very fun, but there are some problems.

this game is very fun, don‘t get me wrong, but the ads weren’t as prevalent in the first 10 minutes of using CrossLogicPuzzleGame , but now they are after every level. The types of ads that you chose are very Clickbait. They get you to touch the screen so they can bring you to CrossLogicPuzzleGame Store. And I saw another review that said that the ads are only five seconds long. That‘s a complete lie. The ones that happen after every level, that I don’t choose to watch, make you watch at least 10 seconds, then let you skip, but then you have to wait for the interactive part that will click bait you to CrossLogicPuzzleGame Store, and then finally you can skip that part of the ad where you have to wait five more seconds. I understand they have to make money someway, but it’s not very good for your users that watch more ads then getting actual gameplay. And I’m not going to pay you so I can stop seeing your advertisements. At least show them out to every two or three games because after every level it gets very repetitive. I will be uninstalling CrossLogicPuzzleGame because all the other reviews say the same thing. And I hope I never see an ad for this game again. Thank you for your time, a random review person.

>>>New edit. Just opened CrossLogicPuzzleGame to see if the ads were some type of bug, and it gave me 3 ads in a row. just so i could play one level. then it played an ad in the middle of the game. please get another ad producer

Could be wayyyyyy better.

Some of the clues repeat themselves, I don’t need two different clues that give me the same result… each clue should further help your progress. Sometimes the clues are poorly worded and it’s hard to tell what it means (is it an either/or situation, or both/neither situation?) Some clues include jargon that a person that knows nothing about the category would know nothing about (example: if it’s a soccer puzzle it’ll include a clue that has soccer lingo in which only people who know about soccer would know about) keep clues simple so everyone has a fair chance.

My biggest problems with this game are the cases and detective stories!!! I think the cases should update weekly so you can get new cases with that, once you finish the cases part that’s literally it. Also, the detective stories is really primitive considering it’s the same story every. Single. TIME! They claim “a new detective story” every two days, but every time it ends, the next one is always the same one. Please give us new stories to solve every two days.

If the detective stories and cases were updated and gave us more gameplay and different logic puzzles that followed a storyline. CrossLogicPuzzleGame would be nearly perfect. Overall it’s still enjoyable, the ads are annoying and jump in at inconvenient times but even if you don’t pay to have them removed it’s not a dealbreaker.

Not giving awards anymore

I downloaded this game obviously from seeing an ad through something else online. I thought this would be a good way to help me build brain strength again. But I have noticed in the harder levels some clues don’t make sense. The clues are mixed up and the words are confusing, they don’t match the check boxes. No matter how many times you read them and have someone else read them and answer it, the system says it’s wrong. I finally had to keep skipping all of those games. Then there must have been an update because afterward you could actually win a level and you would win awards for free hints then about a week later that stopped and never came back. I don’t get any awards with my wins anymore. Another issue is that this game has way to many ads you have to watch between games, if you need to get a free hint or even when I was winning free skips I was having to watch ads. To check to see if you have anything wrong on the board, another long ad. Other than the awards going away, the long ads, and someone who doesn’t really know how to word clues while linking them to the game board the game is actually pretty cool.

Love the game but too many bugs + I paid but still get ads

This game is awesome. Until it wasn’t. I played it so much, I paid the $4.95 to get the ad-free version. That’s when everything started to go wrong, e.g., if you made some mistakes, the button to see them didn’t work, so you had to do the entire puzzle over (vs) just fix the mistakes. You’d lose all of the correct work you did and could have to replay an entire game 3-4x … incredibly time-consuming. Also, I got to level 137 HARD when other buttons stopped working. I had to delete and re-install the game and start completely over at Easy Level 1. I wanted to scream. Oh wait, I did. I’d also lost all of the hints I’d collected by repeatedly playing the same stupid detective game — which, as far as I can tell, is the only way to earn hints. Somehow, every time I’d save up hints (by playing the SAME detective game over and over and over — did I mention that?), they would end up disappearing. Last night, for the 5th time, I re-did Easy to Normal level just so I could get back to doing harder puzzles (the game had erased my progress on two rounds of the detective game so I finally gave up on that!) … I opened the game up this morning AND I’M BACK TO SQUARE ONE AND HAVE ADS AGAIN DESPITE BUYING CrossLogicPuzzleGame ! Maybe one day the developers will fix all of these bugs and someone can enjoy this game, but I’m done.

love it, but some feedback

i don’t usually write reviews, but this game is very good. i just have some critiques. i love the logic put into it, and i really enjoy the scenarios. the things i don’t like, however, include how when the tasks pop up as an opportunity to get more hints without watching a bunch of ads, you end up watching the same amount of ads throughout the puzzle, if not more, and THEYRE THE SAME AS THE ORIGINAL LEVELS!!!! i don’t like the repetitivity in the tasks, because i have already done the levels and it isn’t entertaining at that point. another thing is that i think there should be more realistic scenarios, rather than just matching colors and animals etc. possibly a murder mystery type vibe. anyways, i would recommend downloading this game, because there are only ads around every 2 minutes or less. you just can’t really get super far on levels without having so much repetitive levels. just realizing i didn’t talk about the story event going through it and the cases. i don’t like the ad after every case. i would download if you haven’t already, but honestly i may delete it soon because of these ads and repetitivity.

I’d love to give 5 stars but…

This game is pretty addicting. If you get easily frustrated over mechanics that seem unfair, it’s not for you. To go from check marks to X’s you gotta remember to hit the switch every time. So when you forget, you make a mistake. You only get three mistakes. You can turn off the mistake counter or up it I think, but that made my game glitch and there’s no fun in that!
I really think the switch mechanic needs an upgrade, maybe something that stands out more so it’s not as forgettable.
Those are just little things. Even with these criticisms I would give it 5 stars. The big thing that made me immediately delete it the recycling of these puzzles.
I played through all the normal levels, and I noticed a few times that I would get the same puzzle. I thought maybe I failed it and forgot, or maybe it was slightly different than before to make it harder.
After finishing normal, I was 15 levels into hard when I got the same exact puzzle as a few levels before. There’s nothing that turns me off a game more than repeatedly doing something I’ve already accomplished. I hope you fix this for future players but I think I pretty much got the whole experience from playing all the normal levels.

Fun but bizarre

I really like this game as it is entertaining and has a lot of levels to work through. But the more I play the weirder it gets. Sometimes the clues are written in a way that is left up to interpretation by the player which is strange for a logic puzzle, a few clues I’ve seen were outright incorrect, and there seems to be some glitches. For example normal puzzle 162 is showing me an attribute (which should be TempUsername 21) that seems to be a clue from puzzle 161 (the red gel cleans your skin perfectly). Normal puzzle 155 should have times as a section of attributes but shows time error codes instead. It’s minimally annoying but definitely something to look into.

Another critique is that I paid for the removal of ads but it only removed the ads in between puzzles. I still must watch ads to check for errors and they are up to a minute long and unskippable if I want to have errors checked. I would be less annoyed if that was clarified in the purchase screen. $4.99 is a fair price for an app to have no ads whatsoever.

Overall solid gaming app but the glitches and ads lessen my ability to enjoy it fully.

Good & bad

Love logic games of this type. I don’t mind ads, but there are too many, repeating of same ads, and some are 30 seconds or longer which is too long. During those, I get up for a drink or snack and pay no attention to them anyway. I agree with others that the screen disappears before I’ve filled in the last box, assuming I got it right. I’d like to be the one to end the screen. One really annoying thing is that I have found some clues to be contradictory. In an either/or situation, neither choice is correct and I assume it’s a glitch, but frustrating all the same. I’m addicted to these puzzles, but too many glitches will make me move on. I’ve also found that when I want to move on to the next puzzle, I keep getting older ones that I’ve already completed, even though there are others I haven’t yet done. Please try to fix these as I really enjoy them and would like to give a higher rating.

Addendum: level 155 in the normal group can’t even be played. The time table is unreadable as all the letters and numbers are superimposed upon each other. I thought it might be my device but when I logged back on, it hadn’t changed. Needs to be fixed, please.

Here’s Why it’s a 4 Star

Hello!

I do have a little issues with the game. I’m not going to be a person complaining about ads cos how else would you guys make money, besides in-app purchases. Ads are a necessary evil to any mobile game. My issue is when an ad fails to appear, the game stops working and I can’t do anything, but close it and reopen it. It can be a bit frustrating when I’m trying to binge play while I’m killing time or being bored. If the developers can see this, could you fix it ASAP. I’m using an iPhone 13 mini and I’m in the process of switching jobs and I can’t really afford to buy the version with no ads. Call me a stickler with money, but some sacrifices need to be made. Other than that, the game is super fun with new and daily challenges. I only started playing recently and I’m hooked. I like testing my logic skills and I think this is really helping me feel more confident in my educated guesses. I really wanna keep the game and keep playing. In conclusion, I wanna give the game 4 stars, but if the change happens sometime soon, automatic 5 stars. Thank you for your time and have a great day!

My new favorite game, but…

I play this game every single day, now. This is an amazing app that I can really see going somewhere. Just a couple of things.
1. As someone already mentioned, some of the statements are confusing and could be taken different ways. Not a huge deal, and I expect this will get better, if we support CrossLogicPuzzleGame .
2. I’ve noticed some mistakes. There aren’t many, but it’s enough to frustrate you and make you not enjoy the game as much. For example, the level I just finished (Normal 137, I think), one of the clues said “pot” but should have said “pan”. Pot, and pan, were both options, btw, and because of the mistake, you’d get the whole puzzle wrong. I replayed the level on “minimize mistakes” mode and was able to figure out the mistake within the level. Again, not a huge deal but, if it happens a lot you’ll get frustrated.
3. Overall, I’m really looking forward to seeing what the developers do in the future. They’ve got a great thing going and it’s clear they’ve got the goods to make an awesome app. I’d love to be a part of it and help in any way. Best of luck!

Great game, minor issue

I can definitely say ‘Cross Logic’ has intrigued me and I really enjoy playing it. I maxed out the first level fairly quickly and am now getting through the second, which I am liking. My current problem is when I click on CrossLogicPuzzleGame the detective (logo) appears and begins to shrink, but the level select never pops up. It’s just the detective with a blank screen all around. This happened once before and CrossLogicPuzzleGame was up to date. After a few days of trying I had to entirely delete CrossLogicPuzzleGame , download it again and start over. It’s now starting to cause the same problem again. I have restarted my phone, recently added the new update to it and everything else I could think to do, but it still will not allow me the option to play. There is nothing to select. If this little issue was fixed I wouldn’t have any complaints. The ads aren’t as excessive as other reviews said, especially with the option to skip after only a few seconds. Though I do hope there are additional puzzles added soon, I still enjoy it.

Could be good but problems with clues and other things prevent it

I have been doing CrossLogicPuzzleGame long enough to know that the “special events” are all the same Mayor’s daughter has been kidnapped. Literally the same event series four times in a row. Then you have the clues. Theoretically every clue should lead to at least one new piece of information, even if it is a negative and doesn’t seem to do much. But outside of easy mode, a number of puzzles have clues that are completely or mostly repeats of other information (i.e. one clue giving an entire line of clues and then the next one saying that we have to figure out which one of two options where one of the options was just answered or another that wasn’t must be the answer, thus negating the clue) and others where nothing is even hinted at to the point where entire boxes of information are left blank (i.e. you have to figure out which profession wears what, needs what, and finishes at what time but nothing is actually mentioned in any of the clues about time) that finishing has to be a guessing game rather than an act of deduction. These do not lead to confidence going forward

Enjoyable, but not perfect

I’d love to give this game 5 stars, but I can’t. First, the “bonus” game that allows you to earn hints is the same one every time. Surely a fresh game can be created periodically? The cases (more extensive story development) could be used for this purpose.

It’s a fun game, but frustrating until you pay the $4.99 to remove the ads. I generally don’t mind they, but for my money I want to see a lot more normal and difficult puzzles made available, with new puzzles on a frequent basis. With the lack of new bonus puzzles and fresh content, almost feels as if CrossLogicPuzzleGame is someone’s occasional hobby instead of their focus. The premise is very good, but it needs more attention. To the developer: Go check out the Happy Color app. Those folks are constantly creating new content and that’s why they have a lot of users who think it’s worth it to pay to remove ads. There’s an entire Facebook group that has cremated s community around that app. You need to create that culture with CrossLogicPuzzleGame.

Was one of the better Logic games

Available for IOS. I’d actually like to give CrossLogicPuzzleGame 3 1/2 stars. There are 3 levels to choose from, so basically everyone will find a place for them to start. The only thing that gets to me is that darn toggle button you have to slide every time from an X to a check mark. If you happen to forget to toggle, it will count as a mistake (you are “allowed” 3). All other Logic problem apps use the one click for an X and two clicks for a check mark. Needless to say, I have made more “mistakes” from forgetting to toggle than for selecting the wrong answer. Otherwise, there are no “real” issues besides a few grammar errors, which you should be able to easily figure out. But that toggle button? It has got to go ASAP. Developers, please get rid of the toggle so I can change my rating to 5 stars. I said if you got rid of the toggle, I would change my review to 5 stars. You did your part of the bargain so I did mine. 5 stars all the way. Thank you developer(s) for listening!!!

Inconsistent Clues & Too Many Ads

I love the idea behind this game and have played a few levels of each difficulty setting. I’ve found issues with the phrasing of some of the questions, particularly in comma usage. You have to be careful when listing things because commas in a series may sometimes read as nonessential phrases and it really throws off the logic part of the puzzle. I read one once that was along the lines of “Tina, the person who scored a 67, and (someone else) took the easy, hard, and impossible tests” (note, I’m paraphrasing the clue itself, but not the structure of the sentence). The phrasing here makes it seem like Tina scored a 67, but this was not the case. Little things like that go a long way, especially when you only get three mistakes in a level.

Also, the amount of Ads is frankly annoying. One plays after every single level, sometimes even interrupting my level while I’m still working on it. I understand that ad revenue is where the developers get their money, but I would seriously consider paying for an ad-free version of this game. That’s not currently an option that I could find.

Free, but a bit broken

First off: if you’re not sure what they’re selling, it’s probably you.
Nothing is free, but this doesn’t cost you any money unless you’re a fool. I worked my way through the Insane and Hard levels (there aren’t that many), then I did the normal ones. A few of these are just straight up unsolvable based on the given information. Perfectionists beware; it’s very frustrating. If you want an example, the “normal” one labeled “computer games” never mentions Normal or Easy in any clue, but you’re supposed to figure out which of the two remaining games is which. That’s simply impossible unless you can eliminate one of the options. There was no help to be found on Google, since all you can find is the answers, not the logic behind them. At that point it becomes a guessing game, which is not what I want to play. There are plenty of better guessing games on the market aside from this “puzzle game”.
Anyway, as soon as I work through all the normal ones I will delete it, because I have never seen an “event” occur outside from when I first downloaded the game.
So there you go.

It’s…alright😒

So I gave it a three because it really only has the same pattern when you play it. And so some other reviews that I read said it was too short and too many adds, and the normal stuff people put in reviews. There are adds and they aren’t that long just don’t put so many ya know? And also something to could do, is when you first get into the game there is a tutorial, and some people already know how to do stuff like these games. I just wanna say maybe add like a “exit tutorial” button to press to end the tutorial. Overall it’s “ok” I mean the game is good, and also maybe make the story’s more… EXCITING! So that when people have a small case to solve just make it exciting. Instead of doing dog story’s, of like how many dogs people have😃 But I have my own opinion, that’s just what ī think of it! So I would recommend reading this before getting CrossLogicPuzzleGame , ANY review before getting CrossLogicPuzzleGame , if you are adhd or something that can’t handle like waiting!

Side note: just telling the problems of the game for me not a hate review if the creator reads this and thinks that🙃

One of the best logic puzzle apps out there

This is one of my absolute favorite logic puzzle apps. It’s challenging and interesting. I like the options of different levels of difficulty. My only couple of complaints would be the charts being too small on higher difficulty levels. So sometimes my fingers tap on the wrong box by accident- also causing me to forget which box I did tap so I can undo the mistake (there should be an undo button). My second problem is the level glitches. After getting to level 30ish on the hard difficulty and returning to the main menu, then clicking back to the hard level game, it will shuffle to an random level I’ve already completed. So if it says I’m on level 35 and I click to play the level, it opens up and is on level 11 or 21. Which is very frustrating because then I would technically just have to complete those levels all over again till I got back to my original level I was set next to play.

Problems

I love the idea of a logic game; however, there are way too many ads just popping up, then the game does not respond and causes my iPhone to be frozen. The game is constantly being stuck even when there isn’t an ad popping up but the most annoying part is that once I downloaded this game it is making my iphone go bonkers like not allowing me to answer my phone , move on to another screen etc. One other thing is; I played the special detective part, completed it, then a day later, it said a new story so I started it, only to realize that it was the same exact story. The things the other person said in their review I have to agree with. I think the concept is great but I am going to have to delete this game because of the problems with my phone 🥹. I hope you can upgrade whatever you have to, in order for the game to function well with all devices. I will check back from time to time to see if there are any improvements but in the meanwhile I have no choice but to bow out. Good luck and I hope you solve these issues; once you do, I will be a dedicated customer.

Challenging fun, requires patience

This game is super addictive and I find myself looking forward to playing it daily. After about a month of play I’ve experienced that the puzzles are challenging, but once you figure out the right process then each puzzle you do goes by faster. The reason I’m not saying 5 stars is because so many of the hints as well as overall puzzle themes are confusing, incomprehensible, or just plain wrong. Roughly every four or five puzzles, I find myself watching ads to obtain hints just so I can stop banging my head against the wall trying to decode strangely worded and misleading hints. For example, on Normal 108 a hint is “It is important to note that Bertram has saved ten princesses,” but counts putting a check at the cross of Bertram and 10 princesses as a “mistake”. If this happened every 20 or so puzzles I’d understand as it’s hard to generate a hundreds of scenarios in the same format, but the fact that about 25% of the levels are ridiculously confusing makes it a little discouraging. Otherwise, entertaining and challenging game.

Poor translations

I love logic puzzles like these but one of the most important parts of those logic puzzles is comprehensive clues. The most recent event feels like it was put through google translate, it is such a mess. Running your clues past a copyeditor of some kind with a good grasp of English would help a lot.

The ads are never-ending— on average one in between every puzzle you complete (which is fairly quick back to back because the puzzles in CrossLogicPuzzleGame are not complex at all)— and I can find a way to tolerate it when I can at least move on to the next puzzle. However, when the word salad clues inevitably lead to me failing a puzzle, I am presented with two options: Restart or Erase Mistakes (watch an ad). I have learned that, of course, it doesn’t matter which you click on because you will be shown an ac regardless. It makes it frustrating to try and see if you can solve the nonsense puzzles when you know that you’re just going to get another overly intrusive ad shoved in your face.

Also, the current event is weirdly aggressive? The storyline is a popular girl is trying to get a more plain girl a date but she’s so incredibly hostile. I’m not expecting all sunshine and rainbows but she calls the normal girl a half-wit, a cow, and the like. Maybe it is another thing that got lost in some kind of translation but that is a level of callous that isn’t really funny. It’s just off-putting.

Game within a game to move on in the game

The game is fun, makes you think and feel like a detective. My only problem with the game is not even the ads, it’s the fact that you download a detective game and a mark the square game but in order to move on you need keys and the only way to get keys is playing a game within the game that has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the game you downloaded. And that is not even the worst part, you end up playing this game more than the actual check the box game because you need 30,000 points in order to move on to the next level, which is near impossible to do by playing that game once. So it is more you downloaded this game and the check the box is an add on to the game.

Chapter 2 requires 30 keys in order for you to open it. So in order for you to get 1 key you need 100 points in a like-Tetris-game. They give you 3 shapes and you need to place them on the board. You need to complete a square or a line to get some points, you also do get some points by placing the shape in the board but the points are so minimum you don’t get to too 100 easily. Not only that but chapter 3 uses 40 keys and they don’t add up. So after you get the 30 keys, meaning 30,000 points you need to get 40,000 for the chapter 3.

NEW DETECTIVE STORIES PLEASE

I really do love this game but I couldn’t justify more than a 3 star rating for 3 reasons. One, sometimes the clues make no sense (because of the wording or not enough detail given) or are contradictive, and this is incredibly annoying at times. Two, I hate how the iPhone app is different than the iPad app. iPhone has that stupid section where you have to play a Tetris like game to unlock keys to play more levels. I didn’t download this and pay for add free to play a stacking game. If I wanted that, I would’ve downloaded that. Your progress between iPad and iPhone doesn’t sync either, so you’re redoing puzzles all the time essentially. Three, WE NEED NEW DETECTIVE STORIES!! You’re given around 2 days to complete one, before it expires and the next one starts. You can also watch an ad to extend the one you’re on, or to skip ahead to the next one. But there are only 2 separate stories, so there’s really no point trying to skip ahead or drag one out, because you’ll see it again in 2 days anyway! Why have it time limit on it if you’re only giving us the same 2 anyway? Like I said, I really do enjoy this game but it’s continuing play ability is wearing out since it’s just repeating itself. MAKE. MORE. NEW. PUZZLES. PLEASE.

Fun but flawed

Overall I enjoy this game, but there are a couple of problems. 1. Several of the puzzles do not give you adequate clues to solve them. You’ll be down to two unsolved combinations and literally have to guess because there isn’t enough info. 2. Even if you pay to remove ads, you still have to watch an ad to get a clue, remove mistakes, or skip a puzzle. I wouldn’t mind that so much except for the issue with inadequate clues. If you have to guess because there isn’t enough info to solve, and you guess wrong, you have to either start over for free or watch an ad to get past the mistake. They are making extra money from me watching ads because their game is flawed, which seems slightly skeevy. 3. There’s no system to report things like the inadequate clues issue. 4. The game tells you every week or two there is a new special event, which you have to watch an ad to access (even if you paid for the game). When if you click through, it’s always the same event. They are making money by making you watch an ad and not giving you any value. Overall the game has the feel of one that’s been abandoned by the development team. If they aren’t going to support it, they should stop selling it.

fun game, but Detective Stories are basically useless, fake rewards, fake timer?

I’ve had this game for a long time but stopped playing for a while, until around a week ago. The “Detective Stories” were a new feature I noticed, so I played and completed part 1 of the mayor’s daughter story, and most of part 2. It said I had 1 day, and 23 hours left to finish it.

The next day I return to CrossLogicPuzzleGame the finish the story, and a new one has appeared. It hadn’t been 1d, 23 hours, like it said. Almost every single day since, the same thing has happened. It never saves my progress, so I haven’t been able to complete one full story yet. It also says I have exactly 1d, 23 hours to complete the story every single day, so is the timer fake? I got the same mayor’s daughter story again last night, completed some of it, and today the same story is still there, but no progress was saved as usual.

I also haven’t been rewarded for the parts I have completed. It says I’m supposed to win 3 hints for completing part one of a detective story, which I’ve done at least 3-4 times, yet I still only have 3 hints total.
