Glitchy and Offensive

PokerPowerPlay is incredibly glitchy and nearly unusable at times, so it doesn’t even fulfill its own practical purpose. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg of the problematic mess PokerPowerPlay is.

PokerPowerPlay is offensive and created in bad faith. I initially downloaded Poker Power simply because I heard about a more engaging way to learn the game. At first, it was positive to hear that it was targeted toward women+ to include us in a game we’re often excluded from. But after seeming the “+” of women+ ignored and non-binary people erased from the language and imagery of PokerPowerPlay , it became obvious that gender inclusion and diversity are just a guise to get you in the door.

Secondly, and worse in my opinion, is the article I read from the founder that prompted me to finally delete PokerPowerPlay. She suggests that the reason women struggle to negotiate raises or get into positions of power is because we lack the skills that poker teaches, not because we are battling a patriarchal society built on our discrimination. To suggest “the greatest weakness for women has always been money” in a way that blames them and their implied deficiencies rather than the societal and systemic factors at play is deeply offensive and frankly the exact kind of sexism the founder is claiming to fight.

I’d rather learn poker anywhere else than this glitchy, sexist mess of a company.

App crashes

Often times I cannot play and it just sits there like it’s doing something
Inside of problem

I like poker and playing the game not real people not bots

But also today I had Q hearts flush and should have won the game as the person who did win had only an 8 hearts and therefore
Something seems to be going wrong
Dore to after it showed her as the winner
PokerPowerPlay crashed as described again for like the 5th time and
Seems there’s more to playing on PokerPowerPlay than I can put up with.
Thank you for trying but prefer an app that does not crash and places the correct winning hand
Enjoyed what time I played on your site as CHIPS.

Fun but glitchy

The game will suddenly restart not signaling who won. Also, the confirm button when you raising the bid is all the way at the bottom of the screen to the pint you can’t tap to submit your bid. Very annoying, because I do enjoy playing the game,

New update is awful

It just updated & now nothing is working right, it will randomly say “game over” even when there are plenty of chips & players left, & it doesn’t always show you your cards. I think I’m moving on to another app.

Freezes, Cannot Use

New phone, max space, but still can’t use PokerPowerPlay. I have loads of apps, but there is nothing more frustrating than not being able to use something you want to. I wish I could say it’s just me and my experience or something to do with Mercury in retrograde, but this is also what a few friends of mine found when they downloaded it recently, too. Bummer.

Poker Is An Art

I suggest revising the basic instructions provided in PokerPowerPlay . For instance, in lesson 7, the statement that "limping is the weakest move you can make" could be rephrased. While it's true that limping is typically considered a “weaker” play compared to raising weak hands, I think you should avoid instructing people to “always raise any hand you want to play” without clear explanation. They will go broke quickly.

When a player limps into a hand, they are simply matching the big blind amount to see the flop without investing additional chips or showing strength in their hand.

It's essential to be cautious with absolute terms like "always" and "never" in poker advice. There are few situations in poker where actions should truly always or never be taken. Poker is a nuanced game that often requires flexibility and adaptability.

Slow performance

Great app but it has been having poor performance lately. When I select contact support nothing happens. I’ve been in a game and close to winning but PokerPowerPlay all of the sudden marks me as if I’m away or waiting and I try to click on something and nothing happens. Had been happening multiple times lately.

Don’t update

I was prompted to update PokerPowerPlay . There is a video call feature, but hardly any thing else is showing. No cards, players, or chips. Please hurry and fix this.

Great if it didn’t freeze

Love the tournament games but freeze on a regular basis mid-game. Has happened multiple times - enough to be very annoying. Other than that, PokerPowerPlay is good

LOVE the concept - when it works.

I really do love the concept here, and the fact that all the players are (presumably amateur) women.

However, I find it frequently freezes & the games never actually take off. Please fix this, I really want to see this take off.

Fun but needs work

My biggest complaint is that PokerPowerPlay doesn’t update my stats correctly with wins or hands played, which is a real bummer. It failed to record one of my days (ruining my streak) and it hasn’t updated my # of plays or wins in 3 days. Overall, I like the general concept and the simplicity of the lessons, I just wish it offered More. I don’t know exactly what that “more” is but it just feels a bit light in the education part. Maybe if the practice games offered some tips and lessons in-play to tie everything back to the lessons while you are playing the bots, it would feel more helpful.

mid game

the game is too slow and feels laggy and also unnecessary long wait times after each hand, also you can’t press to show your hand when everyone folds to you

This app is awesome

PokerPowerPlay has helped me so much & has improved my confidence. PokerPowerPlay is a safe place to learn Texas hold em poker & allows women to gain confidence in learning to bluff, taking calculated risks & practicing strategy. It’s also introduced me to a whole community of women who are driven like myself. PokerPowerPlay not only walks you through poker in an easy to understand way but now also offers a subscription option where you can do some awesome learning videos from professional women poker players. As it turns out, poker is not difficult to learn & im so glad I came here to find that out. Download PokerPowerPlay & give it a go :) start with the first game walkthrough. Enjoy!

Love Poker Power

Gone are the days of doom scrolling on IG. Playing on Poker Power is so fun and well designed. I play atleast one community game a day and every time the outcome is unexpected. Obsessed!

Genuinely excellent

Definitely a win to learn and compete in different levels of the game.

Thousand percent recommend

So much fun!!

I love PokerPowerPlay and i love playing poker! Thank u all for making it and focusing on women playing the game! It has helped all the business i run!!

Bots?

Too many bots in the game and advertising the game on social media platforms. Seems like bots at the table no one ever responds or knows how to play. Overall the game is slow and glitchy needs some work and updates.

Great for learning live

Awesome app if you’re a beginner or intermediate player. Love this initiative

Great for Beginners and Intermediate players

PokerPowerPlay is great for beginners and intermediate players. The cheet sheet, the table tour, Raise or Fold and Deal the Flop, are all amazing tools to help you better understand the game.
I love that I can create my own game and play with friends or co-workers. We can even turn the cameras on and speak to one another, which is great when so many of us are in different parts of the world.

Love this app

Great app to learn and play with friends!
