Way tooooooo many ads.

I tried this game about a year ago and stopped playing because of the numerous ads that pop up during the playing of a level, interrupting my concentration. It seems to be a great game were it not for the ads. I understand ads are necessary for supporting development improvements. I was hoping that after a year, this would change by reducing the frequency of the ads or offering a pay to remove option (except maybe for special rewards), but it has not. If advertisers are providing funding to the developers, this developer must be a billionaire by now. Reading other reviews, I’m not alone in my opinion. One thing I don’t understand is the developers responses. I get the impression that the developer is passing the comments onto the staff, but shouldn’t the developer be the one to take care of this issue? I have not seen that many games where there are so many complaints about ads as this one and nothing has been done to improve the problem. I guess this game will go back on the shelf for another year.

Good game but I think I broke it

I actually really like this game and the general idea of it, but I can’t seem to get past level 3. I’ve beaten the level multiple times, and every time, it sends me back to the exact same one. Basically, I’ll get the required amount and hit the lock, and then it will play the basic “end of level” sequence and then send me into the new level. However, the issue is that it still says level 3 at the top and has the exact same layout as the previous one. I’m not sure if it’s something I did or if that’s just as many levels as there are currently, but it’s really weird.

Solid nope due to the ads

Downgrading my generous 2-star to a 1-star. Each round after round one becomes increasingly interrupted DURING gameplay action to show you another ad. This isn’t acceptable folks. Do not accept or tolerate this. After the SECOND intrusive ad stopped my round and put me back into the game, it was perhaps only two or three seconds MAX - I hit the ball a single time and it flew towards the top of the screen - and it paused my game yo show me yet ANOTHER ad. So now it’s only letting me play 2-3 seconds before cramming another ad in my face and halting my gameplay? How can an iota of fun or entertainment be extracted from the experience? I think I’ve discovered how: deleting the game brought me satisfaction and alleviated any anxiety this game was attempting to induce within me. Bliss.

Ads ruin it

This is a good game but the amount of ads ruin the whole thing. The ads pop up in the middle of the game, for example I can just be playing the game and be in the middle of doing something and an ad will pop up. It is really annoying and overall ruins the whole game. I don’t like to complain about ads because I know that games have to have them ( for profit ) but if the ads ruin the WHOLE game then there is a problem with the amount of them. Overall this is a very good game and has a lot of potential but I can’t play something that is mostly watching ads.

Fun overall but a few things that detract from the enjoyment

This is a nice relaxing game where you don’t have to put a whole lot of thought into it, but there are a couple things that take away from the enjoyment. In a this app game where timing is important, having an “ad break” almost every 15 to 30 seconds gets frustrating. Also in a number of levels there is a soft lock where your ball gets stuck in the corner behind a bumper and a wall with no way to dislodge it without turning the game off and losing all progress.

Broken.

The game is great, I enjoyed playing it, as it gave me something to do. Now, I’m not going to be complaining about the amount of ads, but I believe there to be some sort of bug or glitch. I am stuck in the same level, that level being ‘37’. It has the same exact course as the last few times I played in, in these past few days. I don’t understand what is going on, but I think you need to update Pinball or put other courses that are different from each other. Thank you, have a good day.

Fun but ball gets stuck sometimes

I enjoy this game a lot but sometimes the ball gets stuck and the only way to fix it is to close out the game and restart, losing any progress from that level. Maybe you could implement a button that would reset the ball at the bottom or something? Also a lot of the levels are the same as previous ones. Overall though this game is pretty addictive and fun!

Interesting ideas, but just fine

There were some interesting twists on this app here, but the underlying this app is only okay. There are weird physics that shoot the ball from the back of the flipper to the top of the screen and the one-tap approach that hits both flippers is unappealing.

But fundamentally, my problem with this is that these are probably the most aggressive ads of any free game I’ve ever downloaded. I was watching far more ad than I was actually playing this app. And being jerked to an ad in the middle of a level meant I lost my momentum when I came back.

4+ with half naked woman?

So I was already annoyed with ads like the rest of us, the game is very good. But after what I just saw, I am absolutely done. I play this game with my niece as a way to wind down. There is no warning that there may be slightly inappropriate images. But I just reached a level where there’s an image (anime) of a girl wearing almost nothing, leaning forward so her chest is the majority of the image. This game is marketed towards children with an age rating of 4+. This is absolutely inexcusable. There needs to be something in the description about this so parents know before downloading for their children to access.

Too Many Ads

I really like this game, it’s a good mix of easy, challenging, and fun. However, there are way too many ads. I can deal with ads between levels, an ad to play a bonus level, or ads to use a power up. But they should not be interrupting game play with an “ad break!” It’s obnoxious when I can maybe play a minute of gameplay before I’m forced to watch an ad. Yes, you can skip it after a few seconds. But it’s incredibly annoying.

Too many ads

Love the game, but there’s so many ads. I understand this is how developers make their money, but I wish there was an option to buy a no ad feature. I haven’t found a game I liked in a really long time, and this one I do thoroughly enjoy I just wish the ads wouldn’t bother my plays so much. Definitely wouldn’t mind investing into a no ad version if it existed.

I’m sick of this game 🤬

When you first get this game you think it’s good and it is AT FIRST after one game you realize that every time you hit a good pin like a 100 or 50 you always have to watch an ad you can’t get out of it the name of this game should be AD OVERLOAD it gets SOOOOOO annoying and the option to not watch an ad when you hit a good pin to get an extra ball should be added because it’s annoying getting an extra ball is unnecessary it just gets in the way and after three rounds the levels just repeat themselves over and over again

Ads

Ad came up in the middle of the game.
I know we get ads if we don’t purchase the game and the way ads come up now are worse than ever from all apps.
But there are some games where the ads come up in the middle of the game. Today 3 ads came up while I was playing 1 this app game. I know I am just one person but I think an ad between games is plenty.
I generally don’t play games where ads pop up in the middle of a game.

Ad Breaks? Seriously?

I love pin ball games, and this one is an interesting spin on a classic, but ad breaks? Seriously? Pin ball is all about rhythm and flow. Skill at pin ball comes down to getting the rhythm of a table or game, and using that to your advantage. This game is ridiculous because the ad breaks, randomly, in the middle of the game both disrupt this rhythm and make it impossible to truly get into the rhythm. This could be a 5 star game, but the ads make it a complete waste of time. There isn’t even a way to get rid of the ads, so there is no hope of this game ever being playable. DELETED.

Ads interrupt game play

I don’t mind ads, and I don’t mind paying to remove ads, however, I don’t enjoy having gameplay interrupted for a random ad, and thirty seconds later seeing another at the end of the level. The ads in this game really detract from the enjoyment. It’s a really fun game and interesting to play, but the ads are too frequent and poorly placed. I’m deleting for now, in hopes of finding it improved in the future.

Great game, lots of issues.

Too many adds at random times.

Also it needs a fix so that when a ball gets stuck in a corner bouncing on the same peg, eventually the ball will move. I'm working on a level and I've gotten stuck multiple times because the ball gets stuck bouncing on the same peg. It's a level where all the pegs are one point, so I tend to give up once it's hit 300+ points on the one peg.

Too many ads!

Developer, you keep telling the reviewers that ads are irritating sometimes…they’re irritating ALL the time. Please, at least, give us an option to pay fir no ads! They game would be more fun if we could play a level ad free and not made to take an ad break every 5-10 seconds or so.
3 stars only because there are WAY too many ads…

What is going on here?

I really like the idea behind this game. Too many this app apps are insanely complicated. This one is nice and simple.

But what is going on here? Am I racking up points to earn replays? If so, good. And let me choose more complicated tables when I feel like it. That would be like being in a real this app arcade!

Or am I just grinding through levels? I’m really not sure, but I think this is a level-up kind of thing. That’s not like being in a real this app arcade. So Pinball is an easy delete for me.

Note to the developer: As I said earlier, you’ve got a good idea here. Please don’t ruin it with the level-up stuff. Let us pick and choose our own difficulty levels. I’d gladly pay for a this app game like that.

Very Annoying

This game is fun, but what’s not fun is having an Ad every minute. I timed it. Look I’m all for Ads, but at somepoint it becomes too much and ruins the game. The developer doesn’t care. They give a generic response and expect stuff to change. Their responds to my original review included this. “We’ll do our best to to make it less for your comfort and satisfaction.” Meaning that they don’t really care about the reviewers. And just going to keep the crappy app how it is.

Incredibly Awful Ads

The game is quite chill and all, but in the middle, let me repeat un the MIDDLE of a level, it suddenly stopped and a “Ad Break” icon popped up and went straight to showing the advert. Btw this was on LEVEL 2 of the game!!! When they showed another advert after finishing level one!!! I know that developers have to show ads to make money but not to the point that it makes the game unplayable in the first few minutes!! How is this allowed??

Hate the Ads & UPDATED REVIEW

UPDATED REVIEW: after my original review (see below) I received a response and was asked to update my review. I received the same “standard” response the company has been giving for the last two years. Obviously this developer has no intention of improving the ad interruptions on Pinball )or at least reducing the cost to purchase). Every review has the same complaint about the ads and the company gives the same reply! DO NOT GET Pinball. TOO MANY ADS and the ads INTERRUPT GAME PLAY.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I hate the ads in the this game!! The ads are constant and pop up during games AND at the end of a game!! Most of my time playing is spent waiting for ads. I would purchase the no add version but $4.99 is an extreme price for what the game is about. I do like playing but will probably stop due to the excessive ads!

Too many ads

This game is good but has way too many ads. I don’t mind having to sit through an ad at the end of a level but having an add less than 20 seconds after starting a level is annoying

By

Too many ads

Fun concept, but the "ad breaks" in the middle of a round ruin it. Have ads at the end of levels, fine. But in the middle of a single game-and MULTIPLE Ads during one round-ruins the fun when the ball is bouncing around and suddenly stops moving and you're redirected to an ad. Especially an ad you can't fast forward through. Deleted it.

Fine by itself, but there’s better games out there

I’m not asking for simulation quality physics, but the ball is way too floaty. I get this is probably for kids, but give the ball some mass - it’s not a marshmallow. And it’s silly when you want to use the flippers, you have to use both of them at the same time. Doesn’t make it a challenge at all, especially since the kickback is always enabled; where you really have to try to lose.

I love this game, BUT…

I L*O*V*E this game. I am at level 1793, and the bug(s?) happens more often now. I sent you a screenshot of the bug. The this app loses all value. It doesn’t even show a zero for value. Sometimes, as in this shot, the flippers disappear, I didn't notice that this time until after I purchased 25 gems worth of additional balls. They came in with a numeral on them, but no Flippers.
I am running iPadOS 17.1.2 on an iPad Pro, with an 11” screen.
