MMA Manager 2: Ultimate Fight Reviews

First off the I like to say I really enjoy this game and you guys made it so much better and this is my most played game but your next update or fix you should buff submission, takedown, defense in general because I hate when I have a bbj discipline and a 1800 submission w/ firm grip and they still somehow come out of the submission and same with takedown I’ll have a 1500 takedown and barely get any takedown and the def is bad too I’ll be in balanced or defensive with a 1000 kick def and I’ll be getting high kicked like it’s at 67 like you guys barely got any effective defensive abilities or tactics like can you make it more of a defensive game tooand another problem is the gameplan how is a 20% takedown more frequent than my other 30 or 40% for knees or high kicks even a 10% takedown be hella frequent. Other that this game is verrrrry valid and like also can the matches actually last longer like 5 rds sumtimes and sumtimes 1st round tkos get boring yk like nerf the damage or buff the def.

I feel like the game quiet obviously prefers offense over defense. My two weakest fighters are purely offensive but easily have the most consistent win rates. My strongest fighter is a grabbler/defensive fighter and half the time his defense is ignored and the other half his grabbling skills are ignored. He’s literally useless and thats so frustrating, since i spent so much time/credits for him to be a beast and after all that upgrading he’s like a joke. I feel like thats the definition of unbalanced. My weakest fighter literally only knows how to punch and to punch hard and bodies everything. He’s a level 4 and my strongest fighter is on his way to be level 7. Please fix this so this can be a better game. May i add my grappler has a 500 takedown and can barley hit one, meanwhile my weakest offensive fighter has a 400 something punch, and doesn’t really miss punches. Same issue with my 300 submission on the grappler, the ground game is particularly terrible and n e e d s a buff, but defense too. The rest of the game is good tho.

This game displays data in a way that is deliberately misleading. It has a VIP system that has quality of life improvements at higher levels. Purchases are needed to get enough points for each level, and the VIP progress bar shows 20 points are needed. When you scroll through the benefits of each level it shows the same progress bar, leading you to believe it is 20 points for each level. I wanted to get VIP level 2 for auto training, and bought the 5 dollar starter pack which gives 60 points. After the purchase the VIP progress bar changes, so the 20 points got me to VIP 1 but not VIP 2, I would need to spend another 10 dollars for that. Purposefully dubious business practice as there is no way of knowing how much you need to spend to get specific VIP levels, you can’t even see the requirements until you reach the next level. I requested a refund through MMAManager2 store and submitted a ticket to the games support. I strongly advise against playing this game let alone spending money on it.

This game very bad. Recruiting is terrible. I can’t create my own character the way I want it and I should enjoy only 5 that game presented to me and switch them I have to pay. I am looking for 5 characters according to weight category and for those 5 open I get only female( I have nothing against women, but I want them to be a male).
Fighting.
Doesn’t matter how many points you have or how you set up you character. It’s pure random. Def players always die. Against puncher I set strike def for my tank guy. 800 strike def and I went against character who had total 1000 points. I had 300 low kick and 300 punches myself. I missed all shots and he land all punches. How? I have 3000 base stats against his 600. I mean 5 times more. This fight made me put 1 star and write this comment. It should be beating to the other guy. How I lose without even landing a punch with almost 3 times more overall stats.
That bring us to
Matchmaking. How did we even match ? 😂

y’all really added a timer to upgrades huh? trash, shame on you. Couple months later…

UPDATE: Hey I’m sorry for the bad review I left with 1 star. This is one of my all-time favorite games on MMAManager2 Store & tysm for making a S2 so I can make another gym! I love this game & you and I’m forever grateful. I understand why there’s a timer and I just wanted to apologize for talking bad about this masterpiece of an app. I like it so much that I might even try to get Opal VIP5 but I’m still hesitant, 12/10 game go MMA Manager 2 and everyone involved much love

There is a lot of potential it is a really fun game. But the amount of times I have to close MMAManager2 and re-open it because some function isn’t working or loading so pretty annoying but not a huge deal. What truly frustrates me is now MMAManager2 won’t load at all. It will say preparing gym and then restart loading and does this over and over. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times. No luck. Side note is, I wish there was a way to see what moves you can learn prior to training so you can game plan how you want you fighter to be. Other than that It is a good game. I just hope you can access it 🤷‍♂️

Still can’t load in to MMAManager2 this is months later. After dealing with support I figured they’d fix whatever the issue was. I guess not.

I like the concept and have been really enjoying the game for the past hour or so but I’ve reached a point where when I try to train I get a message saying something to the tune of “we can’t train your fighter right now, try again or restart”
And I’ve done both of those things several times. I’ve even tried to restart my phone and reinstall MMAManager2 itself. And then it started giving me an error on the loading screen saying I’m not updated to the latest version. But I do have the latest version installed. So I’m giving it a break for a while. At least until these issues are resolved. Other than that solid game if u wanna try your luck with the bugs.

Don't let this fool you, it's a basic click bait app. It gets you interested the first day or 2 then just does everything in it's power to make you think you have to put money into the game. The simple addition, subtraction, and timing is so off I doubt the developers finished highschool let alone elementary school. The programmers should really be rethinking their career/life choices after a game this poorly put together. I like the details with the "gameplan" but you have to upgrade your fighter enough to use the gameplan. The animations during the fight show your fighter throwing a strike but also taking the damage which makes no sense whatsoever. It's a "meh" game if you don't spend money but rip off if you do put any money into this garbage.

This game is great and definitely an upgrade from the first, but the beginning of the game is poorly thought out. For example, you can only train strike defense using facilities that are unlocked at 3 star prestige ~ roughly 2-3 weeks of playing. This is so dumb. How is anybody supposed to win fights when they can’t teach their fighters to defend? Honestly a terrible oversight, I can’t believe it actually made it into the game. I really recommend changing this if you want any hope of retaining new players…

Hi I just want to tell you how much I love this game it is so much fun and I have an idea. First game modes like free for all where players could fight in a giant arena and survival where you can see a long can you go with out dying and a creative mode where you can explore the city and fight on theirs while you explore next a waiting lobby while wait for people to join a fight and arenas where you fight that’s all can think thanks for listening I love this game so much.

It is rng but tactic play a role how you train a fight matter early on stick to a 1 style and you’ll win more fights instead of trying to do it all…. If your a boxer and strikes are your go too dont try to add submission because your going to want to stay off the ground anyway because you most likely lose to a ground and pound or submission specialist… instead build takedown defense and keep the fight standing so you can out strike them

There is a glitch on chapter 15. It says to get 2 level 4 fighters and apply common level talents. I already applied the talents and my 5th and 6th fighter already were level 4 the chapter before 15. So when I went to chapter 15 it didn’t register that I already completed those goals. The only way for my fighters to get level 4 again is by going up to the next gym to get 2 new fighters…. Which comes after chapter 15… so I’m pretty much stuck permanently until they fix the game since I can’t complete the chapter 15 tasks that I’ve already completed. Was planning on spending a lot of money on it but I guess not anymore. Fix your game please - Ryan

It is very “pay to win” which is understandable for a free game but still it’s frustrating that I’m only held back because I don’t spend money. Great game tho, very enjoyable, just wish certain features could be unlocked by time and skill rather than just money. Like the VIP section. So many awesome things, unachievable, no matter how good I am, simply because I can’t spend the money. Not a HUGE problem, but considering it’s a competitive game, it can pose a problem for newer players. But still, Great game, 4 stars.

This game is one if it’s kind in MMAManager2 Store. It’s great to spectate your fighters, train them, and see them progress. The 3d models are great and the animations are very well done making it look like a real fight.

If there’s was one suggestion I can make, is maybe adding an option to auto continue campaign fights instead of having to manually start the next fight or a rematch option after defeat

First of all, love this game! I was a big fan of the first game so when I saw this, I got to try. Overall, better game than the first one and the graphics got better which is nice because I do like to watch the “fight”. The only complaint I have is the connecting to server issue. When I play this game, it says on the top left corner on my screen the latency is over 300 most of the time! Sometimes it doesn’t even connect…if that is fixed, 5 stars!!

This game could be nice to whip out and play when you have a few mins to kill. The trouble with that is I'm unable to go beyond "connecting to master server" about 50% of the time I try to play. Any time I go more than 5 mins in this game it stops responding and I'm back to "connecting to master server." Work on your uptime, it's atrocious.

Mostly it will crash when you’re watching an ad to refill stamina. Some days you get lucky and can watch all 5 most days you get 2-3 videos and after that it crashes every ad. Also make the ads shorter. Sometimes I get lucky and get 5 second ads and others days I get 1 min long ads. Which is ridiculous. No noble game ad should be 1 min long. Please fix these issues and the game will be perfect.

I have played the first MMA manager game and that was a good game. The only thing I wish you kept the same in the second game is in the first one their was no stamina that you had to worry about running out while training. That for me is a negative thing that was added. Other than that it’s a good game. Keep the content coming.

Multiple levels to this game many reviews speak on time consuming but that’s the art of MMA. I do wish they were bigger development trees for martial art move dynamics, specifically Wrestling Single; double; leg sprawls however this is a phone app with no commercials forced in your face every five minutes. The game story is interesting, tournaments opens up and improves gameplay, I can’t wait to see what’s next!!!

I really enjoy the game and plan on playing for awhile. My only issue is if I spend the time and energy to max out the stats on all my fighters I shouldn’t have a limit if I wana have every stat maxed and spent the time and energy to do it I should. It’s a game to grind to be the best so allow me to grind to make my fighter 100% in every aspect.

It’s a great game I put alot of time into it and you don’t have to put anymoney into it to do good or have fun but the opportunity is there if you grind irl instead of in the game I would like to see a auto place ability where I can give it a general idea because I’m not very creative
