Cool idea, horrible implementation. You literally cannot do anything on FishingTrips unless you know very specific details. It’s not like a message board where you can post up there you’re going fishing at a certain time and location and have people hit you up if interested. I deleted it in less than a day. They need to figure this out and relaunch it. Right now it’s pointless garbage.
When registering, it continually told me “email was already registered”. Created new email and same result. Won’t allow me to update or proceed further.
The reason it is useless is it’s format for fishing trips.
You have to say……. I want to fish in Thursday June 23rd at 820 Heron road at 1PM
And then somehow miraculously another fisherman is going to come along and say “hey I’d like to fish on Thursday June 23rd at 820 Heron road at 1PM too! “
It’s like trying to hit an arrow with another arrow.
It should say “I want to fish southern Florida next August.”
Currently though………
Total waste of time.
This is the stupidest and most pointless app ive ever used. Its so stupid that it has to be a scam. Ive deducted points off my own man card for downloading to check it out.

I feel so bad wrecking there 5 star streak. But I am honest. This is a great app and I’m going to leave some feedback. It does not allow me to change my photo, or add a photo for the trip. I would be nice to add a photo of something to identify yourself when meeting. Additionally it would be nice to be able to search within a x mile radius for potential fishing trips or requests for trips. Maybe not a dating app style where you swipe right. But more of like a list from closest to farthest that you can scroll through. Then filter by fish type, time of day etc… I purchase the monthly subscription in hopes to help with development costs… love the idea. But I don’t think FishingTrips is finished yet.
I agree with others that this is a great concept, always looking to connect with other fishing enthusiasts for a trip. However, my impression is this is a newer app and I would recommend allowing the user base to grow before requiring a subscription fee to simply search for a trip. Yes there is a 90 day free trial but I think people will be apprehensive to subscribe to yet another service without getting an understanding of FishingTrips ’s effectiveness.
