Great communication app for adults

I downloaded the app to have an alternate way for my residents to communicate with me at the nursing home I work at. I love how there are continuous vocabulary packages coming out and I especially appreciate the medical vocabulary as that is something that is essential for my residents to be able to communicate. I also appreciate the fact that you can add your own vocabulary to make it personalized for each individual user. Also, I love how easy it is to contact the owners/developers to ask for specific vocabulary.

I use Weave Chat for students with language and articulation needs. I like the functionality of the display, the ability to change how many pictures appear on screen and even the size of the pictures (this is especially helpful for students with limited physical mobility and those with visual difficulties). I like how you can change features like including or eliminating the verbal output when selecting pictures. The pictures are simple and clearly convey the word it represents. And the best thing… NO IN-APP PURCHASES!!!

I love this communication app SO much! It doesn’t place any aspect of communication behind a paywall, which I respect so deeply. I do have one small nitpick, but it’s not big enough to drop it down any stars. The thing is, with the self-recorded audio for buttons, the audio is always really quiet. I have to turn up the volume super high just to hear it. Other than that, this app is absolutely wonderful and I’ve been practicing using it every day, and needless to say, it does the job well!
