The reason for 1 star is to hopefully get your attention. But until you read this I’m not changing it. So first things first, I like how you can block the P from your device and that’s great! BUT!

1. You need a monthly subscription thing or should add one, it would be much better for everyone and doesn’t look like you wanna take a load of money out of someone’s pockets just to block a few sites and yes I know it’s free but some things in premium should be free or at least lower price like 5 to 10$ a month.

2. You can’t see your posts unless you scroll through the feed. Unfortunately. It also doesn’t bring you to your post when you get a notification on it.

3. Not sure if it’s just me or this happens with everyone else but I’m on a tablet and I CANT see the full posts on the time line, it shows half of it and I have to click just to see it. Also when I click BlockerX kinda freezes so I have to reset. Could be the tablet on that one but it’s a pretty new tablet so idk. But that’s the big issue.

4. You need a new layout on this, make it how all the other social media’s are at least, make all posts in the middle of the page so it’s clear enough to see, and easy to manage.

5. Make it where when you click on your profile you can see your posts please, cause whatever y’all got going on is pretty bad as mentioned in #2

I was actually excited to utilize this service. The first thing of accessing BlockerX and website before exploring any of its features. It leads you to almost nothing but “sign up for the premiums.” Ok, I saw some interesting features I like to use. So I signed up for it and got the trial. I try to activate some features. But it repeatedly told me sign up for the premium again after I already did. I tried to explore the features more. But it all leads back to “sign up for the premiums.” It acts the same whether its an app or website. I don’t know how they received 5 stars by many or why it’s worthy of 5 star.

BlockerX has taken 170 dollars from me and though it does a okay job at blocking stuff it blocks some necessary functions on your phone. For whatever reason when I have it downloaded I can’t use navigation or BlockerX STORE. The “buddy feature” is not only the biggest scam it makes BlockerX useless. I had to pay 20$ just to delete the blocked sites that for whatever reason blocked my use of BlockerX Store. Honestly it’s terrible that so many people also had to go through what I did and I think BlockerX should be taken off the store completely

BlockerX may work well. I never got a chance to experience that. When I set up my accountability partner they did not get the notification. Went to customer service and did what they advised multiple and it didn’t work. When I decided to cancel the service they refused to refund my money saying “ we apologize for any convenience caused. We’d like to inform you that as per our terms of usage, we don’t process the refund.” If you do get stuck be sure to block there access to your card because they WILL take a payment the next payment.

They position a button to make it look like you are using Apple to automatically create a free account for you so you don’t have to bother with making up a password. Next thing you know you just purchased a membership cause your thumb was on the home button for too long. When I realized what was going on, I couldn’t remove my thumb in time.

This is VERY deceive as many might not even know they purchased an account as most use that Apple feature all the time with new apps to then go on to the next menu without a second thought.

I purchased the one year membership. When I attempt to active the blocker, it’s says that it’s a premium feature that must be paid for. I already paid for it. This is an endless loop. I can never turn on any features. Sometimes a blank page appears that never loads anything. Sometimes I get an error message. No matter what I do I can’t get the features to start working. It seems to not be able to recognize that I purchased the premium option. But yet when I click on it it says it it purchased and then sends me back. Is this an ios16 issue? Pretty disappointed. Hopefully it will start working soon.

I agree with others that while BlockerX has its hiccups, it is effective for the most part. What I am most disappointed in is their lack of integrity. I was subscribed to their annual service for over a year and when I saw the next annual year charge, asked that I be refunded and cancel (within 3 days of the annual fee charge), I was told that they will not issue the 80$ refund. This is sleezy, disappointing, and predatory behavior. I don’t understand how every other annual service existing will give at least a partial refund, but they won’t. Please choose a service that will be fair to the customer and value you.

Non existent customer service they will bill amd bill no matter what had to get my bank involved and notified apple BlockerX should be taken off BlockerX store I tried the trial BlockerX is not what im looking for as it has easy to figure out loopholes so ive been trying to unsubscribe you cant the link they send you is bogus i emailed them got no response time to call the credit card company and im pretty sure this goes against the terms of service of the ios store so i will follow up with them as well total scam google has removed it from BlockerX store whats ios waiting for?

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! I paid for the l lifetime membership thinking this thing actually works but no, I can just turn off vpn in settings and this whole thing is gone. WORTHLESS. Do not get this it’s nothing but a scam. If a simple vpn turn off can get rid of this or just uninstall by typing sentences. It’s useless. DO NOT BUY! THIS IS SCAM! I’m going to report BlockerX to a friend that works with apple who’s close friend with apple services boss. And get this scam removed unless I can get my money back. Use BlockerX for 30 mins and saw how much of a scam it was.

BlockerX is a blatant scam and took 162$ from me without even confirming any of my personal information for a receipt, thank God Apple Pay always sends you your recent purchases so I have documentation of that. It took this money from me and when I went to go check my bank account(which was immediately charged) and came back to BlockerX I was KICKED OUT. everytime I tried to sign back in with my gmail it would say “Unable to verify subscription” and is asking me to RENEW my subscription, which is crazy considering it took 162 from me. I thought it was a monthly subscription but nope, took the 162 straight out of my account and kicked me out of BlockerX . So now my concern is if they are going to charge my card again since it’s already been on file and apparently it “auto renews”. Complete scam do not get BlockerX.

I am very dissatisfied with BlockerX. I purchased a lifetime subscription in an attempt to make a life change and it does not work as advertised. My accountability partner does not get any communication … either daily report or my request to disable features … which we have tried to disable together as a test. Support so far has been UTTERLY unresponsive to multiple requests for help. I would not buy BlockerX as it is likely that I will have to eat what I paid for it and go with another Ap to get something that actually works as advertised.

BlockerX markets itself as a p*** blocker primarily, with adblock support and other features. There is no way that their asking price is not preying on a vulnerable population of people with existing p*** addictions. A year of service or a lifetime access fee, both of which are over $100, are the only options, with no monthly subscriptions, although at those prices I doubt it would even be worth considering if it existed. The 3-day free trial (wow thanks so generous) is clearly designed for you to sign up and forget to cancel so they can take your money before you realize it. Folks, there are plenty of apps that can provide this exact service at a fraction of the cost. Community features + buddy support is nice but there’s no way it’s worth that much money.

For me the most useful tab is community..when you see how many other guys(mostly) are struggling like you it motivates you! However, it is extremely clunky .you cannot return to a post that you have submitted in the past to view comments on it. This is a huge sticking point because in order to inspire each other we have to be able to see how people are responding to our comments !!!

The time selection keeps going off and I have to redo it over and over again. Sometimes when I know my filter is not on I’m tempted to watch porn. This is a problem. If I know my filter has a 2 hour block on it every time then I won’t be so tempted to watch porn.

Basically there needs to be a change where the filter is on permanently, not we as the addicts have to keep putting it on. That type of loose freedom will make us slip.

At one point, you could turn on the panic switch for the durations of time listed, and you HAD to wait out the time you picked because you couldn’t undo it. Now, you have the option of turning off the panic switch BEFORE the duration of time is through. I don’t know if this came with an update, but what’s the point of the panic switch if you can manually switch it off?

For someone a bit tight on money, a the premium is not optional although has great features. The free version works great, it offers blocker and an accountability partner. The problem is the VPN disconnects a lot so the blocker disconnects. Sometimes it won’t reconnect unless I manually do it. This defeats the purpose of the blocker. During that time you can access any content. It’s a great app , I would give it five stars if it did not disconnect as much.

I really do enjoy BlockerX but there are a couple of things that needs to be fixed:

1. The VPN
- The VPN blocks my cellular data so I can’t use it when I’m not on WIFI. I test it to see if it’s my cellular and it works well when the VPN is off. When I asked support about it, they said they’ll look into it. So, I’m just waiting for that.

2. Premium Purchase
- I purchase lifetime premium because I really liked BlockerX . However, when I bought it, I was still on the free version. I had to request a refund from Apple. I still have some trust issues getting it again because I don’t want that to happen again. The support team was helpful and willing to work with me when it happened tho.

Overall, great app! Especially if you have an accountability partner.

BlockerX has been great at preventing relapses on P and helps me keep myself accountable BUT!

BlockerX seems to interfere with BlockerX Store for Apple products. I just had to disable this app on my iPad so that I could download a Planner/Journaling app. this app seemed to outright block me from downloading BlockerX on iPad. Trying repeatedly on iPhone and turning on/off Wi-Fi a few times seems to eventually let me into BlockerX Store. iPad will allow me to open BlockerX Store and search for apps easily, but won’t allow me to download/install apps. iPhone will simply tell me it cannot connect to BlockerX Store without repeatedly closing/opening BlockerX Store and turning on/off Wi-Fi. Once the iPhone can finally gain access to BlockerX Store, it has no issues downloading apps.

This appears to be a good app on pc, but on the iPhone it randomly blocks apps on your phone( Chrome, Clash Royale). When I say it blocks chrome I mean entirely, no good sites, either. It also has you in the VPN even if you don’t have porn block turned on.
To fix it you have to turn off the VPN (it turns it back on eventually). So kind of annoying

I absolutely love BlockerX. I love how you can block porn for free with the VPN and it’s very easy to get it all set up. However, I would like an option to make it not so accessible to turn off. Like some sort of password protected option so when you go to turn off the blocker, you have to type in a password. If there’s a way to do that, someone help me out lol.

BlockerX does its job but it isn’t perfect. Some suggestions to make BlockerX 5 stars: 1. You can deactivate the apps effect by logging out something needs to be done about this. 2. You shouldn’t be able to log out whenever you want maybe have a password to log out. 3. Be able to interact with your accountability partner (when you give them your email).

I enjoy BlockerX cause it’s free and it does its job well. The only problem I have with it however is that it keeps disconnecting me from the VPN which is kinda annoying since I have to constantly reconnect to it. I just wish that would stop happening otherwise I would have given them 5 stars easy.

It’s a good app overall but this new update makes the vpn disconnect which makes it easier to relapse and there should be a thing where you can lock certain features with a password

BlockerX so far seems to be useful I just put it into application as I try to overcome this challenge, the only thing that’s making me a bit nervous or hesitant is that the porn filter seems to shut off frequently and I have to keep going on to return it on, is there any way to set it to stay on?

Its a really useful app but i had an idea how about it instead of having an accountability partner what if there was an optional feature where when you search up any sort of porn the panic switch will be automatically activated. Just like the iphone lockout feature for example you search up porn on google then the panic switch acivates for 15 minutes then if you do it a second time it will block it for 30 minutes 3rd offense the panic switch would be activated for 1 hour so on and so forth. This would be a really useful feature for me.

So I really like BlockerX! Because I’ve been addicted to porn for over a year and it’s been really hard to stop. But this just makes it so easy to quit! I love BlockerX! The only thing tho is that I thought there were key words where you enter a word like “porn” and it blocks you from searching the word “porn” I would really like to see that for the free section 😊

Been looking for a great web blocker app to help me with my addiction. BlockerX does it the best! There’s no way around the web blocker without deactivating the VPN I’ve tried every keyword to see if I could get around it, impossible. Best app on the store for a free web blocker. Only suggestion is to add a password to access BlockerX and to deactivate the VPN. Still an all around perfect web blocking app. Thank you.

They advertise a three day trial but then automatically charge your card without notice. You get no choice. Then “their policy” is “No refunds on renewals.” I get an app I didn’t like, don’t want, simply wanted to try—all for $90. The REASON I don’t want it? When I installed this on my iPad, it did not allow me even to open a browser. It was as if my WiFi got turned off. As soon as I removed it they all worked again.

The free part is just amazing! The premium version looks really good too! But all you gotta do is download BlockerX, accept the prompts on screen, click on this app icon, switch the p*rn filter on, accept a few more prompts and bam!!! Try searching phub with an Incognito tab… doesn’t work! Haha! Finally, cut the crap has never been taken any better! I highly recommend a try! Thank you this app for your hard work and really great app! Will be recommending for my friends who need it most!

The first step of facing any problem/addiction is always the hardest. I have spent almost all of my life addicted to porn. I always told myself that I had the will power to break it on my own, but I always failed. I knew that taking the first step and downloading BlockerX would relieve me of my porn addiction would be the end of my addiction, so the evil side of me kept it alive for as long as I could take it. Take it from me when I tell you that by downloading BlockerX, you have already conquered the most difficult step in treating your addiction. You just have to believe in yourself and constantly remind yourself that you deserve to be happy and enjoy life addiction free. You deserve it!

One of the best apps. It has an issue though, if you install it on a new device, the quiz does not give you the option to answer that you have been away from porn for years, it enforces you to pick options in order to complete activation BlockerX .

I had BlockerX for a week and I couldn’t watch any porn as long as you leave it on I tried searching up porn to see if it work and it really does block out all porn amazing I beat my meat 3 to 5 times a day in one seesion this definitely helping me

The developer pushed an update through BlockerX Store and the connection problem is now resolved. Also, i forgot to point out that when I downloaded it originally, it was killing my battery life. BlockerX is now not really impacting my batter life, so whatever they did it’s working nicely now. Thank you!
