Helicopter Escape 3D Reviews

Initially the game was different and fun…until I realized there is an ad after EVERY level. Granted you can skip the ad after 3 seconds (plus 5 seconds after you click skip), but I am tired of every game having ads. I would be willing to throw a couple of bucks for the game just to not have ads. In addition to the ads they want you to buy things. What game doesn’t want to sell you boosters, coins, and gems. Included with the purchase is freedom from ads. It doesn’t say for how long. I would guess a number of levels, starting at one level, for however much you spend. I wasn’t willing to shell out five bucks (the minimum) to find out. Like many other games that includes ads at every level or two this one is going into the delete bin.

Update - they had an update a week ago and now I can only play the bonus rounds. This new bullet feature freezes everything. I’ve emailed them three times and am being ignored. Original post - Ilove this game. Lots of fun. I have two suggestion. I would like to be able to turn off the slow motion. It throws me off. While it can be helpful, sometimes it gets in the way. Another suggestion is to have a continuous round. Having the girl running away from bad guys until you run out of shields. A different stash of shields then the normal rounds. Say start with 5 shields and see how long she can last until caught. By the way the support button in the game does not work.

…just ad-ware. You’ll want to play. You’ll want to figure out how to progress but in the end you’ll just get an ad that can’t be cleared. Deleted.

**update: thx developer. Of course we all know what you say. You don’t work for free. That said, you make money in an extremely annoying manner. Full screen ads for 30-60 seconds with no option to close, is not free. It takes an immense amount of my time. By the time the game comes back, I’ve forgotten what it is I’m playing or where I am in the game. As such, it gets deleted and/or play of your game ends prematurely. You drive customers away.

I’ve noticed that many games offer a No-Ad option to pay. Problem is that they fully execute on full screen ads before we, as customers, are able to get hooked or engaged…or even have learned how to play. Another short-sided design. Perhaps you should rethink your model.

…and thx for pointing out its my opinion. Of course everybody who reads knows this. Still, they have a right to know they are downloading frustration.

I’ve been playing this game for a while. It’s a good game to pass the time any purchase you make disable the ads so it’s livable. The problem comes in when they update the game. None of the weapons that I previously purchased are usable in the main part of the game, they are only usable on the games where you can earn gears. I even tried buying another weapon with the endgame dollars and it still won’t let me use that weapon the only way to fix it is to delete it and re-download it but then I lose all of my purchases, this is not the only device I have this game installed on. I have it installed on two other devices one device I’ve spent at least $100 on upgrades and it all went away when the game updated play this game if you like but don’t buy anything because you won’t have it long. Will probably only last until the next update. Also, I wrote to their app support and never received an answer so they get a bad review.

Great game so far. Has been fun to play. However, in order to do anything you must watch ad’s. Sure you can purchase something to “remove ads” and it’s partially true. I’ve mAde 3 purchases and no longer am forced to watch ads between levels. However, anytime you earn something (new head, top, bottoms, Heli) you must watch an ad to receive it.

They also nickel and dime you on rewards. So if you want to earn more rewards to upgrade your weapons you must watch an ad after every level. Sure you can skip the add but that upgraded weapon is 20k in rewards and you only earn an avg of 150 per level so you’ll earn it in 100 levels give or take. Or you can watch ads and earn it in 1/3 of the time.

I also dislike how you can’t look at the stats of a new weapon before purchasing it. The only way to see that information is to use your rewards to purchase it. So you’re forced to use those hard earned reward points to purchase an upgrade you may not even want or like. Because you won’t know until you purchase it.

Short version: fun game but no matter what you’ll have to watch ads.

I’ll start by saying I’m 58 and I really enjoy playing this game. It’s a great time killer. Easy to learn, intuitive controls and fun characters. However, DO NOT waste your money buying shields. I have purchased 30 shields for $2.99 twice now. The first time I was surprised they were used up so quickly. I’m not the best player I’m sure, but I don’t mess up very often. I have paid very close attention with the second purchase. Last night I went to bed owning close to 30 shields and today opened the game to find 16 shields. As I played tonight I noticed the game using shields when there was no enemy touching me and at times using 2 shields when 1 bullet came at me. $2.99 isn’t a lot of money, but I hate being robbed. So no more shields, or any other purchases, from me. Hopefully the developers actually read this and fix the error or correct a deliberate flaw whichever the case may be. I would gladly buy other things or more shields if the game was honest.

After the initial 3 rounds. I’m unable to click to continue. I thought it was that it needed an update and it did. So I updated it. But that did not fix this issue. The game is so much fun that I bought the ad free version after the first two rounds. But now, having spent a couple bucks, I’m unable to play the game. I’ve uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. I’ve closed HelicopterEscape3D and opened it back up. I’ve done all that I know to do. I can access my resources so I know it’s not my iPad. I can also click on the monster that says you have to defeat 15 rounds to get to him. Why isn’t the game letting me move forward to round 4? If this were not an issue, it would be a 5 star rating from me. Because other than not being able to play, it’s one of the most fun games I’ve ever played on the iPad. Please fix this bug. Or tell me what I’m doing wrong. Thanks much.

I’ve struggled to play this the most annoying thing is I unlocked so much just to have them hit me with bullets because they shoot before you can engage if you can actually see anything but trees and grass even on the events I don’t mind watching ads or working for some slow cash but talk about terrible I put a lot of effort just quit playing because glitch’s destroy my shields then you need more shields would you like to watch a ad for 3 more how about letting us see the people or at least the freaking building before I’m shot three times it’s also a recurring issue so reloading won’t fix it you just have to hope that this time it will work, I was suckered in don’t waste your time and/or money just play something else or you might end up being stuck and helpless on level 512 because that’s what happened to me

The ads are a little excessive, especially for some rounds that are very short but the game was still really fun and something you could get a quick round in. Guns selection is great and the outfits are ok(there’s a lot of really dumb ones that look to be afterthoughts to fill in). There needs to be way more helicopters though, there’s a bunch of cool ones but you pretty much get all the choppers early. There’s so many more cool themes you could put on there.
But the biggest issue is the new update. IT IS TERRIBLE. It was already challenging to use your thumb on the screen to move the crosshairs around because you could cover up part of the screen and those little guys could sneak in. But now with no crosshairs and no auto fire it’s no longer fun, there’s too many bad guys chasing to keep up with no auto fire. I actually don’t mind it for the houses when you circle around but in the levels where the target is being chased it’s way too much tapping of the screen, it’s just annoying now. Unless that’s fixed I can’t recommend the game and will probably delete it.

I do enjoy playing this game very much. The only main issue is how long it takes to earn any money. Unless you waste real money on this game you’ll spend more time watching optional ads to make more money than actually playing the game and either option just takes too long. I’m almost on level 300 already and my next guns cost 30k! You only get 140 per level so at this point it’s just an inching game and I still have 20+ guns left to discover. Wish that and the extreme repetitiveness of the game could change some. Other than that it’s a great game but only worth 3 stars in my opinion.

This is a great game and some of the weapons I would love to purchase but 799 and 899 for a weapons upgrade is ridiculous I would pay at most $1.99 and I probably would’ve bought 10 by now because of how cool some of the weapons are but you obviously are in it for a money grab and I will never purchase another game by this company again just because it’s really unfair to charge that much for a video game upgrade for a game that has basically 10 of the same things repeated over and over that is all peace out…✌🏻 I gave three stars for the poor choice of pricing but the game is fun but needs more levels.

Game is very addicting, I love playing it. The only issue I have is during the rooftop or street chases. The helicopter angel or view is at about 200 feet of the ground at a 45 degree. And you see the person you are trying to save jump (what) next second the helicopter is hovering 6 feet of the where the person is jumping - also the guy shooting from the helicopter takes about 25% screen real-estate there should be a button to hide the shooter because your thumb takes another 25% and sometimes they come from everywhere

The ads game itself is a very fun ads time killer, and I enjoy the ads weapon variety ads as well as the different ads bosses. But, even ads after you buy ads something to remove the ads, you didn’t remove anything ads. Want to pick up that new ads helmet you earned? Ad. Want to pick the ads extra cash ads up so you aren’t spending ads 2 years to buy one new weapon? Ad. The game asks you if you want ads to try out a new and exotic weapon? Oh yeah, that ad is coming. Ads, ads, and more ads, as far as the ads eye can see. If you could exit out of them after a few seconds, I’d give this game 5 stars. But, as it is, even after you pay to remove them, you get maybe 1 minute of gameplay and 2 minutes of ads. And yes, I inserted “ads” throughout this review that a developer might read it and see how it feels. I’m going to shove a sharpened pencil up my nose and headbutt my desk if I have to see one more unskippable Gardenscapes ad.

I’ve been with this game for a while now and have well ober $500k, and around 4600 bears in the bank. I love the recent weapon upgrades, and believe me, I have all of them. There was one I purchased several weeks ago, a ten shot weapon, that has yet ro show up in my armory. That is my only complaint.

The new upgrade with multiple running rescues is a nice surprise, well done with that. A thought or two about targets and scoring: Include satellite dishes, money, gold, in the mix. The dishes are especially hard to nail and not all weapons have the ability to take them out. Timing is also critical in taking out the dishes on the buildings as the target window is very narrow.

Thanks for such a great game. The weapon upgrades are great as are the new field upgrades. Think about the satellite dishes as point earning targets, they are challenging.

After updating to iOS 15.5 the game lost all sound? Background music, game sound and even advertisements play but without sound. Imagine being an advertiser that pays for an audio dependent ad that repeatedly plays without sound. ROFL. Bad guys still quiver after they are shot which is cool. Levels end without giving you any more opportunities at shooting after killing the last bad guy. What’s the fun with that? And why can’t you do headshots on zombies during chase scenes like you can when circling a building. Not as cool.

as addictive as it is it has the potential to be better. First the Bosses are always the same so that’s easy. You can’t get extra shields unless you run out or beat a world and possibly pick the correct chest. I shouldn't have to spend real money on shields. The guns aren’t that great unless you spend real money on them. If it wasn’t for the easy repetitive bosses or the fact that you have to spend real money for certain items then the game to me would be perfect..

Don’t get me wrong, I love this game since I started playing it about 3mos ago today. I’m basically playing it whenever time permits me, so I’m currently at Level 6073 in WORLD 51 and my gun store is not showing, it just say COMING SOON so I’m just wondering if there will be any updates coming soon, otherwise I’ll just play and save more money for more better guns🤣 Thanks for this addicting and entertaining game that keeps me from falling asleep on my graveyard shift👍🏻

I am a retired, 70 year old grandpa, who is always looking for ways to occupy any free time that I have. This game has been awesome!!! I like that this game keeps your interest, doesn’t “crash” like other games I have played and is easy to customize to your style of play. I have seen reviews that state there are too many “ads”, however they are easy to get rid of. I am at level 12,711 and have not spent a dime on this game. I have recently showed my grandsons this game, and they are as hooked on it as I am!
I am currently looking for other games from this developer. Awesome, awesome, awesome game!!!!

The game is very addictive to play you just want more there are just so many ads it makes you loose the excitement of the game. Now I’m to the characters the girl you save like why is it always her. The people you save should change throw in some Objectives in the game like kill count and headshots n etc. love the game though 5 star in my opinion my son definitely loves it but it’s the ads for him

This game is great to play but starts to repeat itself if you play long enough. I have been playing every day for months and while it is fun it’s basically the same levels and same bosses with each “new” level. It plateaus in difficulty and becomes fairly easy once you get the higher end tactical shotguns. I think it’s funny because they don’t seem to have any plan to make levels harder once you get around 15 hundred under your belt. Seems as though it’s just repeat what basically amounts to the same levels. Don’t get me wrong I love knowing what to expect but a challenge would be nice. The thing is, I have fought the same big monsters all at least 3 times over and can knock out the bosses that chase you in about 10 seconds. Just decrease the damage the guns do as you upgrade. I will continue to enjoy playing and like the chance to get new costumes in events.
