Fishing for info

I’m going to agree with the other review that states they ask for WAY too much information. It started to make me feel very uncomfortable, and then I went back to read what other people said, and saw that I was not alone. I’ll be deleting this app. It’s just odd and unnecessary for this much information to be handed over while signing up. My entire house runs on smart gadgets so I’m pretty familiar what is required based on the tech I’m setting up, and this amount of fishing is not normal for a gadget like this.
Blank privacy policy and sends data to China

Even though this app controls a Bluetooth device, it requires your location, requires that you register with your email, and sends that information to China. I block incoming traffic from China and the app won’t work unless I allow that traffic. Also, tried clicking on the link for the developer’s privacy policy in the App Store by just got a blank page. So, I have no idea what their privacy policy is, but they clearly send the data overseas.
Update destroyed app

Agree with others that this app asks for far too much access for a night light. I declined access to everything.
Update today (1/21) has rendered the app useless. Color selection no longer works. The light just cycled through color changes. Switches (breathe, turning scenes on/off, etc) no longer work. Completely ruined the functionality of the light. I’ll be returning mine.
