I wanted an app to tell me ways in which I could reduce my individual carbon footprint, like make swaps. I live in the US where everyone’s carbon footprint is huge. I don’t want to just pay money to an African country that doesn’t need my help to feel fine about the amount of carbon I produce. I’m literally paying indulgences like a medieval catholic rich person. This is tone deaf!

I like the idea as someone a few years into my sustainability journey, but I think Ecologi is better (even though they don’t have an app yet) because they let you choose where you plant your trees, there’s different projects every month, and you can offset your pets and family members’ emissions. You can also add additional trees/C02 offsets mid-month and they have gift packages as well. Ecologi also has business plans (because while the consumers can help, at the end of the day 100 corporations are responsible for 70% of emissions.)

Not sponsored, just some thoughts for improvement. Ecologi is Uk based and doesn’t have an app, so for some people this might work better.

It’s great what they’re doing, and it makes sense that there’s a way to donate, but why isn’t there a free version? Users shouldn’t have to pay a subscription to learn how to reduce their carbon footprint.

There is a lot of transparency about where your money goes. The carbon ledger helps that sense of transparency. They also show that these projects are independently certified for effectiveness. I admit to being worried about giving money to something I cannot see in person. However, it is a compelling case to give money though this app: to pool money towards a common cause and use a fraction of that money to attract others to the cause. If I could ask for more: 1) Can we see and hear more stories about the most recent carbon purchases by this app members? 2) I would love to be able to fine-tune my carbon calculation based on monthly consumption (home energy bill; gas purchases; pounds of meat; and anything else we have control over in our daily lives.)

First off, the interface is beautiful! It’s very intuitive and user-friendly. It calculates your average carbon output and lets you chose what area you’d like to contribute to offset your personal carbon output and become neutral!

It does cost an average between $13-20, depending on your average. You can lower the monthly contribution by doing goals in Klima .

One thing I do really appreciate is the transparency of costs for the company. It tells you directly where all your money is going to. They have also highlighted their legitimacy by partnering with organizations created by the likes of WWF for strict high standards in their missions they choose.

I would highly recommend Klima to individuals who’d like to decrease their personal carbon output (just for responsibility sake). It will take world corporations and governments to do drastic change, but there’s nothing wrong with doing everything you (as an individual) can do to help reduce it, even by a little. It ALL adds up!

A really beautiful app that makes everything extremely simple and transparent. The monthly cost to offset was actually surprisingly affordable. Would highly recommend.

Such a great, intuitive, educational, and amazing app. I think a great feature to add is to be able to “double” your carbon offset so that you are contributing more not just offsetting your footprint

this app makes it super easy to offset your carbon footprint. I was surprised and a little embarrassed by just how high mine was, but glad I can take this action to start! They made it easy and Klima is beautiful. Definitely recommend!

Love the idea and Klima ! For those of you that are climate conscious, this is a great app. Also I’ll say, if you think the subscription is too much, you can always lower it to what you feel comfortable paying - anything helps 🙂

I came across this on my IG feed and was curious. After a little research independent from their own information it came across as legitimate and really does help offset what I use. I also like that it can help me keep in mind what my carbon footprint actually looks like, and gives easy actionable items to implement in my life.

To be able to offset my carbon footprint and help our planet. Extremely fast and easy to set up. Explanations are quick to the point to explain how each project is impactful. I was basically able to click through everything on Klima which answered all my questions and concerns. Very transparent.

This type of app allows people to be aware of their impact on the environment. It teaches you how you can adjust the small things and make a difference. It is also refreshing knowing I am making an impact even though I don’t really know how to do the things the projects that they sponsor do on their own.

Finally a great way to offset emissions at the individual level. Businesses are doing this already across the world, and this app allows each of us to be responsible about what we emit and choose how to balance it with a simple selection of technologies and initiatives. It takes some effort from everyone to reverse climate change, and this app helps achieve this in a thoughtful way

Klima is truly well designed. It allows you to get an estimate of your carbon impact and immediately go carbon neutral. It’s really cool because you get to track how much solar energy you’re producing and how many trees have been planted. You have options on which methods you use so if you’d just prefer to only plant trees that’s an option too! I highly recommend Klima!

My new years resolution was to be more environmentally conscious including having a close to or negative carbon offset. So Klima is literally perfection I love seeing where the money is going & what it's helping do for the planet! In 2022 with so much climate change disasters happening right in our faces this is definitely a worthwhile app to get and continue using cant wait to see how many Trees, Power, & Meals i help with through out the year/years with this app's help! Klima is so great. It costs very little to offset your carbon footprint and it’s so simple. And as you work on lowering your carbon footprint, you can lower your subscription amount(or not!).
