I paid for the ad free version and it still requires to watch ads for hints. Kinda ridiculous. Hints can be a great training aid for new players. No one has time to watch ads all the time for a hint especially when you pay for Cribbagecardgame .

I would suggest looking for a different app! Looking for a refund on it now so I can go to a different one.

This is absolutely the worst online card game I have ever encountered. It is a highly animated waste of pixels. The cards move around with minimal input from the player. The scores are tallied faster than anyone can see the deck being redistributed. And, to make matters even worse, every hand is followed by at least one ad. I soon decided I wanted to uninstall the ap, but there was no way to “crash” out of the action. I had to stay in it until the bitter end.

I have been playing the pay version of Cribbagecardgame for quite a few weeks now. I wish it were more random. I can tell you what the cut will be and I can tell you what is in the other players hand. It is very predictable I would not pay for Cribbagecardgame to follow up. played a bunch more games. i repeat….this is not a random game. so sad. i wish i could find one. cuts are predictable. do not waste ur money here.

All the reviews on here that says the bot has the advantage are completely true. Although getting low value hands happens in real life as well, it is much too common to be random in the game, I typically will get 4-6 point hands while the bot averages 20-30 point hands. At the cut the bot almost always scores the first crib with one card lower than you, it’s still a fun app but it’s pretty frustrating to keep losing so significantly.

The game plays pretty well but the ads are simply ridiculous. After practicality every hand one must watch an ad or two. I get that you want to make money but this is maddening. Game time is almost doubled due to the ads with some as much as a minute long. Definitely not a game I’d recommend especially with so many other cribbage games available. I’d give this a 1 out of 10 score.

I’ve played this game a lot, and paid for the add removal. I’m a good cribbage player, it’s one of my favorite games since I was a kid. Cribbagecardgame is aesthetically pleasing, and I like that it breaks down your points at the end.

But the game is rigged for the bot to win. I would have no problem if the bot just played really well, but it takes the fun out of the game when the cards aren’t randomized.

First of all, the bot almost always draws the low card and gets first crib. It becomes more obvious that the cards aren’t random when the bot consistently draws JUST under your card. If you draw a 3, bot draws a 2. If you draw a queen, bot draws a jack. Not always, but often enough that it’s clear the draw isn’t random. And first crib gives a statistical advantage in this game.

Second, the bot is often bestowed a really good hand while you are given garbage, or something subpar. This happens in real life too, but it happens waaay more frequently in this game than it should. Even when you get a really good hand, a lot of times the bot is given something better. It makes the game much less fun when the deck is—quite literally—stacked against you.

Stop with the insanely good bot hands and the bot advantage for first crib. Just let people play the game. It’s not fun when it’s not random.

It’s half decent but still fails where most cribbage apps do: the computer gets everything it needs to peg off you. Like how is that throwing a 3 and a 4, arguably the two safest starting throws, the computer ALWAYS has the matching pair? To add to this when you get a semi decent hand the computer HAS to have something slightly better or only slightly worse to keep pace with you. This kills any fun you might have with Cribbagecardgame . I’d give it 2 and a half if I could but I can’t and it’s not deserving of a three so a two it will stay.

Only the 2nd app I’ve ever deleted. Seems like something new is afoot as there are now substantial ads after each hand. Also, there doesn’t seem to be a way to stop the counting after each hand so you can review & understand the scoring before it’s quickly erased.

Those of us that know Cribbage and continue to play it already believe that the game is fun. Yes, this brings the classic game into the palm of our hands.

This particular one contains the classic board and also shows you what you played and which parts of your hand earned what points. It’s easy to use and the visuals help contribute to that. All in all the game is fun and I love the way the makers implemented the things they did in their app.

However, the ads make the experience abysmal. All of the other cribbage apps contain sidebar ads, as does this, which is fine because everyone needs to make money. That is understandable. This particular one though, plays video ads (which are skippable thankfully) every dang round and it gets extremely annoying. I’m not going to pay the price for their premium to remove ads because there are many other cribbage apps that are almost as good or as good as this one (each one offers unique features so each are good in their own way.)

TL;DR Game is fun and easy to use but the multitude of ads between each round ruins the experience.

I’ve only played a couple of games, but the fun part of playing cribbage is counting up your points. Since Cribbagecardgame does all of that for you, it’s not really like playing with real people. One example would be earning knobs when your opponent misses it. The one thing Cribbagecardgame is good for is teaching you how to count up. Otherwise, it takes most of the fun away.

Cribbagecardgame is fun and quick. I would even pay to get rid of the very annoying ads. The problem is the counting points is very fast and does not allow me to enough time to see how I got to my point total nor do I have the time to add the points for myself to see if I would have counted my points correctly.
I am going to delete this but, once I am more proficient, I would get it again.

Great app for teaching me first how to play cribbage but as I was learning it became apparent that the gameplay favored the bot. I played 9 games and the bot drew the low card every time and got crib first every time. The bot consistently gets 8 and 10 point cribs where I get 4 or 6 points. Also the bot frequently gets great hands with multiple 10s and 5s and I never do. Doesn’t seem like the randomization is fair during game play.

Cribbagecardgame is simple straight forward and explains the game very well
My only issue is the bot
It feels rigged more often than not
Even if I play my best hands it feels like the deal is mainly in favor of the bot which makes playing really frustrating
I wish there were levels to the bot like easy medium and hard

A commercial after every hand slows the pace of the game I wouldn’t mind several at the end of each game

It’s really rigged. You can tell when not is going to win. Not really gets the good cards. It’s a good way to learn how to count and what to save and throw away, other than that it’s one sided.

This is an amazing game for anyone who loves Cribbage. I hadn’t played on two years, so this was the perfect way to refresh my counting skills. Now I’m having a great time playing challenges and sharpening my tactics. I recommend this game as an A+

I would love to see a multiplayer mode released! Other than that I love the style of the game. Some more cosmetic options would also be great!

Don’t worry about the ads. As a long-term cribbage player I definitely know that if you actually played with an opponent with real cards he would spend much more time shuffling dealing and cutting the deck. Quit complaining

The board seems to waste fives in the card play. It happened several times when they threw a five when they should have held it. The program could be improved.

Is there a way to calculate your own score before computer does it?
