Build tracking goals

by Roop7634
It would be nice to have a feature where one can build tracking over a time. For example, if I want to write for three hours, then exercise for 45 minutes, then write for another two hours, I would be able to build that plan into the focus.
functionality drop off

by Zanacos
app has been extremely useful for about a week after download, but now the lock screen widget (entire reason i’m using FocusPomoPomodoroTimer ), notifications and sounds, and in app notifications have all stopped working. So FocusPomoPomodoroTimer now is a timer app with extra steps and completely loses the entire reason i loved FocusPomoPomodoroTimer at first. I have emailed the developer to ask if maybe it’s a software issue on my end but they have yet to respond. I’d pay like $100 for FocusPomoPomodoroTimer for its original functionality, but now it’s essentially useless. Have no idea what happened, would love to hear back from the developers and fix my usage and purchase the lifetime access.
Great pomodoro app but needs a few things to make it perfect
2024-05-03
by Dougc84
For starters, I like how FocusPomoPomodoroTimer doesn’t need to be the most complex thing unless you want it to. Personally, I don’t want to manage my whole week in a sub-par app just for a timer, but I get that some want that.
That said, it needs a reset button. If I run two 25-minute sections then, IDK, go to lunch, I likely don’t want to take a 25 minute break an hour after I get back to it.
And the price… woof. I understand that development isn’t cheap, but its quite pricey for a glorified timer, and, honestly, for me, I’m not sure what benefits I would gain (that I would use) from it.
Good design but poor functions
2023-11-22
by Sappho1997
The design is so cute and attractive But I can’t modify the background music And I can’t restrict the using of phone either
I wonder is it Ie or what…. I used the stopwatch mode to calculate my focus time rather than using the timer, and after I finished the session, I thought the record would also going into daily time record, but it doesn’t. I know that FocusPomoPomodoroTimer is ideal to be used to set up a certain time range, but I still think the time watch should also be considered as a part of daily focus record.
Good app

Good, definitely could use some more features— but given that it’s a relatively new app I’m assuming most are probably in the works already. Some suggestions: landscape mode, customizable backgrounds, one time payment instead of subscriptions, different fonts
So far it’s been great

I really like how you can see this pomo on the Lock Screen and dynamic mode. It’s a cool concept and like the way it’s tracking my time. My main issue is the sound effects when the pomo is done. I couldn’t hear it because it only rings once and its not very distinguishable. So hopefully you can add different sound effects. Also I notice that your reward section after a pomo session is done forces you to do a break. Would need to restart app so I can exit the reward section or do a break to view the dashboard.
Great app

FocusPomoPomodoroTimer is great for the standard pomodoro user, and i love watching my tomatoes collect on the main screen after each session. It is very satisfying and motivating! There are some features i think should be added. Under the pomodoro technique section of the settings, there are options to change the length of the short and long breaks, but no way to change the length of the focus sessions. This would make FocusPomoPomodoroTimer alot more customizable and usable by more people for more purposes. I also find the labeling confusing for the focus session settings. The default setting of “3” i believe has 3 short breaks before the long break but the wording is odd and confusing and should offer a description or change to reflect its true meaning.
I know more color themes are in development now but the devs should consider maybe different fruits/characters to accumulate on your screen as well if at all possible. overall, FocusPomoPomodoroTimer is my personal favorite for tracking my use of the pomodoro method and i hope to watch FocusPomoPomodoroTimer continue to grow and expand.
Cute but limited. Improving Incrementally.

The little orange tomatoes are very motivating. That is what it has over some other Pomodoro apps. Otherwise it’s very bare bones, the developer doesn’t respond to emails, the link to submit feature requests doesn’t work (it prompts you to submit a review), and the premium version doesn’t give you much extra. It would nice if it implemented some features that are common to other such apps, like more flexibility to adjust focus and break lengths, ability to skip breaks, ability to change colors of backgrounds, etc. Nice start but needs somebody’s time and attention.
I love FocusPomoPomodoroTimer , particularly the design of FocusPomoPomodoroTimer compared to other pomodoro apps. One feature that works be helpful would be some sort of to do lift feature. Right now FocusPomoPomodoroTimer functions in a reactive way to each session. When I start my day, I make a to do list and it would be cool to be able to list some of these out with the estimated pomodoros required to finish.
It would also be helpful to choose between what type of session you'd like to start (i.e. pomodoro, short break, long break) as sometimes I'll skip the break to continue working, and then would like the option to choose a 5 min break.
First impression
2024-07-22
by Jena510
I like being able to schedule my day, but wish my timers would pop up as a reminder or automatically start to follow my schedule. And a little 5 minute warning would be nice. I may be overlooking settings and as I said this is at first impression but I would love to put my phone in landscape mode and a complication would show my timer and allow me to control it if needed. Additionally, the ability to play my Music or podcasts through FocusPomoPomodoroTimer would be awesome. I look forward to the watch app. It would be nice to have a watch face complication or a way to add it to the favorites stack when you swipe up on your watch.
Can we get a pause button?
2024-09-26
by Rapples08
Love everything about FocusPomoPomodoroTimer except that it needs a pause button. Sometimes work calls or other life factors interrupt the work flow and I want to be able to pause my timer until I can get back on track. Being able to pause the focus periods and the break periods would be huge! Cheers
Good simple pomadoro app

Writing this review to suggest features.
The customization options are confusing. What exactly does “focus session” mean? Is that the number of pomodoros before a long break? It doesn’t seem so.
I’d like a more clear way to see how many pomodoros have gone by so I know when the long break is coming. I like seeing all the tomatoes on the screen but since they’re are cumulative they don’t help in this regard.
There doesn’t seem to be a way to reset the number of pomodoros for the day. Today, I started my sessions thinking I’d work for 4 pomodoros then get my long break, but FocusPomoPomodoroTimer gave me my long break after 3, and I can’t tell why. If there was a “reset” button or at least a clear tracker i could better keep track of my work.
I really like the over all design of FocusPomoPomodoroTimer over other pomodoro trackers, so I hope more features and quality of life fixes come soon.
Almost perfect

Overall a great app both functionality and aesthetically. Only thing I wish for (and I may just be missing it) is a way to set specific times individually between tags, like 25 min for work and 60 min for reading. Other that that, I can’t wait to start using FocusPomoPomodoroTimer more.
Is there an option to pause the timer / stopwatch, instead of cancelling? I just started using FocusPomoPomodoroTimer but it is strange that i cannot pause it, without losing the progress i have made…
For instance, if I set the timer for 30 minutes, and I need to pause it for a call, at around 15th minute, the only option is to stop the timer. Which makes it my 15 minute progress disappear. But I also don’t want to record my phone call as a part of my 30 minute productivity count.
Do you think you can change this quickly? I am in the trial so I will keep or cancel my plan accordingly.
Thanks
I REALLY like this app but my tomatoes keep disappearing!!

I really love the simplicity and function of FocusPomoPomodoroTimer. It helps me to focus in and makes work less tedious, HOWEVER, my tomatoes keep disappearing and it becoming a bit frustrating. I like seeing them collect and move around the screen, but for the second time now, all of my tomatoes disappeared and I’m starting over with one. Developers- please fix this issue or tell me if I’m doing something wrong.
So cute, but something’s missing

I love FocusPomoPomodoroTimer so much, I just wish there was an option for a progress circle display instead of just the numbers. The other thing is that I wish there was a way to start a timer from a home screen widget. That would be so nice! I would also love if there were tasks you can add and set how many pomodoros they’ll take, and have it give you an estimated time to get everything done. Tasks to work on would be wonderful! Last thing, I think there should be an option to set limits like cancelling a pomodoro if you don’t turn your phone over in a certain amount of time, or not letting you leave FocusPomoPomodoroTimer . Anyway! I think FocusPomoPomodoroTimer would be perfect if it had these features! It’s super cute, and I would totally pay for the full version if it had them!
I love the UI but it’s lacking stats

by Hazell1900
I love how simple it is to use, I especially love that I can use it on stand by mode. The cute UI just makes me motivated to use it more. One thing I hope to see in future update is to have more stats: bar chart for daily/weekly focus time so I can compare focus time I do everyday of the week; monthly calendar view to view the timeline so it’s easier to choose dates in the past
live activities

by Rahaf949
I was excited to try FocusPomoPomodoroTimer but got disappointed when the live activities lockscreen feature didnt work for me although i have the ios 16
Honestly the little tomatoes are cute, I mostly use FocusPomoPomodoroTimer vs the others because I like seeing how many tomatoes I get in a week. But there’s a couple things that would make FocusPomoPomodoroTimer better.
- automatically going from study to break (with the option to skip a break). It’s so tedious and distracting to have to click start everytime. The whole point is to decrease the amount of time I pick up my phone… - instead of vibrating when time is up, maybe do flashing slights or color display, something noticeable but not distracting. Some study places don’t allow even vibration so when I turn it off I don’t know when times up - having tomatoes be different colors depending on tags (study, reading, etc) Tbh I’m not paying till I see a bit more improvement on FocusPomoPomodoroTimer in some of these aspects. Paid features are cool but not really necessary while these are (to me). Doesn’t make sense to pay for something that I am not 100% satisfied with yet just for the ~hope~ it’ll be improved
Really good app

FocusPomoPomodoroTimer provides all the essentials you would think a pomodoro timer app should have and they all work well for those (and my) intended needs. there are only two issues that i have with FocusPomoPomodoroTimer
1. i think it would be useful to have a pausing feature. however you choose to incorporate that into FocusPomoPomodoroTimer (whether pausing takes time away thus making the tomato smaller or not doesnt really matter, it would be helpful either way)
2. im not sure if this was intentional or not but when im in FocusPomoPomodoroTimer and the timer ends, the sound/notification is on and alerts me that the timer has ended. but, when im out of FocusPomoPomodoroTimer and the timer ends, i have no way of knowing as i dont get a vibration notification nor a sound even though those settings are on (i tested it out to see if maybe i just missed it) i think its crucial to add a feature where there is a noise that alerts the user that the timer has ended even though they have exited FocusPomoPomodoroTimer /turned off their device.
despite these two issues i love FocusPomoPomodoroTimer's features and its cute layout :)
Suggesting additional features for your app

by DILLIGAF?!!
FocusPomoPomodoroTimer could recommend what activity the user would be doing during the 5 minute break. I got the idea from the spin the wheel challenge in FocusPomoPomodoroTimer “Happier.” I also like the flashlight feature in FocusPomoPomodoroTimer “focus noodles.” It serves as visual reminder to stay on task and also a good way to stay out of rabbit holes. FocusPomoPomodoroTimer has superior performance in terms of the timer function and data collected, but there is still room for improvement. Also I love my little tomatoes.

love it but can’t seem to get lock screen widget to work

by KimberlyMeow
i am on ios 16 and have tried everything (including restarting my phone) however, the lock screen widget just not popping up. i wonder why, is the a fix to it
My new feature wishlist - can adjust the break time and choose how many tomatoes I want to make in a row for an adjustable longer break time - can record tasks - a timer! A tomato is made if a task is completes even if it didn’t use up all the time that I set before. And can upload focus time even if I didn’t use the clock just to make up recording my hours for when I forgot.
Would also love to see a website ver being made.
Great app; I have a suggestion!

by Smiley.says
I love FocusPomoPomodoroTimer and its cute simplicity. While I was setting up a timer for my chores, I was looking at the tomatoes and thought that it would be great to know which tomatoes went into what category since I have other categories dedicated to my courses. Then failed tomatoes could be either black or white depending on the user’s screen mode and if the devs would consider black/white as a mode color or not.
Then there could possibly be a feature on the main page that can filter through the different tomatoes so you can see all of one mode’s tomatoes or all of the tomatoes together.
This is simply a suggestion, but I would be so happy to see this implemented! ❤️

I can’t even thank FocusPomoPomodoroTimer enough for how much it has helped me with studying. I am in high school, and it is unbelievable how much FocusPomoPomodoroTimer motivates me to just sit and study, read, textbooks, finish math, homework, and anything else school related that is hard for me to stay concentrated on. I cannot praise FocusPomoPomodoroTimer enough for how it has helped me throughout school. I hope it can help others as well. Download FocusPomoPomodoroTimer it’s worth it!!
Solid app

It does everything I need from a pomodoro timer app, cute and simple. I would just love a few changes that would make a massive difference in how much I like FocusPomoPomodoroTimer :
1) Ability to pause the focus/break timers. Sometimes I get interrupted by someone else during a pomodoro, but I don’t want to sacrifice the entire tomato by having to stop the session
2) Abillty to reset the pomodoro counts. Sometimes I’m only able to do 1 pomodoro before I have to leave for the day, which is fine. But if my app setting is set to 3 pomodoros before the long break, I just want to restart the count next time I open FocusPomoPomodoroTimer to work, instead of it still counting the 1 pomo from a previous day. If there was a button for that, that would be great
I LOVE THIS APP

the beauty of FocusPomoPomodoroTimer is in its cleanliness and simplicity. i love using it and seeing my pomos build up over the week :)
if i could have one suggestion, it would be to do something with the pomos after they clear at the end of the week. maybe we can sell them in an orange market or use our built up pomos to buy different colored or types of oranges in the shop. maybe little slides or puzzles that we can play with our pomos on the timer screen. these are just ideas, but it would be nice to be rewarded for our work at the end of the week instead of them just being cleared from our screen :P
oh and i would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to have FocusPomoPomodoroTimer be able to sync with my apple watch! that would be my absolute #1 request
I love FocusPomoPomodoroTimer it helps me get focused BUT I don’t know why I can’t make it work so that every pomodoro has exactly 4 sessions, the first round is fine, 4 focus rounds, 3 short breaks and a long break. but after that it only does 3 focus sessions and goes back to a long break, I hope you guys can fix that or help me explaining how to fix it, I tried changing the amount of sessions but it doesn’t seem to fix it
Love the app, but one small bug

by Westcarey
Love FocusPomoPomodoroTimer so far and will likely be purchasing lifetime premium access. However, I am experiencing one small bug. I have the “display tomatoes for the week” feature on, but the tomatoes didn’t reset for this week, like they were supposed to. I am typing this comment on a Tuesday (feature says the screen should reset every Monday) and am still seeing all of last week’s tomatoes on my home screen.

I have ADHD and this has been a game changer for me keeping on track and focus for work!! I do wish I could change the colors and maybe even the cute little tomato icons into other fruits or veggies or characters but overall, I love this one the most I love being able to see my progress during the week as well. My tomatoes did not reset this morning. (Monday) but it’s also my first week using it and only 7:30 AM so maybe it resets at a certain time?? Idk.. but i love it so far. :) close to the end of my first year I may buy the lifetime version. :D
The little tomatoes motivate me
2024-05-03
by Kookerson
Idk what the tomatoes do with my monkey brain it just wants to collect them so I actually use FocusPomoPomodoroTimer , the tomatoes also motivate me when I see how many I was able to collect during the week.
The only thing that I wish that was possible to change tasks without having to cancel and getting a sad tomato because sometimes I end all my work before the timer runs out and I like to track how much time I spend on each subject so I have to cancel, but besides that I think that FocusPomoPomodoroTimer is 10/10
Effective and cute

FocusPomo has become my chosen productivity timer out of the many other options on FocusPomoPomodoroTimer Store. I enjoy its charming interface which I find surprisingly effective at encouraging me to remain focused. A few features I would like to request for future updates: - watchOS version to sync timers and receive alerts on my wrist - ability to display all earned tomatoes on the start screen rather than just one session or one week - ability to pause and/or extend focus sessions or breaks Thank you!
This is a great focus pomodoro application. I went ahead and got the lifetime subscription. The user interface is the real deal with FocusPomoPomodoroTimer. It’s very simple and easy to navigate. And the little jolt of good feelings with collecting the tomatoes throughout the week is great.
Things that may be good down the road: WatchOS application which I know is coming. Maybe a notification or nudge that can be customized to let you know when your countdown is at certain times? Such as “5 minutes left” and you get a notification. More background noises.
Great focus app for school! Just one small suggestion

by Coat-Tea64
I love FocusPomoPomodoroTimer because it’s easily accessible and has a simple UI to not deter your attention away. I also love the widgets it comes with. My only suggestion (I’m actually begging for it) is an automatic pomodoro timer that dings or makes a sound at the end of every focus/break period until the end of the user set cycle, so I know when to switch. Often times, I’ll keep working and lose track of time, and when I look at my phone to see the timer, it had already finished counting so I don’t know how much time has elapsed since and i need to press the start button again to resume the pomodoro to the next period.

Helps me focus & track my time, all the widgets work wonderfully. Building a calendar with all my focus sessions has really helped me track my time my freelance work. I’ve even got Siri set up to turn on do not disturb when I say Go Pomo. I love it! Feature Wishlist: - I wish I could sync my sessions to my calendar app somehow - Maybe export my time tracking as a CSV? - I wish I could create focus presets like: ( Long pomo 45min focus 15min short break, 45 min long break) (Short pomo 25, 5, 20) - I wish starting a focus could trigger a focus mode somehow New wish: apple watch app! 🥰
Loving FocusPomo!!!

I find FocusPomoPomodoroTimer really nice and easy to use to help keep me focused on tasks and track my time. Two feature requests would be to have an option at the end of a focus timer to keep the focus timer ticking as I sometimes get into a flow and have worked 40 min versus when I only set the 25min timer. As I use this for work having a 20/30 min long break doesn’t work for me as I take an hour lunch. So it would be nice to disable that long break or have more options to customize the length of time and when it should appear.
I love this app

I've tried so many pomodoro apps and Focuspomo is the one I love the most! After one week trial I immediately upgraded it to Plus Lifetime. Now I don't have to search for the best pomodoro app anymore. Finally settled down with one. Big thanks to the developer. P.s it'd be great if there's a feature that lets you change the whole color scheme of FocusPomoPomodoroTimer . I want these little tomatoes to be blue...like blueberries.
So this is a new app, and it’s been great so far. Has a ton of potential, and I’m happy to use it in its current state, but here is some stuff I would like
1. After a session ends, option to break *or* transfer to stopwatch mode, for when you aren’t quite ready. Then you can just break when you’re ready 2. Way to pause the pomo. I get that this isn’t really the Pomo method or whatever, and some penalization can happen, but real life does happen and that would be a great option 3. Instead of clicking the notification, I’d like to be able to transfer between focus and break states from the live activity. Flow supports this and it’s great. 4. A way to get the session history out of FocusPomoPomodoroTimer in a programmatic way. Maybe a shortcut action for this, like things 3’s find action 5. A way to add a text description (eg. “Summarize meeting notes” instead of a general label like “Writing”) 5.1 Maybe, these labels could be pulled *from* things? I see this is on the Flow roadmap. Then I can see how long I spent on each task
Personally I don’t care about all the self control stuff like blocking ect, and these suggestions are all minutia, but add up to a gigantic improvement. Just some food for thought. Nice work.

I have been using this for my last semesters in nursing school because I have a addiction to scrolling through my phone, there is a happiness collecting little tomatoes that gives me a small amount of motivation to put my phone down and work. The only thing I wish is the different tags would give me different color tomatoes. So as they collect, I can see exactly how many tomatoes I spend with each subject. Also having a timer option that just counts up instead of down could be cool?

FocusPomoPomodoroTimer is super easy to use and works with StandBy mode. Super nice to use to prevent people with ADHD from getting distracted by their notifications and chat apps.
I would like a button on the StandBy mode for skipping the current timer as sometimes I end my focus a little bit early and it resets my work time back to 25 minutes.

FocusPomoPomodoroTimer is so simple and so lovely! I use it every day to motivate myself to stay focused as a doctoral student! I think the only thing I would like is an overview of how much I studied per week or month! Or even year! It would be super cool to have the stats on those and I think it would feel rewarding to see it too! Other than that, it’s just the best app! Thank you for making it!

I love FocusPomoPomodoroTimer. Great for studying, great for anything you wanna focus on. Everything you need is available for free, and extras are pretty cheap. I do wish that you could pause a timer for, I don’t know, up to 2 or 3 minutes? Maybe just something for bathroom breaks. Maybe that’s a bad idea, but I wish it was a thing. Other than that, I’m in love. It’s cute, cheap, effective, AND literally asks for input. I really do recommend!
Seeing the little tomatoes roll around on my screen is surprisingly motivating, especially since you are forced to essentially start over every week/day (depending on your settings).
FocusPomoPomodoroTimer really helps me with that extra push to do stuff when I’m feeling unmotivated. I just wish that there were a to-do-list feature so that I don’t have to keep switching between apps to check my progress (which is counterintuitive to the “stay focused/don’t get distracted” point of using a pomodoro in the first place)

The color palette and ui is wonderful to look at. There are some features that i feel will make FocusPomoPomodoroTimer better.
- Allowing users to sign in with email. To save progress.
- Creating a website for users to be able to use as well.
- Allowing users to switch between dark mode and light mode within FocusPomoPomodoroTimer .
ADHD brains don’t keep track of time well, and need frequent breaks to reset our dopamine. I love using this pomodoro timer because it’s simple and cute!
Feature Request - Timer + Stopwatch Mode
2028-02-03
by TrevorLR
Stopwatch mode is great to track an undetermined amount of time but I often want to track focus time with a timer value as the minimum. So a 20 minute timer to get myself into a rhythm, but stopwatch mode after the 20 minutes to track how long I spend working on it beyond that.
I used to have to break out of want I was doing to hit “break” and then “stop break” “start” to keep tracking, but stopwatch has made this much easier. I just want a timer that transitions into stopwatch mode so I can get the benefits of the Pomo timer still.
I love it!

This little pomo has all the basic features to organize my mind around my task and none of the nonsense to send me down another hole just to get everything set just nice. One of my great distraction joys is to set up little systems, it’s like they’re on to me. So a simplified, smart pomo keeps me focused, clear, and reminds me to look up. What more do we need?

There is something so satisfying and enjoyable of the idea of gaining tomatoes while studying/working and it fits so well with the minimalist design. I also really love how the tomatoes move around when tilting the phone side to side. An option for a to-do list for any session started could be a great organizing tool for FocusPomoPomodoroTimer .
Hello I love FocusPomoPomodoroTimer but at the same time no because I wish it had different music available for us to choose from. Rain sounds are nice but it would be nice to have instrumental music or especially something that will help me since I have ADHD. Thank you for your time.

I love FocusPomoPomodoroTimer so much. I have been looking for so long for something like this. Something that gives joy when I don't want to do anything at all. Now I'm showing all my friends my tomatoes and bragging about how great FocusPomoPomodoroTimer is and telling them to get it. No data collected! Simple! Cute tomatoes that change size with how much time you work! Haptic feedback when they roll around! Not a bunch of distracting extra features and micro transactions! Just exactly what you want. One day I hope they can make the tomatoes the color of the subject you track, so it can be a whole tomato farm. Can't wait to grow more tomatoes today! :)
Please if you can add a 50min focus with 10 min break ?

I really love FocusPomoPomodoroTimer !! Maybe the best app I’ve discovered this year the minimalistic design the cute tomatoes the widgets… everything adds up but my only complaint would be if i can add more focus time to do the heavy work (something like a 50/10) so maybe add this feature in a future update!!
Awesome App

FocusPomo is one of the few productivity apps that I have actually kept on my phone. The application is simple and well presented. I do wish however there was a way to distinguish which tomatoes belong to each task. Changing the color of the entire tomato would be weird but perhaps just the stem would be ok.
Adorably productive

FocusPomoPomodoroTimer is simple. Select a time frame and focus! Get through that time frame and you grow an adorable tomato. Don’t make it through get a sad tomato. I appreciate that FocusPomoPomodoroTimer works with music players and has helped me get in the zone at work and academically. Highly recommend.
I believe that you should take the times and averages of when people do the tasks "at least from the stopwatch" and help them plan out their days, maybe even work with a calendar app. I also wish that when I'm not using the time, that the time goes away from my Lock Screen.
