You want to charge me five dollars a week for this? This is not the type of software that works well as an SaaS. You are providing me an app not a service. What do I actually get every week for my five dollars? Are you providing new filters or features every week? Even if you charged five dollars a month for TrueVHS I would not subscribe. Not really sure how many subscriptions you may have but you’re not getting one for me. Good luck. Uninstalled.

I have been searching for a good VHS tape app since forever! And I thought I found it. This has everything changeable dates, different filters, and the ability to make film and picture. But if you don’t have a subscription you can’t have any audio! It is physically impossible to change the loudness of the audio without a subscription, and they preset it so that you cannot hear it! I am deleting TrueVHS right now because it is worthless to me! Please fix this.

No app should ask $10/month of you while not providing any new and meaningful content. A subscription model is fine if it offers something of continued value but TrueVHS is a gimmick at best. Don’t get me wrong, the filters are great! It’s just far too steep for what it is. I would pay $10 for this one time but I would not pay $10 per month.

I loved using TrueVHS!.. for the first two days that is. This has (almost) everything, date settings, view settings, you name it, they have it! The ONE thing that it doesn’t succeed with is the subscription… I REALLY don’t understand why someone would think paying 5 dollars a week would be a good payment??? Not to repeat everyone else but could you PLEASE make TrueVHS a one time payment?? Even 10 to 20 dollars would be good enough, I really do love this application for what it is! Just wish this would be simply a one time payment.

This is the best and most accurate vhs app i’ve found on TrueVHS store! The filters are astounding. But 5$ a week? 259$ a year? and or 10$ a month? for an app that just supports 1 use? Come on, absolutely ridiculous. People are paying for an app to avoid buying an actual expensive heavy camera, but this ends up being more expensive… It has so much potential yet this pricing is so unreasonable and such a huge ripoff for what you’re actually paying for. It’s sad to see!

I will say the same as everyone else, if this was just a one time paid app, it would have everything. the subscription part is the only thing hindering me from using it. you got the vhs look on point. another thing is, when i record, i don't have any sound.

Whenever I record on this, the audio won't come out it'll be silent. I reinstalled TrueVHS a few times and the same issue keeps happening. How do I fix it?

Let’s get the bad parts outta the way, sometimes when I’m using it the audio won’t play, I hate how I got to pay basically 5 dollars a week to keep using TrueVHS kinda a rip off not gonna lie. Now the good things, TrueVHS is a god tool for filming vhs style, you can customize almost anything, time, date, you name it they have it.

I like TrueVHS it’s so amazing,but there are some problems, first of all it’s pretty laggy
and sometimes when I am done it doesn’t appear in my camera roll and 2nd when I deleted the and when reinstalling TrueVHS
It’s still in loading. so please fix TrueVHS so
that it could be the Best VHS App ever made.

i really like how authentic TrueVHS is. there’s pretty much nothing like this out there that comes this close. however, i don’t see myself using this often. would you please make this a one time payment or maybe a charge every month instead of $5 a week? i would forget about this and then wonder why $5 is missing from my account every single week. other than such a noticeable and frequent subscription, i love everything else. i’m sure if the subscription was calmed down and a little bit standard, more people would buy and use TrueVHS . thank you.

But what I do recommend is making an option to where we can pay off the subscription for the filters and stuff. If you could add that feature that would be great!

I really love TrueVHS because of how authentic the video looks, though I kinda wish free import was there because I want to add an old school effect on my videos. It became like other apps where you have to subscribe for the free import. I’d rather have a one time payment option and have free import.

After looking through multiple apps I have finally found a free, easy to use app that isn’t littered with ads and suits my needs. Highly recommend!

I was scrolling through some apps and I couldn’t find the right one then I found this and it was so cool. Actually can you put the 2 digit year because it will be cool if you put that😀

For some reason if I recorded a really long video it won’t save it to my photo album or my video album and is there anything you can do to fix this problem? Despite this problem TrueVHS is very good and it looks very authentic and keep up the good work.

I like TrueVHS a lot because the RarevisionVHS app you have to pay for but this one is way cooler. I like the sound and the effects, I just got it and I love it, totally recommend if you don’t wanna pay the $4 for RarevisionVHS!!!! <3

You definitely hit the mark with this, looks pretty much like a jvc or hi8, I’m pretty nitpicky about vhs effects cause most of the time they look like a stereotypical vhs effect, but you truly nailed it, looks straight out of the 80s and 90s, also if you could, plz add some more glitches, or a pause effect, or maybe like a fish eye? 👍, truly impressed

TrueVHS’s output is REALLY authentic! I like the wide variety of customizations you can make to the video. My only gripe is that whenever I try to import a video and I watch an ad, after the ad finishes nothing happens. No record button appears, and no matter how many times I watch an ad, only occasionally can I proceed to the record button. Is this intentional?

I honestly don't feel like typing so im using the dictation feature please bare with me. I love TrueVHS. But I feel like it has so much potential and it's wasted. For starters, when you import videos, you can still hear the microphone. I'm pretty sure it's either a bug or the import feature is still in beta. Not gonna complain too much about that. Onto the customization features, it's very good but it's somehow just not enough. I don't know exactly what it is, but somethings missing. Again, won't complain so much about that one. I'm pretty sure you're tired of hearing about this one, but I just cannot stand to see the price tag of TrueVHS . I can understand if you charged maybe about five or $10 for the whole app. But a subscription? There's just no possible way that you're charging a subscription instead of having it be a paid app.. rarevision VHS cost like two dollars and although it's a good app, it lacks some features as well. I haven't heard of your app until today, so until today I thought rarevision was the only camcorder style app that looked like a real VHS. now, to me their app just looks like a filter. I know that you probably won't read my review out of the others, but please for the sake of TrueVHS , just make it a paid app. I won't mind paying two to $10 for TrueVHS , but please get rid of the subscription. I love the style!I mostly use TrueVHS to take pictures but i do use the video option, but sometimes the audio wont work and i find that that is a problem….then when i make a video and check my camera roll for the video and wont show up?i think they are little bugs in TrueVHS so can you please get that fixed!!TrueVHS is amazing!!

So TrueVHS is great I’m able to film my show with it. Problem is , the time changes constantly so I can’t keep up with scenes because it’ll be the wrong time. It’s be great if there was a custom time setting next to the custom date setting. I think this can be for anybody’s benefit because someone might wanna change the time from am to pm for any reason. If anything, it’ll make everyone’s videos better.

TrueVHS is really amazing ! I’m so glad this is an app because I’ve always love like 80’s and 90’s VHS. I’m in love with both era’s. So to know I don’t have to go out and find a big cam corder to feel like I’m in the 80’s or 90’s is amazing to me. So TrueVHS for me is a A+. I would say the only problem is ... is that after I record I don’t know where my videos go. I thought after I recorded my first video on here it would pop up in the Camera Roll like the other VHS apps but after constantly making videos, checking my Camera Roll and trying to find an import button... I’ve lost hope. So now I’ve lost all 4 videos. Other than that TrueVHS is an A+ like I said.

I’ve been obsessed with this authenic, 90’s VHS filter/camcorder app! I had fun playing around with it and making videos that look so nostalgic! There are so many things I can do to create my videos the way I want them to be. Thank you for making my 90s nostalgia dreams cone true!

The only real problems are the subscription option and the beginning tutorial. The subscription gave me only 3 free days and I had to pay 4.99 a week or 9.99 a year which is not worth the money. I don’t want to have to spend my money on an app like this every time. I rather want TrueVHS to be paid straight up without a subscription. Even if I cancel my plan, it wouldn’t be worth it. The other problem is the beginning tutorial always appearing as the first thing I see. I keep reinstalling TrueVHS and I can’t skip that which is irritating. There was no help option in case I need help with TrueVHS .

Other than the subscription plan and beginning tutorial, I love TrueVHS overall. I hope that my review can help improve! Thank you!
