This game has way too many video ads for other games. They are so aggressive! Some of them aren’t bad, some force you to get rid of it only after it brings you to App Store to download and you exit out, 1 even forced me to play a preview of the game or made me sit there for 90 seconds staring at the same screen and the worst are the ones that everytime I tried to exit of the download it brought back to the same screen where the only thing I could do was click to download and go to SongPop Store again it was a viscous painful cycle that only ended when I forced closed SongPop …only now it didn’t it was was like I was in the song pop version of Groundhog Day and it brought me right back to the same nightmare as. How is this aggressiveness even allowed!

I have been a loyal this app player since the first installment, but by far this is the worst one yet. I don’t know in which part of the game it begins to be implemented, but as a PSA to those that are unaware or are still getting into the game, THERE IS A COIN & XP daily limit.

I understand that this is implemented along with the ads that appear every other game to motivate you to purchase their Premium pass that remove these limitations. But after loving this game until I reached Lvl 30, I began to encounter the coin limit after winning 4-5 games and after the game informs me that I have reached my limit, it motivates me further to uninstall this game. I can suffer through the adds but when the coin limit regen rate is +5 coin every 5 minutes, I have to wait hours just to play 4-5 games where before I was able to play freely until reaching level 30 for hours which I enjoyed a lot. Just a shame that this game ruins itself by putting these things in place. I hope many read this as a warning and I hope they change this in the future.

This game was lots of fun. Now with the lagging when trying to load the game, starting to play an opponent, or play your turn it takes multiple minutes, not seconds anymore to get it to load if it even loads. This is ridiculous!!! What and why are we paying a monthly subscription fee for if some of it is not used to improve the game and make it playable??? I have a new phone and new internet router which is high speed internet so you can’t tell me that the problem is on my end because I was having these issues before my upgrades and still having them and I’m not the only one! Numerous friends and opponents have already cancelled their subscriptions to SP3. I would hate to cancel mine too, but I’m sooo fed up with this! I have no issues with SP Classic only SP3! Please fix your issues!!!!

I recently just deleted my subscription after years of playing, it used to be great until greed and stupidity took over.

Maybe you should listen to your loyal players and not change things like making it MANDATORY to link your two apps together without even giving warning to us, that’s is pretty shady, raising the price ( which I never really cared about but still shady)

Fresh Planet, I will NEVER invest in ANY of your games ever again, I am one who has spent thousands of dollars over the years and you ruined it, the game I used to love has now turned to hate, I am writing to hopefully stop even one person ( and I’m sure after your most recent changes A LOT of people who have canceled their subscription and who are as livid as I, maybe the next time you do shady stuff without even giving warnings you won’t have any more games , and frankly that’s what you deserve.

You Know How Back a few years ago everyone was complaining about how EA was ruining a bunch of beloved franchises, well this is just that except with its own property!

I Loved Song Pop 2, I just got board. Song pop 3 is just a shell of song pop 2’s former glory and former self. Almost Everything is locked behind a pay wall or you just can’t access it yet.

I have yet to see another app that doesn’t allow you to change your profile until you reach a certain level. This is a disgrace, only basic playlists are available, bands or artist. Sorry but you’ll have to wait. This is bull, I should have access to those.

Also the amount of ads on this is insane. No worry if you don’t buy the ridiculous premium, don’t worry watching all the ads should cover the cost in about 15 to 20 maybe 25 ministers if your lucky. The ads are Atrocious, they all last about 30 seconds and even after that the time they take to load and how long it takes to exit the ad by how long it takes the x to come up is terrible.

Then we get to the bugs. People bugging out for infinite game, playlists not loading, the switches for preferences not working or working too late, misclicks when no misclicks, and everything else in SongPop or at least it should be called a bug.

If you want an app to set a bad exsample for not only a sequel but also just a terrible app in general, look at this otherwise it isn’t worth your time.

I’m probably going to stick with Version 2 and skip this one. I tried it out and found (a) there’s no way to disable the ‘game sounds’ which aren’t part of the music; these sounds are pointless, distracting, and extremely irritating. In Version 2 this noise can be turned off, but not here — hope that feature is implemented soon; and (b) the coins won during each round apparently have to be manually collected, which is both a waste of time and an opportunity for merciless solicitation to ‘upgrade’ to a “premium” level — no thanks. I’ve been playing Versions 1 and later 2 for nearly a decade and paying a monthly premium membership for much of that time. But that loyalty apparently means little to nothing to this company because recently they’ve been pushing an even higher premium membership in Version 2, which I am not touching; and now they’re trying to squeeze more money for Version 3, as soon as I played my first game of this much lower-quality sequel. No thanks; I am about ready to call it quits and cancel my Version 2 membership, as well.

I started out loving to play this game but over the last few months the response has been horrible to the point now where I really can barely play at all. I have tried both from my spectrum wi-fi and my AT&T cellular data basically the same on both. I click on chats and nothing. Sometimes I open SongPop and the vinyl just keeps doing its animation and the game never loads. Playing a tournament and the icons just soon and soon saying selecting playlist and it never does. Forgot opening the chat screen it rarely comes up. Also playing against and opponent sometimes after I have complete my turn the opponent shows up as still needing me to play, I click on the opponent and it comes up and say timed out on the last song and completes the game so I don’t get credit for answering the last song correctly which I in fact already had done. Oh and forget playing the lives, I gave up on those a few months ago. They really need to improve the performance of this game. So very disappointing especially since I am a plus member and pay

my first experience with this company was seemingly a GaJillion years ago when this app 2 was first released, and their little game called RockOn! was functional... that game was basically an individual journey climbing Up the Stairs to The Stars of Rock ‘n’ Roll... and boy was THAT a great game!! In those days the only two games I’ve ever played on my iPhone was QuizUp and RockOn!; as of today both of those games are gone. I recently started playing this app 2 again, and it’s OK... although I was really surprised at the push push push towards “premium” privilege and (more importantly) monthly subscription. So I probably should not be surprised at how completely obnoxious this app 3 is. It has NONE of the charm of SP2 or even of RockOn!; it’s simply a head-long ride into “pay us money!” “pay us money!” “pay us money!” “every month!” “every month!” “every month!” Frankly I have never said this in a review before however there’s a first time for everything:
SKIP SongPop COMPLETELY!! It is horrible and a waste of your time, unless you *like* being shamed and made to feel less-than because you haven’t yet upgraded... to a ridiculously priced monthly subscription. For a _game_. _ON_YOUR_PHONE_

I’ve been a fan of this app since I was a young teen and have followed each game from the start, even purchasing on switch. This version has RUINED this app. First of all, you can’t save up coins to purchase playlists like you used to, you either have to buy them or watch an ad EVERY SINGLE TIME you use it. This takes the fun away from collecting playlists, as you have access to all of them as long as you watch a full 30 second ad for every single 20 second long match. Next, every feature you can possibly imagine is something you have to learn by leveling up 10, 15, 20 levels in order to get. I can’t even LIKE one of my favorite songs because I’m not at level 16 yet! Oh, and did I mention you have a CAP on the coins and XP you earn? But don’t worry, premium would take care of that for the low, low price of $99 a year. Are you people insane?? You have ruined this game. I’m so angry right now.

I downloaded this version when this app Classic basically said they’re discontinuing that version so I’d have to get this one. I got a deal on the VIP since I pay for it with Classic. After that deal is up, I will no longer be lying to play this. This version makes you pass levels before you’re able to do anything, such as like songs or even change your profile picture. There is only one tournament available (classic gives like 7 to choose from), and the playlists play the same 10 songs over and over again. When you complete the first play against someone else and it’s time to choose your playlist, the order is ridiculous. The playlists I was currently playing are farther to the bottom of the choices instead of first. Sad to lose this app after so many years of playing but I will not continue with this version.

So far, this app 3 is really annoying. I have to constantly watch ads to do anything. I guess I’m still stuck in the tutorial or something because when I finish a game, it won’t let me go back to my homepage, it tries to make me play another game. Maybe I’ll get used to it and the ads will stop popping up every time I do something, but I’m much more interested in this app 2, which I’ve been playing for years, where I don’t have to watch a million ads or mess with different currencies, and SongPop will let me navigate to where I want to when I want to.
Plus, I already pay for the normal subscription on this app 2 (not that pointless even more expensive higher tier sub), so I’m not willing to start throwing money at this new version which is very tedious at best and a cash grab at worst.

I enjoy the game so much, but you creators need to understand that not all of us could pay premium, I believe that ads should want to make us get premium so you can get money, but at the same time you should understand that not all of us could afford it and I think that ads should be no longer than 15 seconds like are you for reals making them ads be 45 seconds, almost a whole minute like I think that’s so unfair, if you were to fix the ads to be at least 15 or even 20 seconds that would make the game more enjoyable and less boring. This is just my opinion to make the game a little better but it’s in your hands I just think that it makes it boring to be waiting 45 seconds just cuz we can’t pay premium and if it was less seconds of wait or even have a skip button after 10 seconds of the ad has passed! this app has generally been a game that forces a premium on you for user benefits; but in this version, it’s even more pushed onto the player with my least favourite feature added, which is the daily gold and exp cap. The game perpetuates a need to pay over this hurdle in two ways: you can either buy the premium (which is $9.99/mo, overpriced for a game of this nature), or use gems that are given from time to time, or bought using the in-game store. And the game has no shortage of reminding you that there’s always the option to pay for a premium by annoying you with reward blockades that always offer a premium reward bonus even if you’ve completely refused to take the premium multiple times. Other than the obvious cash grab the game presents, it’s an average “guess the game” quiz that only has a few feature additions and UI changes from its previous iteration in this app 2. Some of the response times are rather slow, especially on rewards blockades and the song library. If there is something that I can appreciate about this game compared to the last, it’s that unnecessary notifications don’t flood my game... for now. That’s all I have to say about my experience.

This game makes some really weird choices. For instance. You have to be Level 25 in order to even Like a song, you have to be level 15 to Chat with friends, that’s right the ability to CHAT is locked behind a Level wall. Something as simple as changing your profile pic will require you to be Level 16. This in its self wouldn’t be such a problem, if the game didn’t have what it call a “Experience Cap”. You can only earn so much. EXP a day, you can break that cap, by using the games premium currency, which means you will have to spend some money, just to level up! This makes it really hard to stay engaged in the first place, I like the idea of being able to play against another person all while discovering new artists you thought you’d never be into, but this game makes a lot of weird choices, I’m not a big fan of all these Level restrictions, why must I be a certain level to customize or like a song I thought was pretty cool? I have Apple Music so whenever I find a song I just look it up on there and add it to my library, and this is one of the games strongest aspects, discovering new tunes. It’s hard to recommend, simply because of the absurd Level restrictions the game requires you to have to even express yourself.

Reduce the ads without premium also without premium make it to where you can listen to music and I have all the playlists to guess two for free without watching ads make it to where you can earn tournament points to create your own tournaments by winning tournaments and then with premium ad exclusive content like early songs onto premium only early playlist on the premium only and then after the first two weeks release it for free then also a premium y’all could do a mode where you have to guess the song instrumental or just the lyrics and on premium you can make it to where they have premium clans where you can earn X extra XP and coins but on free mode you should add clans which are like groups which you can send your friends so you can play group matches

Amazing game it entertains Me when needed most and the features are really nice. But there are a few main problems for me that might result into deleting th game. First off there are way to many adds after one round an add and they are always telling you "would you like to continue watching adds or join for on week free." Honestly I don't want to spend my money on a VIP thing but if you aren't pressured into buying premium then you have adds everywhere. Secondly I'm a mobile user on my phone and my game always glitches out and it's really annoying and it usually happens when I am in the middle of a game and it take me to my home screen. Please get this fixed please and thank you.

While this game is a lot like SP2, it is just different enough. It does tend to get confusing as they throw. It at you every turn. Do this, do that, do the other thing. I need to figure it what some of the things are. What is a FRAGMENT? I got some of them, not sure what to do with them. I started several random games with people, and I guess they think they are to good to play with me so they basically ghost you. Took me some searching on how to get rid of those games. Basically, open that players profile, click on the three dots on the upper left and archive the game. More to come after I play a while longer. It would be nice if there was a place to see all the rules. Off to google I go!!

There is some bugs with VoiceOver that I’ve been noticing, within this app. When you go to accept the challenge using voiceover, you can’t dismiss the dialogue while using voice over. I experienced, that when I go to accept a challenge, I have to turn VoiceOver off that way I can be able to close out of that dialogue. If y’all can fix that right away, I would really appreciate it. Plus, the advertisements are not accessible whenever I close them. I have to close and reopen SongPop to close some ads. However, some advertisements are closable with voiceover. if y’all can please find a way to fix some of these bugs, I would really appreciate it.

As a player of Song Pop Classic, I only recently started playing this version of Song Pop because daily missions started requiring me to do so. Overall impression: it’s like someone put ALL of their ideas into a bag, then threw them up on a table. It’s difficult to navigate and is visually very cluttered. Just too much going on for my taste. The only thing I do like is earning new frames that transfer over to my Classic app.

If you love music, you will love this game. It is a lot of fun. The only problem I have with it is there is no one to communicate with. I guess this is a sign of things to come in the future. It is going to cause a lot of frustration in the human community. They finally transferred the game over but as I had already cancelled the other One a long time ago, I had to cancel this one to do it. So I presume next month we will be back to connecting the 2 again. It will become a monthly thing. It is what it is besides that I love this game. SP 2 is a headache. Mostly SongPop opens blank. Now SP 3 has some tune thing with 3burts 😂 of sound & you guess the song. Only problem the sound seldom works so unless you a mind reader you can’t guess what you can’t hear. Besides that it is a bag of fun
