If I could rate this as 0 stars I would! I recorded 50 IB orals which are 15 minute recordings of students completing their most important speaking exam of their Spanish learning career. These files need to be sent to the International Bachillerato program for grading. When I opened up my app this morning, ALL the files are gone and it prompts me to make my first recording. And this is while I am paying for Premium access to Recorder ! This is literally the worst thing a recording app could do! Not happy!!! And scrambling to figure out what to do about my students exams! I will update this if the company proves to be helpful, but right now I am extremely disappointed to say the least and DO NOT recommend!!!

A lot of the features dont seem to work and the trial program is a little confusing.

The random filenames and awkward user interface isnt to love either.

I mainly tried it out because of the features in the screenshots but my app looked nothing like it and there are free versions that are much better

I got Recorder and paid for the premium so I could record my grandma and her life story before she passed away (which was yesterday) and all my recordings are gone! I’m beyond frustrated and saddened. I have used the “contact us” three times and no response. Do not get Recorder!

Where did my recordings go? I pay $10 a month for this. I need these recordings. It has no directions on how to transcribe them and when I go in there, it says no voice recordings. You need to have better directions and make sure I get my recordings back.

Recorder made me loose a much needed conversation I was suppose to be listening to for my safety and you guys killed it and didn’t even record what I had left it to do! So upset. This could have been a life changing moment for me and then I chose to trust it!!! Wah wah wah wah wahhhhhh!!!

Well first it cost money to do anything over a minute in Recorder and then when you buy it, none of the features are even worth it. I wasted money on Recorder and it was very incredibly disappointing. Just go somewhere else. Recorder is not worth, it cost a lot, just for a week

What’s a predatory app? It’s the kind you shouldn’t buy.

Signs of Predatory Apps:

1 - a selection to buy a premium subscription before you use it for voice recording

2 - no easy, identifiable way to move past the subscription paywall

3 - once you tap the small x on the corner to bypass the paywall, you immediately get an ad.

A big ad, in your face as if to say, “you cheapskate. Now I’ll punish you with a big fat app in your face so you can’t record your voice.”

Then the extra step to save the recording isn’t user friendly.

So no.

I’m uninstalling Recorder on my iPhone Mini because it doesn’t give me what o need right away and pushes ads at me—which renders the tool USELESS.

I don’t like apps that push you through a paywall. And even then, that’s not good: because you’ll buy it and won’t use it.

The recordings don’t save automatically. A user has to rename and save the file, then it shows up. Somewhere.

I just purchased Recorder - annual subscription 10 minutes ago. Already not happy - you have to select a super small arrow to “continue” to the recording app. The ads are 90% of the screen. I have had to close ads at least 5 times and I have only completed two recordings.

I loaded the product and gave it a quick check. Everything seemed ok and I believed that the version I uploaded was a basic and free version, with a “Pro” version available for a cost. Not the case. I arrived at the interview I wished to record only to learn the version I uploaded was a gimmick and for it to work more than 30 seconds one has to purchase it. What a terrible experience. Based on my experience I cannot recommend this application.

I have attempted to use this as a timer and this app combination as I engage in public speaking.
However, every time I open Recorder , I have to dismiss an advertisement and restore my purchase, which was an annual five months ago
If my phone does not have Internet service or it is spotty
Recorder seems to reset my recording goes away and once again, I have to restore my purchase And dismiss the unnecessary advertisement

I’ve had many problems saving recordings. You can take several minutes at minimum to save a recording and even then it sometimes just disappears. I look back at my saved recordings maybe a couple hours later and I see four or five copies of the same recording probably because I continue to try to press the save button. The quality of the recording is fine, but it is very aggravating, trying to save them to my phone.

Using a while Recorder, was very happy, but after a while when Recorder renewed it deleted all my very important records… I was really need them sooo much for the court… and I lost all of them… because Recorder deleted all my records with out any warnings (((

This would be a good app but by the time you want to record something you had to tell it that you don’t want it about three different ads and if you don’t want the upgrade and by the time you’ve recorded a few minutes is it does it again.

Simple user interface (which I like), and easy to use functions. Three quality selections, medium sounds great and seems to weigh in at about 250K/minute. Nice.
I want to like Recorder but there’s no way. Brought my phone to a crawl, nothing functioned properly even after rebooting. Two 1-minute audio recordings drained my battery by 5% while plugged into the charger. Basically unusable for me.

Can’t finish recording without adds jumping. Keep asking for rating every time I am opening Recorder and trying to save the recording
Anyway I am canceling my subscription

Recorder is going to provide everything needed to give our family safety. No details but a big thank you!

The setup was simple and the product is intuitive making it easy to send recordings to others.

Great app. Easy to record. Very easy to edit/trim and merge audios. And, super easy to share! Highly recommended!
