Clapper: Video, Live, Chat Reviews

I’ve been on this app for several months now. I enjoy it so much because it’s so different than other social media sites. This is the first social media app with video content creation that got social media right! Here they combat bullying the right way. They don’t allow the toxicity like on other social media platforms. You get to personally chat with the employees of Clapper . this app allows the community to get together and allow our voice to be heard. Aside from that, Clapper is also fun! The gifts in lives are great, the radio is unique, the highlights during holidays and the groups are fun! Not only have I met amazing acquaintances, I’ve also made real true friends that I can now talk off Clapper . Clapper is nearing on its 1 year Birthday/Anniversary…Yes there has been some glitches and some things that some OG’s have had to adjust because of something that is out of Clappers control. However, aside from all that, Clapper has grown and overall, I enjoy it very much! I hope Clapper continues to grow and I hope to continue being a part of this amazing this app community! 😊🧡🧡🧡

I LOVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH!! This is definitely my favorite thing about Clapper. So important! I get on here to hear real news and opinions that aren’t censored! I have really been enjoying it a lot but there is room for improvement. I know this is supposed to be the alternative to TikTok (thank God) but it is missing some of the bells and whistles. I would like to see more categories appear. There’s so much to see on TikTok, I’d like to see more on here. To be perfectly honest, TikTok was my outlet to sing without having to post on Facebook or Instagram. Singing to strangers is a lot easier than your friends so I enjoyed that but there’s not much of that on this app. I love watching people display their talents too so I think it’d be more fun if there was more of that too. But I am loving the ability to be honest on this platform about politic, yes, but other things as well. Thank you, this app!

I came to this app from tiktok and the difference is astounding! I am actually able to post all of my content freely without being blocked or banned for no reason! The algorithm is made a lot more clear and moderation is held to a exact guidebook and not just personal opinion. The community is generally nice and if they don’t enjoy the content they typically just scroll.

That being said, there’s always room for improvements! I do think that this app should have more editing features and introduce some “effects” or filters. I know that they don’t want to just copy tiktok completely but being an app focusing on lifestyle, blogging, and educators a few effects and editing features would defiantly improve creation. I tend to make videos on tiktok still and then reupload to this app which is troublesome.

I also would like to see a bit more improvement to the audio selections as well as organization! Audio is always incredibly important when it comes to content and scrolling through each sound that seems to be sorted randomly is a bit of a chore.

All in all it is a very solid app with a lot of potential. I think they would do well to start attracting the tiktok crowed who have been burned by tiktoks horrible team.

Clapper is geared towards social interaction. I see it as a place to kinda stir up drama as it seems best fit for creators that have very strong and controversial opinions. You can “clap back” at another creator in the way you can stitch/duet on tiktok. But a lot of the videos I’ve seen like that make it seem like you can’t mute or quiet down the original video as it always plays over yours in the corner of the screen. Some of the content is good but a lot of it is just mundane life. I think Clapper has potential but I could never suggest it as a replacement for tiktok without some major upgrades. Quality of video is poor after uploading, there’s no ability to use audios in the way you can use them on tiktok and the editing is bare minimum. I’m gonna use it and see if I can develop content for it that suits the platform better but it’s definitely not the next tiktok like people seem to be saying. Enjoy it for what it is and you’ll love it.

For a new App, it is fantastic! I find so many wonderful things that TikTok doesn’t have. You can Duet in your Live! You don’t have to have 1000 followers to go Live as with TikTok. They take a fraction of the percentage of the gifts you receive on your Live. They are constantly making updates and improvements to Clapper ! It’s a super positive experience! No Trolls!!!! Clapper Developers are incredible and so supportive. They give you an amazing amount of support and you can actually chat with a person when you have questions or need assistance! It’s an adult atmosphere. Can’t wait to see how Clapper continues to grow. The only things that are a little annoying amid the number of notifications that come across and the music library is very, very limited. However, word is they are in process of improving that feature.

I honestly think Clapper is awesome... there are negatives to it but overall I think it’s a great app... some things I would recommend is adding more stuff that’s different from tik tok... Something that makes it awesome compared to tik tok... when it’s similar to Tik tok all you do is compare it to tik tok and that’s not always the best... here are some of my suggestions that might be cool... it’s my opinion so some of them are stupid... 1. Maybe you can make a leaderboard of the top people who have the most followers, you can also maybe do this for the likes, and top shared videos, all types of different categories. I think this idea could be awesome bc I’ve never really seen it anywhere else in a app like this.. I don’t have time right now to finish so this is all I’m writing... but I definitely recommend Clapper to everyone!!!

Didn’t like the videos on my feed. They were all really not great at all. I liked the first two videos I saw and then after that it was just a bunch of videos that seemed like the creators were trying too hard, jokes that weren’t funny, a lot of perverted content, and stomach churning predatory type people all over Clapper, I could go on but I’m sure this paints enough of a picture. Most of the content is, unsurprisingly, of the far right wing variety so it makes sense. Birds of a feather flock together. I was hoping for a tiktok alternative but this essentially just ended up being the version of tiktok they’d use in the movie Idiocracy, it’s pretty bad. :( maybe I’ll come back if Clapper is able to pull in creators from more niches and backgrounds so the content is more varied. Also the whole “clapback” aspect, while really clever and I like the general idea and play on words, over all the place it has in Clapper is kind of negative in connotation and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The whole app is just kind of a bad vibe :/

Okay i think most of the issues are obvious but ill be specific. I started my this app account and instantly noticed the main group of people using Clapper . I started posting, my videos did well from the start once i got the hang of the algorithm. Then the middle aged this app women got mad because the young Onlyfans girls that were getting kicked off tiktok were on this app. Now i was told by a OF girl to post my food vids on this app not a middle aged adult. Although the middle aged adults were the primary ones liking and following me. Fast forward a bunch, i havent used Clapper in months 200+ notifications but i dont post because ITS BORING. It was the same as it was then, now. This is WestVirginia Hillbilly tiktok with no beautiful women and old people. Most of those people look like cousins. Theres so much potential. An how are you making money with no ads? Plus the layout is terrible. I know your looking for an older crowd but this aint it chief. I really did try.

I came to this app the beginning of February. I learned that Clapper you have the ability to meet people from all over the world. Through interaction I met so many amazing people on here. They accepted me for being myself and making original content I enjoy making. I have been trying to recruit friends to Clapper and tell them all the time what they’re missing out on. It’s the only app that the creator speaks to you for questions, engaged with the community, and is supportive of their content creators on there. I absolutely think Clapper will grow bigger with time as the amount of time I’ve been on Clapper have seen an influx of people coming over. Keep up the great work! I love this app even more so than I ever did tiktok. Mostly because of the free sheep child. I feel I am allowed to say whatever I want with out being banned. I know hate speech doesn’t count, but I also feel like this app allows me to defend & take up for myself & I try to do that in a way where I’m not being too hateful. I’m definitely not racist, homophobic, transphobic or whatever type of phobic there is against ppl who are different! So thanks! I have 4 out of 5 stars because I feel a few things could be different. There should be more music to choose from & I wish I could upload more pics at once than just 1. I can pick up to 30 some vids to use, but only one photo. I also would love to have a blue check mark. I have nearly 13k followers if not more now & I could make funnier & better content!

I see there is censorship here too as I have experienced violation of videos inaccurately claiming “conspiracy theory” when I provide a video of a piece of technology that is “patented” and “documented” as in existence. This is aggravating when I know it’s. it is not a violation but maybe the person they hired to view the videos has little knowledge or possibly unable to decipher between facts and theory.

We have to dispute the violations that clearly were not in violation. The persons viewing videos should be non-bias person with the abilities to understand when a video of displaying new technology electronic device with a verifiable patent number, it cannot possibly be “conspiracy theory” yet an electronic device with a patent number. SHAKE MY HEAD.

As a creator I want the freedom of speech without censorship. This is why I came to this app. I expect to be respectful, truthful, worship God without hindrance and to have my constitutional rights valued rather than squashed. This is why my friends and I came to this app.

During these trying times, we all need a voice. Sadly, tyrannical social platforms are silencing opinions of those that don’t play along with their rhetoric. this app on the other hand is a platform where people from both sides of the aisle have an opportunity to share their political opinions and religious beliefs. The user interface is very similar to that of Tiktok. this app has an advantage over TikTok on a few aspects. They have “groups” which is a great way for people to hold group conversations. They also have a dislike button which tiktok doesn’t. Clapper has a long way to go as far as effects and editing, but with the support of the community they will get there soon. Of your looking for a mew platform that resembles tiktok but doesn’t silence those who disagree, this app is the one.

It’s the 17+ version of TT which is awesome for video microbloggers who don’t want an audience of minors, however Clapper needs a lot of work.
Sometimes while scrolling, you’ll still hear the audio of the last video you were on while the current video is playing.
Often while clicking “like” while a video is playing, the video will abruptly stop, causing the user to scroll back and return to the video and restart it to finish it, which affect the amount of views the video is actually getting, or looking like the user is “spam liking” the video.
The algorithm needs some serious tweaking. It’s a great app for all users but if my interest isn’t gun collecting, it doesn’t make sense to see them in my FYP repeatedly.
If they aren’t truly moderating their content while supporting free speech, it’s going to be a slippery slope and end up like Parler.
The blocking system needs fixing. I should be able to block and not see the user ever again. All other apps do this.
Adults want to play with cute filters too, come on!
While uploading a video, it looks like there’s some double-processing going on before it’s even uploaded? It took forever to get to “edit” the video, and THEN publish it.
Other than that, looking forward to the future of Clapper. :)

There are some big things I feel this app is lacking just from skimming the user interface and setting up my account.

Please give us a choice to show comments or not. I personally don’t want others to see what I’ve commented on. Feels very intrusive.

Dark mode toggle would be wonderful. Everything on my phone is dark mode. Right now this app is not fun to use bc of how bright it is.

Generally annoyed Clapper just, randomly gave me 30 creators to follow.

There are no filters, filming feels very bare minimum compared to tiktok. No auto caption feature, I hope that gets added quickly. It’s something ppl have been asking tiktok for a long time (technically it’s not out for all users so it’s still not out), so having that would be a big boost for Clapper.

Same problem with the interface of Clapper covering up videos- can it be toggled/disappear after a few seconds? Reappear if you tap on the screen or pause?

I can’t put a finger on it, but visually something about Clapper is bugging me. I think it’s bc it’s too close to tiktok, so it very obviously looks wrong. (Kind of an uncanny valley situation I guess.) Maybe looking more like it’s own app rather than a tiktok clone will fix that.

Otherwise, I’m excited to see how Clapper grows.

Clapper is riddled with glitches and the content is garbage ripped from other sites. Their mantra “freedom of speech” is equally as glitchy, as they appear to use the phrase to lure people in, then apply a social justice type of oversight panel to declare what’s acceptable...better hope ideological views align.
Finally, the effects and other features/sound libraries are very limited.

I have no issue with a new startup app trying to garner attention and gain users, but their tactics are pretty sketchy and what is allowed to happen is questionable (it’s insulting to original content creators), there are so many stolen videos from other similar sites in particular TikTok, it’s like a cheap knockoff, with so many less features.
Good luck to them, but they really need to find their own place and perfect what they do, rather than try to be a lesser version of similar sites, because the others have already perfected it.

I joined Clapper because I love the fact that there was free speech. My posts were basically of other individuals from this app or from the other site where I always removed their name from the video when I placed it on this app. That site was and is very censored, when it comes to Conservative speech.

Over a week ago I went to go post something on this app and it prompted me to sign on, which I thought was weird. I tried to sign on and it said that there was something wrong with my account. I reached out to the Help desk and was told they would check. Next, I get a message from a Karlo stating that I should be back up within 24 hours and that I should remove videos that were misinformation. 😠

I waited 48 hours and still was not able to sign on. I emailed again and asked them to restore my account so I could remove my videos to a site that actually is for free speech. It’s going on two weeks and I have not received any response or my account restored. I had over 10 thousand followers, now that is all lost. I can say one thing about the other site, they at least inform you what they are doing and why they did it. this app just shutdown your page without any warning, and lie to you about it.

If you want free speech, be careful what you post on this site. Otherwise, I suggest you seek other sites that actually promotes free speech.

I was so fed up with tiktok when I found this app and it was immediately refreshing. Tiktok has the worst and most ignorant moderation system there could be. But this is about this app. The silly random videos I was suspended for on Tiktok are fine here because there was nothing wrong with them in the first place and you don’t know how much I respect platforms that don’t harass you ever 3 or 4 posts for something.

Try this app you won’t be disappointed. I had 500 followers within 2 days. I did bring over a lot of content the first day but I say that for anyone that is worried about traffic and users on this app there are a lot and they seem to respect free speech so far.

Tiktok makes me sick.

This is truly a great app everyone I’ve meet so far in the 4 days that I’ve been here is just amazing sweet loving ppl. When you come here you not only gain friends but you also gain a family. Thank you this app for making such an awesome app making it possible for ppl all across the world to be able to come together and make true friends and family. I haven’t been able to do my own live or radio yet lol cause I’m to busy going into my family radio hanging out I just love can’t help it. I promise there are other ppl on here that feels exactly the way I do. I know this cause they have told me they feel the same way. Like I said thanks this app for everything yall rock❤️❤️❤️❤️

I will get right too it:
Pros: it has a basic, easy to use operation system. It records 2 min of video. The videos are clean cut and easy to view. The profile page is basically similar to Tiktok.
Cons:
No lip sync feature (which is what truly draws most people to Tiktok). It has no zoom in or out or even tools to animate the video like Tiktok does (another key factor to people wanting Tiktok over other apps). You can’t edit your video to add interesting features or transitions. (Again, Tiktok feature).
The biggest con is the music selection there is no search ability—you have to scroll through everything!
There is NO RESTRICTIONS for people who want CLEAN content (no half naked kid twerking or whatever EW!). That is a MAJOR draw for Tiktok because it allows people to stay away from UNWANTED content. It also keeps FREEZING and the downloads take forever! I have fast internet/cell service but the downloads take forever!

Otherwise Clapper is a great app... for BASIC recording. When it includes all the above it will worth the download!
Just fix Clapper up and refine it more and you’ve got a great app!!

I love this new app. It is for adults only!!! Also it automatically scrolls to the next video, you can comment with videos on other people’s videos. You can see a history of comments on anyone (great for weeding out toxic trolls).

if I’m going to be picky, there are a couple areas for improvement. Clapper isn’t so I intuitive for new users; I wish when one opens the comments that the video would pause otherwise it scrolls to the next video; please add fun music and filter functionality. I know I can do this through other apps, but sometimes I want a one stop shop. #spoiled

Overall, this is SO much better than TikTok!

Clapper setup a profile for me before I had even heard of it. Clapper ripped a profile picture from my social media and uploaded my video. Created an account for me.
They do not have my permission and they do not have a license from twitter to do this. This is illegal and these reviews are fake and Chinese.
