so much options & features, wish there was an option to change the voice or record your own voice.. I like that I can customize my own night light colors & the different options of white noise.. only missing the white noise of a Campfire 🏕️ 🔥

I’m going to agree with the other review that states they ask for WAY too much information. It started to make me feel very uncomfortable, and then I went back to read what other people said, and saw that I was not alone. I’ll be deleting SmartNightLight. It’s just odd and unnecessary for this much information to be handed over while signing up. My entire house runs on smart gadgets so I’m pretty familiar what is required based on the tech I’m setting up, and this amount of fishing is not normal for a gadget like this.

Even though SmartNightLight controls a Bluetooth device, it requires your location, requires that you register with your email, and sends that information to China. I block incoming traffic from China and SmartNightLight won’t work unless I allow that traffic. Also, tried clicking on the link for the developer’s privacy policy in SmartNightLight Store by just got a blank page. So, I have no idea what their privacy policy is, but they clearly send the data overseas.

The fact it auto turns off after 4 hours RUINS the position I want It to have in my house. Really a bummer

And as of lately ; the speed control has been completely defunct. Me and my partner both tried to do it on our phones ; deleted SmartNightLight ; unplugged and back again : nothing.

This is really my dream light. But the fact of these two problems is so irritably dumb and annoying I want to return it or destroy it.

Out of nowhere, SmartNightLight has stopped working properly for me. I cannot change the light settings in SmartNightLight , only look at my account info. App is up to o date. I have disconnected/reconnected lamp, deleted and redownloaded app…everything. Remote still works but I bought the light for the Bluetooth technology that included more color options. Please fix this!

I read the comments that it was impossible to register before using it. But I didn't meet any problems when registering, which was very smooth.

It worked fine for awhile but now my light stopped moving and it won’t let me make it move again

It asked me for my location at first so I said no to that, it was kind of weird. If you just connect to bluetooth which it asks for in the beginning it works absolutely fine. I think it’s a great product

Idk why these other people are saying this my device connected to my phone very fast and didn’t ask many questions.

Agree with others that SmartNightLight asks for far too much access for a night light. I declined access to everything.

Update today (1/21) has rendered SmartNightLight useless. Color selection no longer works. The light just cycled through color changes. Switches (breathe, turning scenes on/off, etc) no longer work. Completely ruined the functionality of the light. I’ll be returning mine.

This was my birthday present and i was so happy to get it. Less than one month after I got it, it just stopped working. It flashed blue a bunch of times and then turned off. No matter what I do it doesn’t turn back on. I didn’t use it that often, i would turn it off after an hour. i’m so confused

The wave stopped working and then started working and then stopped again and the speaker is always saying minimize volume minimize volume and repeats it over and over. my roommates machine works fine but I’m always having different problems with mine.
I love this light and I wish it worked.

I love SmartNightLight it’s easy to use I love the colors we can choose although, I do wish that I can change the color of the stars, but I love it!

I’m not sure if its SmartNightLight or my projector itself but it sometimes will not let me change the color of my projector and will shut on and off by itself and say “bluetooth mode”. It will repeat this process over and over and its weird and loud.

I just got mine and red the whole manual. I downloaded SmartNightLight but it’s wont let me register. It says my connection failed everytime even tho my internet is fine. I was so excited for the mid and spent $35 on this. I expected better from it.

I have no idea how to even get into SmartNightLight because all there is in it is log in and registered. In the directions it says to register a new account but how do I even do that if it gives me no option? I don’t even know what it means when it says mailbox and password.

Could be a cool app, but the second i tried to use any of the customization options the projector flashed rapidly and then turned off the light. Trying to turn the light back on worked for about 30 seconds.

The light changes with the rhythm after voice recognition.

I tried to set my star night light to go back on ocean wave so the colors could move but it isn’t working. How do I troubleshoot this?

SmartNightLight allows you to make adjustments to your light by just dragging your finger along the color wheel, making live changes appear instantly (like in the Nanoleaf app). Also, being able to swipe left/right to switch from laser to star adjustment is *great* and I really wish all my other light apps had that, it speeds things up. I don’t use the scenes much, only the mixed color one, but may do so seeing there have been lots of updates. Would be cool to see a color changing mode that is basically much slower to change than normal (sorry if there is one and I missed it).

And to people who don’t like the 4 hour auto-off, I understand—but, I have many many projector and/or laser lights and can tell you that the only two lights whose motor broke also have always-on motors. I believe that the 4 hour auto-off function forces the motor to turn off and on (“reset”) and, thus, function longer in the future. So, the auto-off is not a bad thing once you understand it aids longevity. I haven’t run into any bugs, though strangely one of my two smart projectors doesn’t respond to the remote control and can only be adjusted with SmartNightLight .

One of my favorite parts of this light was the way the colors moved around like clouds and after this recent update they stopped doing that! I still have the option for breathe but I’m sad they don’t move anymore. Also when connected to the Bluetooth it tends to mess up and flash or continue to shut off when playing music. Anyone have any solutions or is this to be expected? Still a cool light but sad to see it work differently after one update.

Worked fine at first but now when I play music it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting the bluetooth and each times it pauses the music. It says “Bluetooth mode” “Bluetooth connected” just to disconnect and do the same thing over and over again.

Do not create an account on SmartNightLight, I’ve gotten so many scam emails it’s crazy. I wasn’t sure why you would need an account just to change the lighting, but I figured there’d be no harm. Not only can I not log into the account anymore, but I get 5-8 scam emails a day sent to the email I used. They must sell the email addresses or something because I’ve never received so much spam constantly. It’s not worth it, just use the remote it comes with instead.

I love this galaxy projector so far, but the only reason I’m giving such a low rating is because I feel like it needs more.. I think it would be a little better if they added an alarm , for work maybe!

I would love to make it a 5 but as of lately the wave function is not working. It’s just stuck while the green stars go in and out. Is there a way to fix this?

overall i love the product, it creates a beautiful atmosphere in my room. however, every time i turn it on through SmartNightLight , the device loudly says “bluetooth mode” which becomes very annoying. i haven’t used the music capability yet but the device always makes a low humming noise. SmartNightLight is overly complicated for what you’re getting and somewhat difficult to use.

these are all minor inconveniences, and i would say my only major complaint is that the stars only come in one color, which is green, and i would rather the stars be any color other than green

I downloaded SmartNightLight and I have the like original circle one and in over here trying to connect it and the thing won’t even connect it just keeps going and going and going I’ve sat here for 30 minutes and my phone has been under it next to it over it everything it’s not working!

It randomly started making a buzzing noise and it was pretty annoying for a while but then I got very used to it and it was actually a comfort thing for a while but then it just stopped and now I don’t know how to get my buzzing back

So everything is nice and works but for me the music doesn’t work when I try to turn on the music it is just silent and I was excited for that feature but it really made me upset

I like this product but when it says it needs an update, the update doesn’t exist. Like SmartNightLight store says error every time. So i have to delete it and redownload it and reconnect everything

My iPad is my main device due to it being easier than my iPhone mini, so, whenever i try to change the colors it never lets me as it says: ‘reconnecting..’ but, it always lets me listen to music. I deleted it off my phone and it won’t work at all, so, its quite annoying. Please fix this bug!

Pros: The quality of the colors and sounds are great. You can even choose your preferred brightness. You can hook up your phone to it and play your own music so you don’t have to use the sounds it comes with

Cons: The stars stopped showing up even though they’re turned on and all the way up and have tried multiple difference difference settings, deleting and reinstalling SmartNightLight , unplugging it and plugging it back in, playing with the buttons on the projector itself. But nothing seems to work. I tried to report a problem rather than write a review about it and it won’t let me get past the point of selecting which app I need help with. It won’t let me select it and it won’t let me move forward. I just want my stars back!

My only complaint is that you cannot mute or lower the barking/talking once you turn it on, it is quite loud and gets a bit annoying after a while.
Second off is only being able to have it on for only 4 hours.. which is a little inconvenient to me, atleast changing it to a limit of 10 hours would be a lot nicer in my opinion, so If those changes could be made that’s be great! :)
