedly press the button until it works. This keeps repeating every time I open BeatDuel . If you could look into this, that would mean the world to me! Also, if you’re looking for mod ideas, Vs. Bob and Bosip is a super awesome mod with tons of difficulties and characters(I am not the mod creator, btw) so it would be awesome if you could try and add that in as well. Anyways, you’re doing a super job on this game, and I can’t wait for what is going to be added next! Also, one life makes this really hard, and I liked the old setup with five lives instead, where I don’t die instantly and repeatedly. This is annoying after awhile, and not the best addition to the game.

The game is very fun and addicting. I play nonstop almost everyday, 24/7 (I might’ve over exaggerating there a bit)! I do wish for the game to include playing with only one player because my fingers get very tired and it does leave a sting. Many mods do have them, but certain ones don’t. Another thing is the lives while playing a mod. It does kill me when there 1 life for every mod (like literally kills me). I know some need some kind of skill or something like that to play, but I do wish for more lives on certain difficulties; I’d recommend Easy with 3-4 lives, 2-3 lives for Normal and/or Hard, and finally for Expert and Insane with 1-2 lives. This way, it’ll get me and many more players to reach a specific checkpoint (of the three in each mod) without every mod being on one life. Now it might be that BeatDuel isn’t working for me, but there is probably a small bug. When I open BeatDuel , it obviously shows the loading screen, then it freezes for about a second and starts loading again, but then closes BeatDuel (Again, not sure if it’s my phone lagging or BeatDuel , probably due to low signal I receive). All I ask for is if you can add more lives to certain mods and/or difficulties? It would mean a lot and make the game much more awesome!

I like rhythm games, I’m always up for an occasional challenge. But this game should be removed from BeatDuel Store. Not just this game, but many other ripoff games whose devs literally steal content and ideas from others and give it a bad title. Beat Battle? Come on! What’s next, Guitar Saver? You are ripping off content from Ninjamuffin99, PhantomArcade, KawaiSprite, and evilsk8r, also known as the ORIGINAL DEVELOPERS of Friday Night Funkin. Now I understand that developers find something popular along a certain age and run to it like it’s their last day on earth to steal it, like Poppy’s playtime, FNF, Among us, etc. but its not right. You’re making money off of little kids by shoving ads in their face every single level. And on to the actual game itself.. the gameplay is horrible. You have to go watch a 30 second long ad for short gameplay, and if you manage to make it through the unbearable lag and difficult hit boxes, you need to watch ANOTHER ad. If you use all of your lives, you need to watch an ad to revive. But the worst part is, you can’t even play the levels without watching an ad. I have yet to seen a single level that doesn’t need an ad. I don’t care if it’s choppy, I just want to see this developer not shove ads in your face in every. Single. Level.

There’s my little contribution, destined to get ignored by the “developers.” But if this helps at least one person, fine. I’ll take it.

I love to play this game, it’s very enjoyable, it’s quite addicting. It is so fun to play, I play off and on. But here’s the issue, my first problem, on the insane modes it used to give you 4 hearts and some easier levels had 5 hearts, back then I wished you give us 5 hearts on the insane modes, and you did but now you made it 1 heart on hard mode and insane mode, and on normal mode 2 hearts, which I’m not really happy with, like I know your trying to make it harder but please add back the hearts. Like I understand the V.I.P pass that you got to get for extra health but like..why? I was literally so happy that you added the extra hearts to the insane modes, now it’s one heart, and I don’t want to watch a 30 second add just to get one heart back. Second issue is the adds, it is a bit much just to play one level, like to even play one battle it takes an add, and to see your score ALSO takes a add. Like considering how many battles there are, that is a bit much.

Those are my only problems, overall this is a very well made game. Considering all the other poorly made versions of FNF this has’t to be the number one best. And thank you for putting effort into the game. Keep up the good work!

I’ve seen this game going around and it’s been getting a lot of popularity and for the most part I actually think that’s a very enjoyable and fun music game to play I really like it and I like how they kind of use like main stream Memes in it too BUT, there are so many ads it’s distracting from the game. And I’m not one to be overly angry about ads in fact a lot of other games I play have ads in them as well but not like this. Every time I click a game I have to watch an ad and sometimes it doesn’t load through so I’m watching three different ads just to play one song. And then when the song is over and gives me another ad to watch. When I open BeatDuel there is an ad i have to watch.

Also the game is so glitchy it is so laggy it doesn’t hit my nose when I hit them and I keep dying over and over because of it. At one point it even glitched when it was counting down and kept saying “Two, One!!” over and over and over I had to close out of BeatDuel entirely. I’m no longer going to continue to try to play this and I won’t be revisiting BeatDuel until you fix the ads and you fix the lag. The PC version is 10 times better than this.

Ok let’s start this up the game is all around fun sure a few lag spikes but still atleast it doesn’t make you die lol. But my one problem is that one of my friends on insane songs he has three lives but if I go on insane I only have two lives and my brother has 1 can you fix it plz. One more thing add more mods we only have a few so yea very fun and good game with smol problems!!! 😀👍 New problems (same one but is making me more annoyed) We need some more mods not just one or two songs but at least half of the songs in the mods so yea more mods plz and thank u! Ok I know I said make the lives the same I didn’t mean make us have 1 life now I can’t enjoy certain songs like Challenge-EDD end version the song is difficult so that means I die near the beginning and it’s my fav mod song and it makes me sad so plz let us have more lives 🥺

Now, I understand how some people put some ads into their game to help with money. But I was reading others before this and they all complained, "TOO MANY ADS." Which, I agree on that.

Another this is how unoptimised the game is. Same thing with the hitboxes. On the iPhone 11(the phone I'm using) they are way too small, I have spent several minutes watching ads because of either lag spikes or hitboxes being stupid.

And last thing, some feedback on how to make the game better. One main thing is to remove some of the ads that show, it may make you money.. But it's only going to make people run away from it, making less than there would be with very little. Another is trying to optimise the game. It is very annoying to have a random lag spike, and unlike actual fnf mods, the game doesn't just pause the music on the lag spikes, making it very hard to play. Last thing, fixing the hit boxes. I don't know how you guys want to fix them, but one way is by spreading them out a bit and making the hitboxes larger, or just make them square while the sprite is a circle.

Animation, good. Music, good. Game play, get some help, please. Its all copied from the original in fact even worse. What i went insane by is, one life. One life!? Oh my god and get this you have to pay to have multiple lives. I don't know how many people for one play this game, actually like it, and buy these lives man you can hop on Roblox and play a better game then this, and get this it dose have adds for every. Button. You. Press. Like come on making money off of kids having to watch a add to get on to the level, to fail within the first five seconds, and the watch a add to revive, not only that but to even leave the level. Literally every button, Its frustrating almost more frustrating then how much money you need to spend to have multiple lives. Might as well join Jeff Bazos in space at this point. I also get it you made this game because it popular and it gets you people looking for it, but i had this game for like two minutes and i already hated it! Please consider some, not even a lot of these requests. I see people popping on here making some pretty valid arguments similar to mine. So i know im not the only one so please!

Ok so it looks pretty good, and the gameplay is good. But what makes it a 3 star is the fact you need to watch 30 second adds just to play and replay a song. The life function has been changed so that it’s not a bar you can refill by hitting the notes, it’s a live system. That means you only have 3 lives and you can’t get them back. Unless your hitting every single note on something like tricky your not making it over halfway without watching a 30 second add. It’s even worse how you can’t play offline because you NEED to load the adds. If I’m on a road trip and I have no data I can’t play this at all. Also it makes you hit the notes the notes of the other person which gives you twice the difficulty with no rest. They did this on purpose so that you have to watch the ads. Especially the option to retry but you have to of course watch a full ad.

Hopefully some of these things get changed because if it would it would make the game a ton better.

There are multiple problems and I’ll just start off with the adds. It’s like you press on a button and there’s an add. Too many adds in my opinion. If you want to play a song, you have to watch an add. If you die then you either have to watch a full add to revive yourself or even if you try to exit, you have to watch an add but thankfully not the full add. The majority of this game is pretty much adds.

The second problem is the lag. Now my phone is already laggy from time to time but the game is a whole other level. For example, I’ll do good in one of the ones I’m not usually good at. All of a sudden it lags, it freezes but the song still continues, then all of a sudden a bunch of the note type thing go fast across your screen and it makes you miss them.

Third problem, I’m not sure if this also is lag but I’ll be playing one of them and I’ll be pressing the buttons correctly and at the right time but it shows that I didn’t press it at all (even though I did) and I die and like I said before, I have to watch an add.

My first problem with BeatDuel is the sheer amount OF ADS IN THIS GAME. Imagine, you go into the game wanting a good playing experience then you press on a song you have a to watch a ad, alright understandable. Then you die, if you exit the song you have to watch a ad, and if you wish to continue from where you started, you NEED TO WATCH A AD.

My second problems is the amount of missed you are able to get. Imagine you’re playing Manifest and you aren’t used to playing mobile rhythm games, then you missed one of the notes and then it’s game over and then you have to watch a ad for both options you choose, one being leave and the other being continue. I understand this is supposed to make it feel like a challenge, but seriously come on.

My third problem is the LAG SPIKES. You could just finally get passed the one part you kept messing up on a specific song as an example Zavodila, and then BAM, the music in the background continues as your screen freezes and you are unable to do anything, and then the notes fly by and you then must watch a ad to exit or continue from where you died.

When I say exit, it also includes trying to restart the song. You are also unable to restart the song as you are only given two option last when you lose, Revive (or as I refer to it as “continue) or exit to the some page with the song, how many stars(?) and related songs to it.

Really, this game is great! A wide selection of mods and it’s really fun. The only reason this game doesn’t get 5 stars is because of the random lag spikes, ads before and after songs, and the fact that you have to play both yourself and the enemy. First, are the lag spikes. They happen at the worst times and they completely throw you off and make you lose health (eventually getting blue balled). Second, are the ads. I’m fine with watching an ad to unlock a song, it’s fair. But getting and ad before AND after a song is just dumb. Third, you play yourself and the enemy. It’s challenging playing yourself and the enemy, having to constantly press arrows and you don’t have a chance to rest before you have to go again. It just makes the game hard (but not too hard). Other than those problems, this game is amazing and I highly recommend you play it and get your friends and family to play it!

So, basically the game is awesome, but the songs that are easier or shorter such as Madness being easier, or Hellclown being shortened taking chunks out of the song to make it easier, I understand making it easier for mobile users is a hassle but I was wondering if you could maybe make a Easy-Hard system instead of ranking it by difficulty, I would also love a filter where you can filter modes of certain genre. All of this is just feedback and I am wondering if it can be added. Other than this the game is amazingly made. (Also for people giving it a 1 star because it has ads, if it didn’t have ads than it would cost money. And even if they did make it cost money they’d still have the option to make the game have ads so be grateful.

Okay, listen. I adore this game, but there are some issues with it, and potential updates that can change this game entirely. First: get rid of the freaking ads! Well, you don’t have to get rid of them entirely, but just please don’t put so many ads. Calm it down a bit. Second: collaborate with CommunityGames. He posts a lot of videos about fnf mods, and maybe you can transfer them to your game as well. Third: install different modes, as in East, Normal, and Hard. It’s not very fun being able to play with only one mode. Lastly, get rid of the premium mode, or lower the price. $4 a week is a ridiculous price, so make it like, four bucks a month or something. That would be cheaper, and less annoying. But overall, this game is awesome, and hopefully it becomes the official Mobile version of Friday Night Funkin! Oh, and one last thing: add the Dave and Bambi mods, please!

Your trying to make money by spamming ads in kids face, probably didn’t even make this game, games like this take songs that are not theirs and then use it in their game, then you make the ads look different? I don’t get how people enjoy this game at all. Then, your fingers get hurt from trying to beat this, and then these “developers” probably are not even thinking twice, the songs? Not theirs. Characters? By mod developers ACTUALLY working. Animations? Also from the mod developers. There’s so many games like this, that are WAY better! I enjoyed this at first, but when I actually see it? HORRIBLE is the thing I thought after a while, the songs are very hard to beat, even trying headache (easy song) was hard. I’m not sure how many people will see this, I’m hoping at least a few to notice this before downloading, and I’m still wondering how people like this game. It’s almost like their bots, or idiots, not knowing the devs do not even own the actual songs, maps, or characters. I read a review, asking for their own mod, if they are reading this than they probably won’t get it, these “developers” are just- annoying for so many reasons!

1. Lag spikes
You can die to this so much, instead of it stopping, it just keeps going.

2. Ads
You added way too many ads, sure, you can make money from them, but it might drive players away.

3. Continue / Return
You get an ad choosing either one

4. At least 3 ads per song
To unlock, continue, or go back.

Okay this game ins awesome yadadada but let me just state my problems with the game, 1: Can we only get Boyfriends side of the song and not the opponents side? Because I just do t want my fingers to die- 2: Could ya maybe add online multiplayer? Or even like 2v2 online or 3g3 or 4v4?? This would be awesome in my opinion and deserves to be here. 3: Maybe for the songs don’t have to them out in the open, maybe you could sort them by like putting them in tabs or you could search up the song? And also maybe add the difficulty part when you click the song, not just the same song out there but with a different difficulty. 4: Could there be a remix option- like how there’s B-Side or D-Side? Yeah, that but it’s not in a tab rather it’s just like a button and boom- remix. Okay this is all I have to say for now but- if you add these updates I’ll give the game a rating of 5, thank you-

My brother and I both got Beat Battle without the Premium monthly thing and he had 11 health while I had 7. Eventually his dropped to 4 (Forgot to mention this is max health on Hard difficulty) and now so did mine. I feel like 7 health was more balanced. As for the ads, 1 to unlock each level isn’t that bad but watching one after wag one is kind of overkill. All in all the game is very fun with a ton of different songs and the controls for this one are great, unlike some FnF games. If more games had control layouts similar to this and Battle Music Full Mod I would play more but this one is an easy 5 stars thanks to (again) the controls and also the variety of songs. A lot of people get input lag or just lag spikes but this has not happened to me, which is odd.

This is the best fnf mobile I can find. All the other ones are just copy’s of this one with a lot of bugs. Although I do have 2 problems with this game. 1) the ads before and after you play a song. I understand the reason why ads are in the game but why so many? At the least if it give us a ad after every 2 or 3 songs. 2) why are the notes invisible for the npc on some songs but not all song’s. Hitting for two different characters is hard and taking a break from tapping a screen every few seconds feels good and let’s me enjoy the music. Other than those 2 problems the game is perfect and I wouldn’t change anything about it. I really hope this game can get more players and updates in the future. Keep up the good work.

I wanted to like this game I really did but there were a couple problems. One is that there’s a million ads, which can get pretty annoying, and I haven’t even seen anywhere where there’s an option to pay to turn them off like most games with ads have.
My biggest issue with this game, more than the ads, is the purple button, the arrow on the far left. It almost never registers when I tap it. Just that button specifically. I know I’m hitting it, but the game won’t register it, and so I lose a life and end up unable to make it through the level. I can’t even get past an easy level because of this. The ads were annoying but I was willing to deal with them to play the game; but this prevents me from finishing Literally any level, even an easy one, and makes it pretty much impossible for me to play the game at all. I ended up having to delete it, which makes me kind of sad because I did genuinely want to like it

This game is great in my opinion, I really love it. There’s just one suggestion I have for you.

I have no problem with the playing as both people part but the lives are starting to bug me. You only get about 3-5 lives (depending on which song you’re playing) and once you lose one it’s permanent for the rest of the song. I know you have to make this game different from the original but for me I feel like it’s very difficult to beat levels. Don’t get me wrong I love a good challenge but it’s ridiculous when you’re playing an insane level and you can only miss under 3 notes to beat the level.

I’ve only had this a few days first day was it was good I thought eh this is ok it’s just not as fun as fnf but I have a slow computer this is way better then some other game fnf is awsome but this game is better I can’t stop playing it and like I said I have a slow computer so I can’t get it cause then mods to load in will take like 100 days and I just can’t get enough I have vip (premium) people say it’s not worth it thought cause I got a apple gift card and got premium and I love this game please keep adding songs my favorite right now is ballistic it’s an addictive song and just keep it up I just love this it’s not a scam it’s not slow a BIT of ads but it’s ok ads are in endless games so please keep up the hard work

I have come on here simply to express how absolutely disappointed I am. This has been my favorite game for months now, and I would get very excited every week to beat the new levels that would come out (since I have beaten every other level). However, in the past week, the game has come out with a weekly subscription feature. Originally, while being completely overpriced at $4.99 PER WEEK, I had no problem with it. HOWEVER, since then, the game has cut down every single level from 5 lives to ONE SINGLE LIFE. I’m guessing this is to force people to buy the subscription, and I am absolutely disappointed and upset that I am no longer going to be able to enjoy the game that I had devoted so much of my time to.

To the creator of BeatDuel, fix it. I am absolutely not paying $4.99 every single week to give you the satisfaction of literally scamming your players. I can not express how angry this has made me and I have lost my favorite game because of it.

Hello, This is me from the future writing that beat battle has a bug! The devs I recommend fixing this because it is severe! The desc for the bug is below but I just wanted to say that this is the best game I played it may not look like it because of 3 stars but that is because of the bug but now to desc of bug

The bug that I call “auto-kill”
This bug started off when I was playing on my little sisters tablet and it ended up killing me but when I looked up at the hearts it said 4/4 hearts so I told my sister that this is why the game was not made for IPad and why I literally zoom in to see everything 2 days later (which is when I’m writing this) I figured out it was going on with my phone too I am a hardcore player for this game but I wanted to try to relax and play huggy wuggy for once but as I hit all the arrows it killed me agin and again all until the end and every time I died I looked at the hearts and I didn’t miss one arrow at all.

I hope the devs respond If anything happens to the game I would probs respond because I love the game and I don’t want the game to die out on popularity for two reasons
1. It is probs the best fnf and official fnf mobile version
2.It is the best and most greatest game and I found that it has most of the mods unlike others
And there we go in the future I would respond
