I hope the creators get this and can come up with a solution... NORC2020ERP and features necessary for the study installs a VPN that disrupts any part of your digital life that is location based. When I can get it to turn off for a few seconds and load my game, It works. We should be able to turn off the VPN for 1 minute and write an explanation to continue with the study. It’s been less than a week and I’m questioning if I’m gonna make it to the end. My phone has slowed some but the location may be the killer. With these problems you may be negating the random sample of the population.

I’ve installed the vpn and there were t any problems the first day but on the second day, I noticed some things. First, for some reason, having the vpn turned on messed up my weather app on my Apple Watch. My weather map is not showing me the current weather in my city and I noticed it started happening after I downloaded the vpn. I tested my theory and turned off vpn and the weather started to show again. Another thing I have to complain about, I’ve noticed that my internet connection has been so slow since I’ve downloaded the vpn. I have full bars, LTE, and it takes forever to lead something. I’ve even connected to my wifi and it’s the same way. I, once again, turned off the vpn and my internet is fast again. I want to keep the vpn on and help with the research but I don’t like that’s it’s giving me these problems.

DO NOT TRY TO EDIT WIKIPEDIA ARTICLES WHILE THE VPN IS CONNECTED. I just got a year-long ban notice on my account because the IP address the VPN uses is flagged. Thanks a lot, guys.

Like most people here, I have been experiencing all sorts of issues with internet connectivity since downloading NORC2020ERP and installing the VPN. I can only connect to my HomePod and Apple TV about half the time now, even after restarting the phone or going in and out of airplane mode. The Weather app only loads when it wants to, and won’t show information on my watch most of the time. Most apps that require location services (with the exception of mapping apps, thank goodness) only work if I toggle the VPN off.

It really makes me wonder if it is worth the pittance offered by the research company to use NORC2020ERP. Incredibly annoying.

I liked being paid for participation in this study and I stuck with it for a few months, but this vpn makes my phone disconnect from wifi constantly and it’s super hard to get my iPhone to reconnect even though it will display that it’s connected already. It was racking up my data usage and making everything on my phone take 10x longer to do with always having to wait for internet to connect. I had to give up.

A quick word of advice, if the VPN is causing issues with your capability to access the internet go to settings > general > VPN > 2020 ERP VPN and turn off connect on demand. Then you can actually turn off the VPN, but remember to turn it back on when you are done so you continue to participate in the study.
The VPN will slow down your internet and makes this study hard to participate in. NORC2020ERP has no purpose after the VPN has been installed.
There are a lot of issues that need to be addressed before the majority of the community that are being studied decide to quit.

I took their surveys and at first they honored their rewards for it. Then the 2nd to last one I took I wasn’t given any reward for it until I emailed them about it. It took a few days but they finally gave it to me. Now this last survey they’re giving me the run around and trying to tell me to contact other people who tell me to contact the other person, also known as the run around. What liars. If this is how they conduct themselves during their information gathering I wouldn’t be at all surprised that their study is compromised too. These are not ethical people!

Like so many other reviewers, I wanted to contribute to this research study. However, the VPN disrupts the function of my phone to the point where it’s useless. I can’t use Safari, updates are painfully slow, and anything that requires location services never loads.

I’m also not impressed by the communication from the team conducting the study. None of my emails mentioned an app until I received a message about the lack of data from my phone. I also emailed the study a few weeks ago to alert them to the issues I was experiencing: no response.

I really wanted to like this as I appreciate the research being done but the vpn is constantly disconnecting and causing issues across apps with it not loading and it’s just getting annoying at this point as I constant have to switch between wifi and data.

But once you download the VPN profile, your phone turns into a brick. I couldn’t access anything through Safari at all. I had to remove it from my phone just to be able to email support so they could tell me some unhelpful stuff about restarting/clearing your cache/cookies. I just removed the VPN and said whatever. Isn’t worth the $5 to not have a working phone when you need it. I’d love to help out with the research, but NORC2020ERP/VPN/whatever needs a major revamp first. I don’t know how you all will collect any data!

I’ve had this installed on my phone for about 2 months now. I haven’t had any problems with it. It loads fine, I don’t get error messages when going on websites, and every app on my phone opens and functions perfectly.

No good deed goes unpunished. I was alerted when my desktop went nuts with malware warnings. So I deleted NORC2020ERP . You’d think you’d be done with this? Nope. They’re still tracking you, kids.
It took the Apple folks a bit to figure it out, but finally we rid my phone of the profile it leaves behind that not only tracks you, app or not, causes pop up warnings all over your phone.
I have zero trust for these folks at this point.

After downloading the profile associated with this study and app, I was unable to check my bank account balance, send messages via Slack, or open messages on Snapchat. It even interfered with an software upgrade I attempted to install on my Apple Watch. After deleting the profile. I regained the ability to access all of these apps and the upgrade was successful (after multiple failed attempts while connected to their VPN).

After downloading NORC2020ERP , other apps in my phone would not work and my phone wouldn’t download images or videos. I would go to watch a news clip and it wouldn’t play, my daycare tried sending photos and they wouldn’t load, I tried to send photos and they wouldn’t send, I couldn’t send emojis, and I wasn’t receiving phone calls. The NORC app made it so I couldn’t use anything but Facebook. Not ok.

I downloaded NORC2020ERP just this morning, installed everything correctly, etc, and immediately found that most of my apps no longer worked correctly. My FB Messenger wouldn’t load messages, FB wouldn’t even load, I was no longer receiving texts, Maps wouldn’t open, and that’s just the beginning. No amount of money would make me keep NORC2020ERP/VPN installed on my phone.

I’ve never had this issue before with anything, but indeed on my iPhone X running iOS 14.0, my apps started having connectivity issues within minutes of installing. Rebooting didn’t help. Uninstalling NORC2020ERP solved these issues immediately.

It’s unfortunate as I’d love to help. I hope the developers fix this bug. I’ll happily reinstall if they do.

I really, really wanted to participate in this. I was willing to put up with my internet slowing to a crawl, but my phone actually became useless. I couldn’t use several apps or open websites because the VPN was gobbling up any connectivity I had, even when I had full bars and a strong WiFi connection. If you fix NORC2020ERP , I will download it again.

Slows usage of apps way down. Takes forever for games or internet to load. Almost ready to give up.

I installed NORC2020ERP for one week and OMG I could barely use my phone. I couldn’t stay connected to WiFi and my cellular data speed was garbage. I talked to my cell phone provider and experienced an immediate change when I uninstalled this from my phone. I will not be downloading this again. Please save yourself the trouble.

I have an iPhone 5 CE. As soon as I started using the VPN many apps would not open, as if internet is off. Turning my phone off and back on worked- for a little bit until it happened again. I recommend not downloading unless you really need the money..

I have no trouble and I’m participating in the study as well ... my phone is fine and my iPad is ok lol
