Pile: Collect Bookmarks & Art Reviews

Not full screen on iPad. Did not realize this when I purchased. It works, but the screen is low resolution, and only uses a small section of screen, like other iPhone only apps do.

Mine is a convoluted mess, the items stay in the main feed even after I put them into folders, which are also unorganized and difficult to sort through. Deleting the items from the feed also deletes them from the folders. This is a great idea but it is just so poorly implemented and at this point should not be a paid app.

Tried contacting the developer through Pile but unfortunately received no response.

I really like Pile, some feedback:

1. If i want to select a folder to share under in the iOS share menu, this app makes me wait until the preview is done loading; on some sites this takes 3-4 seconds & I get impatient
2. Selecting a folder to save under, the save button and folders are all at the top of the screen - I have to stretch my hands. Not a good design pattern for mobile
3. Poor reddit support; No way to back up the actual text of a post or comment (link only), preview loads very slowly, and if I save a link to a comment, this app titles my bookmark with the post title instead of the comment text
4. Makes me a little uneasy saving my bookmarks in this app knowing I can never export them - if a competitor with similar features to this app came along but offered export, I would switch asap just to protect myself from lock-in

I use it mainly to organize and save posts from Reddit. It works way better and is much simpler than pocket. I highly recommend it!

Was recommended Pile by a family member and instantly love it! Perfect for organizing all my images and gifs! It is elegant, simple, and straightforward which makes it exceptionally useful. It reminds me of what Pinterest used to be back in the day before it became a zany hellscape of imagery and ads. I just want to organize my digital life and this allows me to do so very easily. Thank you! My only suggestion would be I would love a profile avatar! Maybe in a small bio or something. It needs to feel a little bit more personal. That would be my two cents.

I’m a serial link hoarder and can’t let go of stuff. But organizing feels like a chore. this app lets me dump things into thematic buckets and search them easily, AND get a quick visual scan of my stuff instead of a text list.

Pile is the pinnacle of organization despite a quick, scattered day. It’s fast, it gathers everything, and it presents it in such a user friendly way. With Pile I’m starting to feel like my phone is truly becoming part of my brain because I can’t live without it!
