It was initially fun as there is hand eye (or finger eye) coordination, fast math, and cute little dudes. But as you level up it become unsustainable to continue play with any hope of skill determining if you will pass a level. This is because as you level up the number of bad guys you must fight increases as the number if your good guys increases but the width of the platform does not. This often means that 75% of your little fighters will fall off of the platform or be squished by obstacle walls that you cant maneuver around bc your little army takes up the full width of the game play area and when the area becomes narrows there is no where for your guys to go…. They just die. Then you will be met with the red team which is sized to go against the army you started the level with. Basically even if you play perfectly some levels are impossible to win. Also when you play you quickly reach a point where there is nothing left to do with the coins you earn from win and I have no idea what one can do with diamonds. Not only that but after you reach more than 260(ish) guys crossing the finish line it stops at a score of 6.2 regardless of if you finish with 260 or 380. It also has a habit of failing and the fight between your little dude and the games dudes stalling out while the choppers and swing arms in the background remain active.

The gameplay is boring. Every level past level five is exactly the same and if you’re ability in math is beyond a second grade level the options to recruit more characters as you play are underwhelming obvious. After every 20 seconds of game play you get a 1-2 minute add and if you try to press the obscurely small “x” to get rid of CountMasters it just takes you to the apps download page until about 3-5 attempts of trying to leave CountMasters . The game is repetitive, requires no ability and the levels never get more challenging. The entire point of the game is just to watch advertisements for games and the advertisements don’t even align with the game play the apps advertise which is also extremely annoying. If I could give CountMasters zero stars I would what happened to the good free to play apps we had 10 years ago? Truly disappointed don’t even waste your time even bothering to download CountMasters its a waste of time and space in your phone.

This is my first review I’ve submitted for an app. After seeing ads for this I thought it would be fun to try, but I regret that decision. I’ve spent over 25% (approaching 50%) of the brief time that I’ve spent trying CountMasters seeing commercials, including ones that pop up when it would (presumably) show me how I just performed on a level. As another reviewer said, the premise of a fun math game is great, but I could quickly see where the obstacles don’t allow all of your people through anyway, so it feels like it requires less math skill than advertised. I’ll be deleting this from my phone after I submit this, which is also a record short time for any app on my phone.

In a nutshell: the free version has so many ads to make it a miserable experience and drag out the game, and what I can see of the game isn’t very impressive. Not worth my time and not worth the space on my phone.

This game is an absolute insult. The upgrades mean absolutely nothing (I used two different accounts to test the theory) you can continue to play over and over with no upgrades and continue to beat every level possible. It’s nothing but ad after ad and pure laziness. I get it you gotta make money but come on guys at least add a little rng instead of making players watch continues ads to continue if they fail to succeed. With that being said after a little while of leveling up your builds it’s a guarantee that you will never succeed the first try of attacking a new section on the map so that way you have to watch an ad if you want to progress quickly. I do wish that developers would quit using this kind of tactics to get rich quick off of players. I’m not mad cause I understand but I am disappointed in the lazy work ethic.

If you download don’t spend $3 to avoid apps you beat the game too quickly for it to be worth it. Read further to see why.

This game as the title suggest has only a short lived novelty to it. Only skill to this is doing math in your head under stress as fast as you can, faster than any human can. No pausing slowing the crowds getting around barriers no timing as you can’t see more than a short part of the course. Then there is a side mission where you “build” on an island for people to get on a ship and state by state conquer the US. After 50 battles here no insentive and again barriers to thin your heard. Here though there is timing to consider math isn’t so rapid fire, more strategic. And the gems needed to build are useless after you build like 15 times but you constantly collect them. The coins on the math runs are a better prize as you see a compounding effect but it compounds too slowly. After 50 levels tops for either part of the game… there is nothing to do other than sends hoards of beings to their death as you hope for a high score but you won’t get because the obstacles can’t really be avoided. Even if you do the math you still fail. It’s frustrating, tedious, and again too short of a game.

So the game is okay fun but the thing is, that after every single level there is an add. I know the developers might not have control over that and people make money from that but it’s super annoying!!! And if you don’t want to watch all the adds turn on airplane mode. The levels are super short and super easy and also the stairs or whatever will not let you get past 6.2!!!! and I have to watch an add to change my color! It’s annoying and I only gave this two stars because one, the adds two, levels are super short and easy, three I think there should be some more islands to build on and once you finish attacking america you could move to a different country! And four, what the heck am I supposed to do with all these dang diamonds?!?!? These would all make the game so much better and fun. I feel like there is more adds then there is game!! So if you could fix all of this that would be great and so much more people would download the game. Thanks!

This game is frustrating because it could be great but it gets stale after the first hour or two. Here are my main complaints:

- Too many ads. Seriously, this game exists to show you ads for other games. Even if you select the option to “miss out” on additional rewards by skipping an ad, you get one anyway. The ad you get after completing a level is longer than the level itself. I’d be willing to spend the $3 to get rid of them if there was more content.

- No progression. Quickly you realize there is no real progression and once you’ve completed 20ish levels there is nothing left to do. You earn diamonds that are useless. Coins that are useless. There is no progression but you are forced to watch more ads to claim your “rewards” that you don’t want or need. The game doesn’t get any harder but the map is so small that levels become unbeatable because the characters don’t fit on the playable area.

- Performance issues. This game will freeze up and force you to close and restart. Normally this wouldn’t bug me but it happened a lot.

Overall this game is fun for an hour and then you’ll get sick of it. Don’t get suckered into spending any money because you’ll realize there is nothing beyond that first hour.

I have the same issues as a lot of other folks here. This game is mindless fun- you dodge the obstacles, defeat the boss- doesn’t take a lot of thought if you just want to relax your brain for a bit. However, there are a lot of glitches that have caused me to lose levels. I built up my village but there’s nothing left to build. I conquered the map but now there’s no one else to attack. Nothing to use diamonds and coins on. I agree about the platform size- it needs to be expanded. I’m glad I didn’t pay for this game because I would’ve been disappointed. I agree also with the INSANE amount of ads in the game. And they’re like 30-60 seconds long. It’s very overwhelming when you just want to veg out, relax your mind and play something fun and simple but you have minutes and minutes of ads to go through. I think with some further development this game could easily be a 5+!

Beat the game within an hour. This game is fun during that time, but then there’s nothing left to do except level up with no direction and/or understanding of what you’re working toward. Don’t fall into that trap. You’re not working toward anything worthwhile.

It’s a shame the developers took such little pride and effort to detail ultimately letting this game just sit in CountMasters Store as an unfinished product. I can’t tell you how many things they could have done better to make this game great and feel fluid but alas, it still sits in the top free charts. If you manage to play this game without paying for the Ad-free option, you have the patience of a saint which is how they get you.

I really want to keep playing this game but I can’t help but hate everything that’s keeping this game from being better.

This game is mindless fun. After spending a few buck to avoid the relentless adds I quickly found this game has a few issues and bugs. At times with massive people it freezes. No matter how many people you have (few hundred to over 1k) at the end of the round you can’t get higher than 6.2. Levels don’t get harder. Bosses don’t get harder. You gain blue diamonds but there isn’t anything to spend them on. Money is spent increasing economy but that seems useless. The side missions are boring after you max your base and you play through the same three number sequence to attack the castle. There is no upgrading units. Sometimes the math is wrong when you increase army size.…. However it is mindless fun. I’ve played over 200 levels and will delete. You don’t have much to do after an hour or so of playing. Game seems unfinished

First off, the ad version is basically unbearable. Play a few rounds to make sure you like the idea before buying.

The main issue with this game is it is just too easy. It would be such a simple fix to add a difficultly selector and make the choices much less obvious using harder level math. I’m on level 90 something and haven’t seen a minus or divide or anything other than simple addition and subtraction. I would love having the speeds increase, at least all 4 of the simple arithmetic functions. It would be really fun with extreme levels including exponential, square route, and simple algebra functions.

The island challenge always shows you the best path before you start, what is even the point in that? They whole section of the game is useless.

So I got this game on while I was playing a different game and an ad popped up and I thought that it looked cool so I downloaded CountMasters and thought it was really fun but as I got more into it I realize that it was useless and had a huge amount of flaws. First I realized that no matter how much people you get you won’t get first place I mean once I got all the highest numbers and I avoided all of the obstacles and still did not get it first place and also you can only change your characters color from the color wheel I mean why can’t you just choose your own color. Oh so you can only buy the things that you have already earned, I mean seriously, what’s the point of buying them anyway then Plus if you did all that work to earn them and you can’t even afford to buy them that makes. no sense. And that’s my statement please don’t get CountMasters.

As many other reviews have mentioned, CountMasters is LOADED with ads. You’ll see a somewhat skippable 30 second ad after every 20 second level. Optional upgrades can be unlocked using in-game coins (earned by completing levels) or by watching a 30 second ad. Expect to watch A LOT of ads.

I haven’t even touched on the gameplay. If you’ve seen the ads for this game, that’s what you get and nothing more. The levels never get harder. The “bosses” are just various skins of the same NPC. Seriously, there’s no substance to this game at all. You’ll never reach a level you get stuck at and celebrate when you finally pass it. The levels are all procedurally generated with various obstacles thrown in your way. By the time you’ve reached the 5th level, you’ll have seen all that this game has to offer.

2 stars, because it’s exactly as advertised and nothing more.

The gameplay starts off fun. The math and obstacles are a little challenging. The side activity of building on an island is pretty neat. Sending off a ship to raid somewhere has potential. Then after 20 minutes, you’ve seen and done it all. If you start a level and fail, you do not get to go back and try again, it is just gone and you have another level to do. Some of the obstacles have no way to pass without major losses. No skills to improve. The bonus waving needles have a predictable rhythm making the highest bonuses gain able every time. The building is done in 20 minutes. No additional islands, no upgrades, just done. The raiding ship always wins through no action on your part. It is all off screen. The jewels you win in the raids have no purpose. It feels like the free sample of a bigger game. Lots of adds. But that seems to be the norm these days.

The game does not have enough variety to offer. It gets extremely repetitive once you have built all of the village, and have won over the entire map. The same obstacles, the same scores, the same scenery. Once you reach a certain point, it’s basically like you beat the game. There won’t be another map to go through, no other villages to build, and most importantly, no more ways to spend diamonds. So you end up just collecting a bunch of diamonds you can’t use… my BIGGEST gripe with this gripe is that you cannot progress any higher in score past a certain point because the platform does not increase in size to accommodate the bigger armies. So you end up losing majority of them off of the mere fact that there isn’t enough platform to accommodate, making the game unplayable at that point because you get tired of not being able to get a higher score

This game is fun and enjoyable, nothing ground breaking but nice to pass the time. The gameplay is simple and easy, and I haven’t noticed any major bugs. The actual game itself: 5 stars.

However, the BIGGEST thing keeping CountMasters from getting anything higher than 3 is the amount of ADS! After every round, you get an ad that ranges from 15-30 seconds. I have been playing this game for about an hour and the majority of the time was dealing with ads. There isn’t even an option to pay to get rid of them. There are SO MANY ADS to the point where it makes it annoying to play, sucking the enjoyment out of completing any level. If there was an option to pay to get rid of these ads, I would gladly do it.

Overall, the game is nice and fun, but the amount of ads are unbearable.

First of all, the game is pretty fun with the bosses and multipliers and whatnot but if you could add a creative mode where you build your own levels to play yourself or to publish for others to play that would be awesome. Second, there are only two things you can upgrade in the game when there is so many things you can make options to upgrade like luck where it gives you a better chance to get higher additions to your crowd or defense where you have better resistance to enemy attacks like one person is like 2. Finally, there should be an option to add decor to your crowd like hats.

This game is really fun but it gets boring after a while and you end up not having anything to do and a lot of money. Also it is super duper canguper hard to get all the way to the top I have never made it so, I say extend the thing down or make it easier to get more people. I also know the little mini game is fun but needs some improvements like another map or a actual online area where you battle people online, or like clash of clans like where it ends up going to someone offline and then you battle them by surprise. All in all the game is really amazing you should download it but there are things you might not like. This game is definitely worth it.
It’s so addictive and fun. Not only is it satisfying, it’s also a great educational game.
In order to succeed, you have to know some basic math, and be able to do it quick.
Good brain trainer.
It also it a good quick game that you don’t need to think about too much. Like if you are just bored you can start playing and then stop when you need to go grab a snack or do laundry. What I’m saying is it’s quick and it’s not a big commitment, although if you wanted to you could play it for hours.
The one small problem I have is the prize thing.
There’s a thing in a game where in between levels you pick a mystery box out of three. It has a best prize and then the others are just coins. I’ve never been able to get best prize. I’ve tried to only click the middle box when the thing comes up, but it was never in that one. I did the same for the side ones, but no luck. The only way to get it was to watch and add. Which is clearly a trick.
Besides that, the game is really great and you should definitely get it. I promise you’ll like it.

OMG this is so good I just don’t know what to say thank you thank you thank you for making this game I just love it because of all the people in all the skins you can guess that you can change the color of your person by just a spin or a video it’s so awesome I just don’t don’t wanna stop playing it !Since I got Covid today I’ve been playing this game for like less than an hour I have to stop in a few minutes well a lot of minutes and basically an hour so I’m so excited for you to make like another game like this thank you thank you thank you so much for making this .

I was just playing Draw defense then a ad popped up 👀 I saw this game I was like “ this looks like a fun game I totally don’t know that there’s a Trillion ads” so when I was waiting for it to download I looked at all The reviews and I saw bad things so I was like well this game is going to be trash but let’s just see and guess what I hate it it’s like the worst I agree with all other people too many ads too many stuff so yeah I don’t know why someone just would make a game for you to just watch ads 99% of the time I was just watching the ads and 1% I was actually playing really it just was really boring and really easy with some other people I read the reviews and I saw some other people get all the skins in like 20 minutes in 20 minutes I also got all the skins. In all it’s just a bad game

This is a great game. Very addicting. But after many levels of seeing Ads over and over and over again I decided to go head and pay the money for no ads. Well guess what, you still have to watch ads for literally EVERYTHING. You want that new skin you earned - you gotta watch an ad. You want that bonus you earned - you gotta watch an ad. You want to go to the next level - you gotta watch an ad. And these ads are 30 seconds long and then another 15 seconds to try and get you to download what is being advertised. Come on - if you’re going to have an option for users to pay to not have ads - then take away the ads. This is ridiculous. I should have just kept my money at this point.

I was playing this game and i thought it was quite fun. Then i wanted to watch an add to claim a new skin that i worked hard for and it pretended like there was no internet and i couldnt claim the skin, even though i DID have internet! So the only way to actually get a skin is to pay for it, wich i think is unfair. The game also said that i couldwin a skin by choosing one out of three chests. The first and second time i chose “wrong”. I thought that it was just a coincidence, but i have had to choose fo a lot of times now and i still haven’t won one skin out of all those times i could choose from the chests. I am sorry but to me that is kind of suspicious. It’s like the creators of the game don’t want me winning a free skin!

So this a very fun and addictive game, although it’s missing something. I like how you have to use math skills to play the game, although I feel like the archers are to easy to defeat, because they could get your troops down to 1 and you could still defeat them because the cant melee attack you. And when building your island I feel like it would make sense to have the ability to upgrade your farms a stuff like that. I would definitely give this game an extra star is you add this addition, and it would definitely make the game a bit more challenging.

This game is very addictive and fun.I’ve seen other reviews saying theirs a lot of adds but to be fair there isn’t it is like after every 2 games. Witch compared to other mobile games isn’t a lot. The reason I gave this four stars is because the devs are sometimes lazy. First off at some levels at end is a boss where it always the same boss with different skins. Also the boss is very weak you could you your worst at the level and still beat it. When you finish the village there’s nothing else you can do I mean after you finish it you literally don’t have anything to do other than the levels I suggest that you add challenges or something like that. For people looking to get this game their is a wheel to change your troops color. Get new skins and make a village. Anyway that’s it

Hi everyone says that this game is for dumb babies and it’s not fun when there’s too many ads and yes I’ve played it there’s way too many ads but guess what I just go on to airplane mode and then you don’t watch ads and yeah it’s just a game but it’s also really fun even with the ads I took my time to write this so that you could read it So listen to meIt’s really fun and yeah play it all the time it’s going to get boring but it’s not boring at all and it’s not dumb it’s one of the best games ever is my favorite game thank you for having time to be there have a good day

Unlike a many games this game actually doesn’t have a lot of adds I’ve played games that every 30 seconds to a minute there was an ad even in the middle of a game but this game is awesome and there are not that many adds it is quite challenging and it keeps me entertained all in all I think this game is really good and from what I hear the creators of this game listen to the reviews and if they find anything in the reviews that they need to change they will change it because I’ve heard that this game used to be pretty bad but I’ve also heard that it’s got a lot better and it is really fun to me!
