When you get to Level 6, there’s a bug that makes it impossible to achieve the goal. They make you “buy” a virtual flight instructor which also has a bug and flies off into space.

The graphics are good, but you will drive yourself crazy trying to achieve Level 6.

[EDIT] after 5 flights I finally realized there is a pause button in the middle of the screen. I am a software professional and I wasn’t able to see that button even after looking for it, multiple times. I would highly encourage you to make the button stand out instead of blend in. This experience has ruined my view and I am switching to another app :/ [ORIGINAL] I land and it keeps tracking. Which isn’t the end of the world but why isn’t there a manual button to end the flight? I have had three consecutive flights be lost because after landing It doesn’t stop

Initially I wrote a very harsh review sighting no support for 3D flight tracking and missing data for one of my flights but I sent an email to John the Wingman creator and explained the issues and he promptly responded. Just getting an immediate response was enough for me to take a second look. It turns out he is continuing to improve ParaglidingTracker and plans to add 3D support as soon as possible. He also explained that sometimes data can be lost if the phone is shielded from the satellite signal. He intends to resolve this by introducing a sensitivity setting allowing the user to reduce the signal accuracy which will increase signal reliability. Also, he told me about a new feature he is developing that will allow users to share their flights with other pilots. So, what started out to be a complaint has now become kudos. Thanks John!

I use ParaglidingTracker to log Powered Parachute (PPC) flights. The map view is superior to other apps I have used. Really love ParaglidingTracker. I can't believe it's FREE.

I appreciate the auto takeoff and land feature. Helps simplify the launch process. Can export your tracks too. Great app! Thanks!

I’m a newbie paraglider so I don’t have much to compare it to, but so far so good using the Apple Watch Ultra as my Vario! I’ve compared the sensitivity / accuracy to my mipbip, and wingman on the Apple Watch Ultra seems to be just as good if not more sensitive.

Only complaint right now is that if my watch dies during a flight, it seems like the data doesn’t save?

Fwiw I don’t have any app development experience but I’m a quite capable data science / ML / stats / data viz person and id be interested in contributing on the analysis and live flight data viz side! In particular id be interested in trying to work in weather model / live weather station info, and potentially info from other pilots that are currently flying with ParaglidingTracker in the same zone. I feel like there is alot of room for more data fun in paragliding devices.

Nice to see the continued improvements I like the interface and the use of my Apple Watch while flying.

It would be nice if you could have a map on your watch but otherwise a great and useful app

My favorite feature of the wing man App is the automatic detection of launch and landing. ParaglidingTracker also helps me determine where the thermals are from the review flight path feature. Great App! Thank you.

I use ParaglidingTracker to track my paragliding flights. It is able to detect launches reliably, it allows me to manually add flights into the logbook, ….. other apps don’t. Easy to use, good UI.

Great app. I’m a particular fan of the takeoff detection option. Really nice to have things quiet while on the ground and to not have to think about starting the flight log one e airborn. Super user friendly. Thanks!!!

Clean interface shows everything you need, and nothing you don't. Consistent logging, and a phone-only vario that stacks up pretty well against dedicated varios. Consistent updates. What more could you ask for?

I have been using ParaglidingTracker for nearly a year and am amazed with the breadth of information it provides on my flight time. The mapping and flight data is extremely helpful when looking over post flight review. I would recommend ParaglidingTracker to anyone as both a primary and secondary cockpit information source! Bravo!

Free version is perfect for a beginner. Beeps, shows altitude, and auto detects takeoff.
