When I first download dēzl it worked fine but when I close it out and reopen it, it tells me my device is not connected and is basically frozen I can’t tap on nothing. I uninstall and reinstall and it does the same thing works fine but once closed its frozen!!!
I like the fact that they are making it easier to access the truck stop programs. But I can’t get the pilot or loves app to sign in on my otr1000
Not entirely sure why they needed to put out a new app for all this, but the integration of having pilot in Loves is a start the fact that you can only view your points and find locations Kind of makes it useles. It would be nice if they can get the new apps to function like the apps would on our phones like Daniel to pay for fuel from the Garman reserve a shower and see how many showers are available
That’s deep GPS and slow responding does not recalculate danced and you have to slow down to 5 miles an hour so you don’t turn
Garmin will never admit to this, but dēzl came into existence, as I worked with Garmin engineers for the past good several weeks.
I wrote many emails and sent several diagnostic logs from the previous Drive App; and my OTR800 GPS.
I proved to support how the previous Drive App wasn’t working very well with Bluetooth; especially with PrePass.
Sometimes I would get notifications, other times I wouldn’t get anything at all. I even told them of the bad reviews the Drive App was getting for a long time.
I suggested to Garmin to do a complete rewrite of dēzl from scratch. Hopefully correcting the PrePass notification and Bluetooth connection issues.
So far, the new Dezl App was able to connect to my OTR800, and the PrePass feature seems to be updated! I have yet to test this out for notifications being sent to the GPS properly.
It’s impressive to see the Pilot and Love’s features added! I am able to see my Pilot information on the GPS screen!
*** But I took one star because even after logging into my Love’s account and giving it authorization, there’s no information! The GPS screen tells me to log into my Loves account on the Dezl App. I did that several different ways, but still tells me regardless to log in anyway. So that might need to get fixed.
I have already reset the Bluetooth connections and reinstalled the Dezl App several times, doesn’t fix the Love’s connection issue.
It might be a poor signal from the phone, so will give it a good day or two before having to send another support message to Garmin.
I will edit this as I know more.
Anyway, give dēzl a try if your past frustrated with the previous Garmin Drive App.
It’s a good app to send addresses over but I just wish it gave us the ability to edit some address locations and update some new roads/routes as well. It frustrates me that the Garmin has to tell me to turn around many times when it thinks I’m on a dirt road when I’m actually on a newly built highway. It also frustrates me that many times the address for the building is not even close to where the trucks entrance is at. So it would be really nice to be able to create a pin of where the actual trucks entrance is at so that you’re not scrambling around last minute trying to figure out where the entrance is and which way to go.
The new app overall is going good for my OTR1000, but no matter how many times I sign in and out, the gps keeps telling me to sign into my love’s account on the Deźl app to see rewards on the gps screen itself. I’ve don’t that several times and it still keeps saying to sign in on dēzl to view them. It works fine with my pilot/FlyingJ app, but not the Loves one. Please take a look at this!
dēzl is great. I enjoy using it because I can type in my locations and it will load them up the next time I turn on the GPS.
The best I can switch from truck navigation to car navigation. The money was well spent
dēzl is helpful when I’m in the stores making deliveries at Walmart I already have my route set before I get back in the rig
That’s a nice app make the truck driver life easy and more safe you don’t have to type it on the GPS anymore you just type it to dēzl and it goes straight to the GPS
This has been the best addition since automatic transmissions. It’s very accurate and saves time while on the road
I travel from the Midwest to the Northeast on a weekly basis and this device gets me there and keeps me in the know. It is a very good compliment to my cb radio.

Had my dezl lgv 1010 for 3 weeks now. I installed the dezl app and it was great, for the first week that is.... It now won't pair with my phone, it only connected to my calls and contacts, it won't connect at all, I have done all the trouble shooting things but no chance of connecting. I think it's the app that is the problem
Using app on android based smartphone. By sharing full address from google map dezl take just street name and bulding number, city or postcode often get idnored and takes me to miles away. As example, address 1 Woodhouse Rd, Swindon SN3 2GU Put in google map, share to dezl app, but it take to account just 1 Woodhouse Road At bottom it offers view addresses to choose from( however requested address is not in list). Belive if press just button GO, it take to closest place with this street name. ( it offers me street in Doncaster ( i am in Doncaster)) For my work i have address to go to, so easy press and open in google map, but to go by truck, i am, using garmin lgv700. Need to improve dezl app
